The good: The house was clean, nicely decorated and in a great location. We would rent again if some items were fixed and managed better. We had 8 people and there was plenty of room. One of the primary reasons we chose this house is the outdoor fireplace and TV which is advertised in the first picture on VRBO. Unfortunately, neither of these worked and when we called the mgt. company they said they haven't worked in sometime and couldn't be fixed. They said the fireplace kept blowing out with the wind and the TV connections outside kept breaking. We would have chosen another house would we have known upfront. Due to this and the multiple times we had to keep calling on items, we did ask for a 10% discount after our stay and we were told "we don't provide discounts", "we've had air conditioners go out and we still don't provide a discount, we try to fix it promptly but no discount." Just beware. We paid to have the hot tub heated but it was not heated when we arrived. When we called we found out that paying to heat the hot tub meant we were allowed to heat the hot tub ourselves. They didn't send us the directions ahead of time so we couldn't use it the first night. There's a process where you turn the heater on and it takes about 40 minutes to heat up and it stays on for 2.5 hours so it takes some planning use. The hot tub stopped working the second day, the indoor fireplace stopped working and we had to request a stopper for the master tub. The management company was quick to come out and fix them but because they didn't happen all at once it was multiple calls and periods of not being able to use them. The cookware was nice but they only had one non-stick pan which made normal cooking difficult. There were other small items but the biggest issue was the outside area not working as advertised.

The home is perfect for large families and has a great open floor plan, a well stocked kitchen, and amazing views of the ocean and beach. It was a 5 min or less walk to bars/restaurants/shops on IOP, a 5 min drive to the grocery store, and close to Charleston, Boone Hall, and many other local attractions. Unforgettable family memories made. We will be back for sure.

Just like the photos, this house is gorgeously decorated and fabulously located. The property management team came up a bit short for a problem that we encountered but other than that, I highly recommend this property to others. Loved the convenience of the elevator for lugging our groceries and luggage up and down stairs. The pool is perfect for little ones because it is fenced in and adults could relax without running after escaping toddlers.

Loved the outside living spaces and spent many hours at the pool. The only minor issue we had was the internet, it doesn't work well but it didn't damper our stay.

3) garbage disposal
4) Sonos Sound System
5) Wifi was inconsistent at best
6) Pool was extremely warm (not heated) due to sun, so probably needs a chiller installed
7) Elevator did not work
8) The keys provided did not actually go with the house

The good news is that the company was very responsive when we called (three times during the first three days) and sent staff to try to address the issues (though the wifi and sonos never quite worked well).

Each bedroom (King beds in all) has it's own bath and are large. The home condition is 5 Stars. 3 minute drive to restaurants on Sullivan's Island or 10 minutes to Mt Pleasant. Grocery store and shopping all convenient as well. East Islands' personnel very attentive to our needs and questions. We hope to return!

The pool very much needs two tables or so with UMBRELLAS at the pool. Also there were a couple of old rusty beach chairs, one of which was broken and unusable. Always have a good experience with East Island and this may have been the best house ever in the nine times we have rented. However, a recommendation: two or minimally one of the six bedrooms needs to have twin beds. Much better for family accommodations, particularly for children. This was the one disappointment.
