Bliss of solitude, the pool overlooking the sea, relaxing breakfast setting, friendly host who gave me a lift to Jelsa when my taxi didn't show up.

Everything was amazing! The restaurant is excellent, the staff very friendly and the place is very beautiful. If you are looking to relax and enjoy nature this is the right choice. We had a great time!

Absolutely beautiful hotel, staff are exceptional and the pool is amazing, often very quiet or even have it to yourself which is really nice. The beach has so many coves and clear water and is a two minute walk. I liked the remoteness of the area, we hired a car, which I would recommend for the island, and also I would advise booking the car in advance as there seems to be short supply, especially if you need a child car seat as not all car hire places have them. Get a sea view apartment with a balcony facing the sea, the room we got was lower down and had hardly any views. I would stay here again 100% (maybe without a small child so I can enjoy those views in peace and not worry about a toddler) and also I would get a room with a better view.

Only comment is that whilst a kettle is supplied in the room, no tea or coffee is supplied. We had a 1yo with us so were often awake once she awoke at 5.30am before breakfast or room service so as new parents coffee is essential. The staff service is very attentive so if I remembered to ask I am sure they would have brought some. Also, we were there for 5 days and our room wasn't cleaned once, I'm not sure if this is part of the design for 'studio apartments' as they are more self catering, but I was a little surprised that they weren't cleaned at least once in that time, at least to empty bins etc. (Baby nappies in there!) We left the bin bag out the front and it was collected a day or so afterwards. But as we had no spare bin bags we had to use our old shopping bags.

Staying at Villa Stella Mare felt like visiting a good friend's house. The hosts were exceptionally friendly. Every morning the breakfast was delicious. They have a private restaurant with tables reserved only for their guests. They offer fresh seafood from their catch of the day, which was expertly prepared in a wood grill.

The hosts were so welcoming, went out of their way to help us; you can't get such kind service in big hotels, even in very expensive ones. Enjoyed nice fresh fish at the restaurant. The area was peaceful with beautiful beaches; stayed up one night to see the sun rise and I don't think I ever saw so many stars in one sky. My stay here was my favourite part of my travels this summer - my friend and I agreed we must come back in the future! thank you very much

The owner went the extra mile to make us feel confortable and at home at all times. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Amazing views from the pool and location just perfect if you want to get some rest and enjoy good food.

The Villa Stella Mare is an absolute hidden gem. We felt as though we were at a private villa. The service was incredible and the entire staff was so friendly and willing to accommodate our requests. The food is fresh and delicious and we were incredibly grateful for their willingness to work with food allergies. We throughly enjoyed relaxing by the sparkling pool.

This is such a special place. The resort itself is stylishly done, with a beautiful terrace and stunning pool. The apartments are lovely, simple but really nice. But what makes it outstanding is the welcome; you’re treated like guests of the family, and it was somewhere I didn’t want to leave. The home cooked food was amazing (and so much of it!) and there was lots of advice on places to visit (including Teo organising a wine tasting trip which was a lot of fun). We’ve already told friends they have to visit.

Facilities are great but what really separates this place from most others is the service and the food. We felt extremely welcome and they treat their guests as family.

Our stay at villa Stella mare was incredible, The staff, and particularly owner were extremely friendly and welcoming, the food was brilliant, The nearby beaches beautiful and very quiet, as were the local restaurants, I would highly recommend for anybody looking for a very relaxing and beautiful island break - 100% would book again. The location is absolut worth to stay here! The building, design of the place was great and feels so good to stay here.

Wow, that was one of the best quest experiences we have ever had as travelers. The warmth and hospitality of Teo and his family are unbelievable! Delight the guests the best possible way - this is Teo and you'll it see happy faces, great facilities with a lot of style and taste, amazing food prepared by a special chef - also amazing fine dining at a very reasonable price. The nearby beach and the infinity pool - gorgeous, no chloride, everything clean and ecological to perfection. And it is the warmth and the special atmosphere that Teo is thriving to create with each guest that makes this place so uniquely special! And always saying - no worries, just be happy here! Teo helped us with the driving three times at his own expense and all the time you feel as you are a special guest in his home. Amazing, outstanding hospitality and highest possible class service. Thank you so much, we'll definitely come back!

This is quite possibly the loveliest place I have ever stayed -- location, facilities, meals and the charming hosts were simply superb.

Small and family staff We made our holiday amazing, from the level of room upgrades, through the excellent cocktails and the rich breakfast. Really beautiful hotel, crazy views and amazing pool.
