Beautiful private beach access to watch the sunsets. A little bit of a walk to beaches that you can swim in - but it was so lovely to start and end each day with a walk in the sand. Great little breakfast every morning, and cool beers in the fridge. This hotel makes you instantly unwind. We preferred this compared to closer to the main area of Tamarindo.

The people are fabulous, the rooms are comfy and they serve a great breakfast.

Beautiful gardens and right on the beach. Easy access to Tamarindo although helpful to have a vehicle as it is about a one mile from town and there is no food offered past breakfast. The staff are lovely. Very much a bed and breakfast.

What a hidden gem. A lovely place with natural style and garden-like. It is in a quieter part of Tamarindo with less traffic. It sits right on the beach. You walk out of your room, of which there are only 7, you walk 20 steps to the comfortable lounge chairs right on the sand under some trees and watch the waves. The beach is rocky but beautiful. It is like having your own house on the beach but with people taking care of you. The breakfasts are delicious. The staff are very friendly.

The staff was helpful, kind and very welcoming.
The location was far enough away from the hussle of Tamarindo, while still accessible on foot.
The rooms are charming, comfortable beds, with outdoor showers, hand-painted ceramic sinks.
Beachfront with a lovely little garden.
There is an honour bar system with a stocked fridge, in which you can access water, beer etc.
However, there is not a full bar/ restaurant that is open all day. A beautiful breakfast is served, but then if you're looking for a snack / sunset cocktail, you have to go searching further afield.

we loved the setting of this hotel it’s right on the beach but a little out of town so you really feel like you’re in paradise. we loved the attention to detail in the rooms, it seems like they’ve thought of everything, beach towels and hammocks if you need one. honesty bar so you can help yourself, snorkels and fins to borrow if you want. and iguanas everywhere! and the staff are so attentive nothing is too much trouble for them. we are vegan and they catered to us without hesitation. would highly recommend this place it was one of our favourites from our Costa Rica road trip.

One of a kind hotel in the town! Probably the coziest place we stayed at. Very clean, quiet and peaceful. This small hotel and the ocean view is the reason I would possibly visit Costa Rica again!

We loved the location. it was exactly what we wanted away from the hustle of Tamarindo.
The staff are amazing, sunsets incredible and breakfast needs to be experienced.
There is no bar or restaurant on site.
The beach is not safe to swim in.

We travelled to Tamarindo for our honeymoon and stayed at Sueno del Mar. The location was great- you can walk along the beach into Tamarindo at low tide, or easily get an uber into the town at high tide. The room was spacious and had an outside area and an outdoor shower. The breakfasts in the morning were amazing, served in view of the roaring pacific. It was also an amazing place to sit down and watch the sunset, or to walk straight out and be on the beach.

Lovely facilities! We loved the beach area with lots of trees and places to relax (hammocks, beds, chairs). The staff is super friendly and one feels at home. Breakfast is delicious!! We loved the outdoor shower of our Luna room.
The bed was extremely high, the highest I have ever seen! It is really very difficult to climb on and off it!

gorgeous traditional building in great location on a beautiful quiet part of the beach super breakfasts in the garden and lovely shaded pool and grounds
ten minute walk into Tamarindo - the upside is of course it is peaceful and private but it was too hot to do during the day and reluctant to walk it at night as we didnt know how safe it was - in future I would get taxis or hire a golf cart

Loved the beach area in front of the hotel with shade/sun, loungers, hammocks and swings. Our room was also nice. Loved the outdoor shower.
The beach out front of the hotel is not really swimmable - too much reef/rocks.

Great location little bit outside the busy and loud center of Tamarindo. Very quiet, private and beautiful, would have loved to stay longer. Breakfast was excellent, too.

I loved the cozy Spanish design. Outdoor shower was a treat. Airflow was surprisingly cool with little need for AC. Breakfast was so plentiful and interesting. My husband is picky and he loved the fresh fruit, eggs and veggies on croissant with choice of hot sauces and French toast with syrup. We are coming back to stay longer.

Amazing breakfast. Really special. Amazing location on the beach. Great access to sunsets. I had a car, and I liked that it was a little distance to Tamarindo. I liked the little pool, and the chaise lounges in the shade on the beach. I was able to work from poolside, because WiFi was great. Staff helped me arrange for surfing lessons and dinner reservations.
Rooms were on the smaller side.
