When we drive up to the pension, I was disappointed. I hadn’t read in the reviews that the pension was just in the middle of a roundabout on an international highway. Granted, all around were the most beautiful mountains, and the hotel was a beautiful old wooden farmhouse; but - that highway! It is not often that I change my mind so completely about a place. Although the location was odd, you couldn’t see or even really hear the highway from the hotel. The staff was smiley and welcoming. The room was huge, comfortable and fun. We went out for a walk and found that we were actually in a small, charming village with walking paths and the most stunning views. On the other side of the bridge, not far away (by car), were many delicious restaurants. By complete surprise, this was the best and quirkiest hotel of our trip.

- proximity to the highway - payment in cash - The owner who checked us in only spoke German, not even a word of Italian despite being on the border - or English, which is fine, but somewhat strange in this line of business. However, we managed to communicate!

great location right next to the highway. Super clean and spacious room. cute mountainous interior. very nice staff and great breakfast. Vegetarian options possible.

What a lovely place runned by a very nice and friendly family. We really enjoyed staying here, the beds were good, the garden and view is beautiful!

There is a little noise from the highway during the night, but this wasn't a big deal for us

Nice and clean family hotel, very kind and helpfull receptionist.

The cleaning personal opened the door 2 times without knocking on the door ( first around 8.30) bevor the check out time (10 o'clock). We had to pay again and again the motorway fee, when we drived to the next village on the hill or continued our trip. It is better to use the small willage way, even if it takes longer.

We loved staying in this picturesque Austrian chalet during our stopover while driving through. It was conveniently off the highway, yet quiet and quaint. The room we had for our family was very comfortable and charming, divided into two separate sleeping areas. In walking distance is a grocery store, a couple shops, and a little food truck. And lovely views!

They did not speak much English (and we don't speak German!), but we were still able to communicate without any issues.

The staff was great, they even lent us dishes for our room.

The beds were too soft for me but I guess that's a matter of opinion.

About procces of booking: First i recived an offer 75 eu. but i paid 125 eu. Iv sended to booking.com claim but they didnt accept although iv sended printscreen etc. Iv really dissapointed and please beware about special offer from booking! I dont know is it fault booking or pension Sonnenheim, i realy dont care but i feel cheated

Good friendly service.Rooms were clean and well sized.

Breakfast was very limited and that there is no card payments is very strange given the Covid 19 pandemic and how everything has migrated to cradle payments based on hygiene
