The property was in a good location for the centre of Laon but was quiet and secluded. The space was well furnished and comfortable. The bed had crisp, clean linen and there were fresh towels in the bathroom, plenty of hot water as well. I liked the individuality of the room and the security of a key code entrance. The host was very welcoming and helpful. I loved the courtyard garden too.

It would have been useful to have soap provided in the bathroom and perhaps a little milk in the fridge for cups of tea. Everything else was perfect.

Really cosy, warm and comfortable apartment well designed with open plan kitchen and shower area. Very close to the cathedral and a selection of shops and restaurants. We were lucky to find a parking space just around the corner but there is no parking at the property.

Very modern and beautifully fitted en suite bathroom. We are sure that most people will love this but the bathroom had no door and no ceiling.

Fantastic location just next to the Laon cathedral, in the heart of the old town. Very nice owners and comfortable clean apartment with furnished kitchenette. Great atmosphere of the former small convent.

Charming renovation of an old convent. Attic room is where you want to be. Bonus - can see Laon Cathedral towers from your windows and they are lit at night.

Wish there were more grocery stores nearby. (The kitchenette is very usable)

You live in a real history, which lasted in this place for many centuries. The place is quiet and the location is excellent, just 4 minutes by foot to the Cathedral. All the facilities are there - kitchen, bathroom... We came by car and in this city there are problems with the parking within the city walls, but there is a free parking outside the walls, and it is also around 5 min walk from the hotel. The place is also good for the instagram pictures, it is really something special.

First, it is dark and creepy in the "bedroom" - all around are the photos of people from old times. There are 6 lights, but only 2 from them are working. 2nd, it is cold there. There are 2 or even 3 radiators which I didn't manage to switch on. 3rd, nothing works properly. The doors do not close, already mentioned lamps and radiators, only half functions of the shower. 4, There was no soap or schampoo. 5 - the smell. Smell of history. I can't describe it anyhow better, but I find it very annoying. The administrator had also a smell. The smell of alcohol. I am happy I stayed one night in this place, but I would not come here 2nd time.

nothing it was perfect

The location is stupendous -in the medieval city, about 100 metres form one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world. We found parking in nearby Place les Freres Le Nains or I don't know what we would have done because most streets are 'blue zone' meaning you can only park for 1 1/2 hrs. The host answered the door at 3pm which was kind as we had forgotten we were not meant to arrive before 5pm. Its an old property with some very modern fittings- the kitchenette and breakfast bar have been particularly well done.

A shower and toilet has been installed in one corner of the room in an enclosure that does not reach up to the ceiling and which has no door. It faces onto the kitchenette and indeed the breakfast bar! This would not be allowed in most countries but we have encountered a doorless toilet before in France. A curtain would have been a help

To make it a 5/5: I would have liked a curtain or some type of closure to the bathroom for more intimacy. For anyone who needs total darkness to sleep, it would be good to have something to fill in the 20 centimeter gap on the bottom of the windows that the inside Venetian blinds did not cover.

Location is perfect. The property is very close to the Cathedral. Although it wasn't easy to reach it out from the railway station (but it's related to whole city center, not the property itself). The host is friendly and speaks quite well English.

Extremely old, needs repair, has almost emergency condition, very cold, quite dirty and dusty. Full of by unnecessary things meanwhile has no such necessary items like soap or shower gel. We were scared to sleep in the bed since there is an enormously heavy painting hung just above the headboard. The room itself has no lock, so no way to lock the room while going out. We usually like such an authentic places for stay, but being ancient doesn't mean being unusable for living and absolute absence of comfort and even safety.
