A handsome old house in a glorious setting overlooking Ax Les Thermes and across to the mountains of the Pyrenees. Gorgeous large room with a small balcony and fabulous view. Good comfy bed and stylish furnishings. Breakfast was downstairs in a big room with bay windows. The breakfast was ample and delicious. The hostess was charming and gave guests time to chat about their plans and offer advice. It was very hot when we stayed, but the house remained cool and we were able to enjoy the plunge pool - also with a great view. Altogether an unusual property, with French charm and a touch of faded glamour, that we felt very lucky to have found.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of St Jean Pied de Port. Best coffee!!!

Loved everything…town, hotel, staff, resto. Room was exceptional with closet for each of us, a little foyer, double sinks, separate WC, crisp linens.

The shower is in the bathtub which was a little dicey getting in/out. Hand rail would be helpful. The only way we could reuse towels was to ask staff not to clean our room during the stay which i have no problem with.

Nice location in St. Jean. Good sized room & bath. Nice breakfast daily at additional cost.

Service at the Michelin-starred restaurant was slow to start, 27 mins to take a drink order…. Price of room was higher than displayed on hotel billboard & then breakfast was additional.
