We had a lovely stay and Susana was so attentive to our needs. The setting is gorgeous and the pool was super. The meals were delicious and servings generous. The breakfast was excellent.

I cannot rate this stay highly enough. Susanna and Sophia made this stay memorable. We arrived in rain and it was cold. They welcomed us with a big smile. The room was warm and very modern. The dinner was 5 star in a warm comfortable atmosphere next to a log fire. We had golden bream which was delicious followed by chocolate mousse which was special. The wine was a very reasonably priced and Susanna's homemade brandy was amazing. The breakfast was one of the best ever and could not be faulted. The perfect hostess representing a long-standing family Quinta.

Everything was truly amazing. We were in a lot of places already and consider this one of the best. Susana was super nice and every request was fulfilled (e.g. some veggie food). The restaurant of the place is exclusive and very nice (an old lady, family, cooks).

Incredible staff, wonderful hotel and beautiful grounds. A super delicious breakfast and food options offered all day which are amazing. Can't wait to go back.

We came after reading the good reviews, but were nit prepared for the warm welcome and the amazing views that waited for us. The whole place is amazing, with hand crafted furniture and home cooked food. We were very sorry to leave.

A spetacular family business managed and operated by women. The service is super professional and also warm and caring. The restaurant with the most typical menus of the region and local products is superb and a must.

A slice of true paradise. Nestled in the hills above Braga, Quinta de Barbedo is perfectly situated for both relaxing as well as exploring the local area. We loved the warmth and hospitality from Susana and her family, the amazing authentic and local food, affordable and delicious local wine, swimming pool and evening drinks on the terrace surrounded by the sounds of nature.

The only tiny tiny gripe would be the fact that the property is by a road that can be busy during the day, but this is a tiny point and you will feel part of nature when sitting by the pool or on the terrace.

The pristine location, fantastic swimming pool and charming garden with the relaxing sound of the water springs. Superb breakfast and the restaurant meals were absolutely delicious. The sympathy of the host.

Everything! Beautiful, quiet location close to the National Park. Superb hospitality from the skilled and affable family members that run it. Fabulous breakfast and delicious traditional dinner choices. A five star resort at a fraction of the cost!

The windy road in and out made me car sick, but it was worth it!

The accommodations were tastefully renovated and the beds extremely comfortable. the grounds are beautiful with orange trees in abundance and very fragrant flowers. the breakfast was very nice. they have a restaurant for guests where we enjoyed a traditional dinner. best of all was Susana who made us feel welcome and who was very helpful and attentive.
