Location and view was amazing!

Connecting with host for keys to the apartment

The apartment was spacey and situated very close to the wonderful beach. Unfortunately this is the only "pro" I can think of.

1. I was electrocuted by an iron. The iron available in the apartment looks like a disaster. Its wire was fixed too many times already... and yet it had one small tear in its insulation, which led to an electric shock. I took some pictures with my cellphone.  2. The place is dirty and crudled. Upstairs - inside a shower - a shelf for soap and other stuff is so filthy that it probably wasn't cleaned since 1969. 3. Another issue with the shower: sewer gases are escaping into the bathroom.... and also into the bedroom. It smells horrible... sleeping upstairs was a disaster... 4. Kitchen is the entire new chapter of problems: - a dishwasher is not working - a toaster is so filthy that a person who provides such things to her guests should be really ashamed. If I would dare to switch it on, the entire thing would go up in flames. It would be much better to not offer such amenities at all for guests than offering something so dirty. 5. Mess in the drawers.

The apartment is situated in the od own, everything is near. The buliding itself is beautiful, it is furnished very pretty. It has a special atmosphere. The beach is also just a few mintes walk and the view from the balcony is amazing. You can even see the sea when sitting in the living room, from the large windows of the apartment.

The location is literally fabulous, the apartment is in a beautiful historical building right in the old town yet the interiors seem all brand new in a stunning traditional marine palais type decor. The balcony is large enough to eat on and the view is simply breathtaking. You are up on the Tropea rock facing the ocean with the beautiful beach right beneath. You also see the yacht port and the Tropea island monastery The apartment is large with two bedrooms each with en suite bathrooms. The constant sea breeze and the tropical ceiling fans give a very pleasant ambiance. There is also an additional toilet and washroom. The kitchen is lovely and functional and the living & dining room has views on the sea. The TV and internet work very well. Essentially you almost don't need to go out to be on holiday. You also don't need a car. You are very close to many restaurants in the heart of the old town and the steps to the beach are close by.

To get the keys we followed the address of the office at Via Libertà 108 as specified, but when we got there we did not know which bell to ring and finally found it was CalabriaGo. The apartment address of Largo Gesuiti was missing the house number, and later we found it's Largo Gesuiti 1. That said the hosts were very nice and helpful. They escorted us and attended to our needs.
