we loved the setting of this hotel it’s right on the beach but a little out of town so you really feel like you’re in paradise. we loved the attention to detail in the rooms, it seems like they’ve thought of everything, beach towels and hammocks if you need one. honesty bar so you can help yourself, snorkels and fins to borrow if you want. and iguanas everywhere! and the staff are so attentive nothing is too much trouble for them. we are vegan and they catered to us without hesitation. would highly recommend this place it was one of our favourites from our Costa Rica road trip.

One of a kind hotel in the town! Probably the coziest place we stayed at. Very clean, quiet and peaceful. This small hotel and the ocean view is the reason I would possibly visit Costa Rica again!

The property is privately situated and beautifully designed. The room was really comfortable and the staff super nice.

We loved the location. it was exactly what we wanted away from the hustle of Tamarindo. The staff are amazing, sunsets incredible and breakfast needs to be experienced.

There is no bar or restaurant on site. The beach is not safe to swim in.

We travelled to Tamarindo for our honeymoon and stayed at Sueno del Mar. The location was great- you can walk along the beach into Tamarindo at low tide, or easily get an uber into the town at high tide. The room was spacious and had an outside area and an outdoor shower. The breakfasts in the morning were amazing, served in view of the roaring pacific. It was also an amazing place to sit down and watch the sunset, or to walk straight out and be on the beach.

Lovely facilities! We loved the beach area with lots of trees and places to relax (hammocks, beds, chairs). The staff is super friendly and one feels at home. Breakfast is delicious!! We loved the outdoor shower of our Luna room.

The bed was extremely high, the highest I have ever seen! It is really very difficult to climb on and off it!

ten minute walk into Tamarindo - the upside is of course it is peaceful and private but it was too hot to do during the day and reluctant to walk it at night as we didnt know how safe it was - in future I would get taxis or hire a golf cart

Loved the beach area in front of the hotel with shade/sun, loungers, hammocks and swings. Our room was also nice. Loved the outdoor shower.

The beach out front of the hotel is not really swimmable - too much reef/rocks.

Great location little bit outside the busy and loud center of Tamarindo. Very quiet, private and beautiful, would have loved to stay longer. Breakfast was excellent, too.

Costly, but worth it

I loved the cozy Spanish design. Outdoor shower was a treat. Airflow was surprisingly cool with little need for AC. Breakfast was so plentiful and interesting. My husband is picky and he loved the fresh fruit, eggs and veggies on croissant with choice of hot sauces and French toast with syrup. We are coming back to stay longer.

It is a beautiful place, a labor of love by the owner with wonderful art and cozy spots to enjoy the scenery throughout the property.

Amazing breakfast. Really special. Amazing location on the beach. Great access to sunsets. I had a car, and I liked that it was a little distance to Tamarindo. I liked the little pool, and the chaise lounges in the shade on the beach. I was able to work from poolside, because WiFi was great. Staff helped me arrange for surfing lessons and dinner reservations.
