Massive apartment, could easily fit 8 pax. Well equipped kitchen. Location was lovely, at the outskirts of the town, around 8 minutes drive, so easy access to plenty groceries and restaurant options. Was lucky to catch northern lights here, places was dark enough for easy viewing.

Rooms were a little cold as only one small heater.

The cottage is tucked away from a town about 10 minutes away so you won't have problem finding food/petrol/groceries. You share the area with 2 other cottages. You will have everything you need to cook up a meal. Check in was easy. Cottage was clean. Light pollution was minimal so ideal for northern lights. The night sky put on a show that night.

The location was great, and the cottages had been designed to give maximum privacy. Very clean and well organized.

Internet was unstable. The host warned about it and we know it is not their fault.

The view and the environment of the place were wonderful. To overlook the lake, but also have the mountains rising behind us was magical. also, the cottage was very clean and nice, it felt cozy and at home.

Small bathroom and tiny sink; too little bedrooms

Location was wonderful and decor was very nice.

Internet didn’t work for our entire stay and smoke alarm went off any time someone took a shower.

There is a strange smell in the cabin. The shower curtains don’t contain the water and there’s a blooming mess in the bathroom.

The location was gorgeous. We made our own breakfast. We loved the decor; simply and lovely.

Both the cabin and the surroundings are beautiful. It overlooks a stunning still water with views to nearby mountains, fields with horses and the nearby town of Borgarnes. It is nestled near the foothills of stunning mountains as well. Many cabins in Iceland feel soulless and are stocked only with plain ikea products - but this cabin has character! It is both beautiful and colourful and feels very homey. The location is very convenient in West Iceland, we stayed here while returning from Akureyri and used the opportunity to visit the nearby Hraunfossar, Bifrost and the goat farm. The married couple who run the cabin live nearby and were wonderfully friendly and helpful, making us feel extra welcome. The facilities are very good, and we made use of the barbecue grill to cook a dinner. You’re a 10 minute drive from the shops and restaurants in Borgarnes, but still out in nature - making it a very good combo. Highly recommend staying here!

The view around the property was very good. Host was very responsive. We had issue with WiFi and internet connectivity. Host came over to fix it. Cottage was clean and comfortable.

Everything about the stay was good. Nothing to complain about.

It was very cosy and exactly what we had hoped for for a night in this stunning setting!

The cottage was really clean but unfortunately the toilet brush was really dirty from previous guests when we wanted to use it, really not a nice feeling to have to clean after another person’s business : /
