Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice 2bdrm unit, clean, convenient to skiing. Two major complaints: the internet was useless, parking for a 2nd car is a huge issue! On both these items, don't plan on either because they are essentially unavailable. We used our cellphones as hotspots for internet access, and we were able to park our 2nd car in a friends driveway. I can't say that there was false advertising, as the contract warns you about both issues. There is a mention that some outside parking is available, but with the heavy snowfall it was not plowed. There is some Mammoth Village public parking, but I believe there is an overnight charge. The agent at the checkin desk was zero help regarding the parking challenge. Other than that, we enjoyed the convenience of the location. Also, the AAA batteries on the gas fireplace were practically dead. Also bring your own bath soap. The tiny bars provided are worthless.

The place was nice and the location was amazing. The unit itself needs some updating. The pillows were terrible and we were missing bedding for the pull out couch but the management company brought them over quickly once we reached out.

It made the room a bit toasty. We had to open the back door to get air flow but it did not have a screen so bugs entered the room at night. It seems like it was designed with winter in mind not summer.

This is a very cozy and comfortable condo. It could use a few updates, such as a functioning humidifier, reliable and fast wifi, new coffee maker, etc., but these are quibbles. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this unit. We loved being able to walk out the door, put on our skis and ski down to the lift line.

The location is great with a short walk to Trolly. Great parking. The bad: No A/C. It was miserable trying to sleep. Unit would not cool down even with all the windows open and fan on. (Two fans may have helped). First fan was broken when we arrived. The pool was not open when we arrived. Once open it was dirty and green. Pool attendant cleaned the pool so we could swim but still greenish cloudy water. Disappointing!

We traveled for the first time during Covid. Not quite sure what to expect. This unit was perfect. This is ski in/out. Everyone wore masks. Easy to have lunch back in the room. So we were very comfortable. Great weekend get away. Much needed. Definitely coming back!

Got this room for my friends and they said it was a wonderful place and was larger than it was in the photos. Would definitely recommend

Service was lacking a bit with the Covid 19 but understandable. We were told the Jacuzzi was going to be open but did not because of mechanical problems. We did not have cleaning material to do the dishes and called to request some but I was only able to leave a message. No cleaning Sponge for the sink and only 1 roll of paper towels for 3 days doesn't cut it. I would still recommend Sunstone to my friends.

The problem lies with the property management company. 1) We heard the unit was hot and they agreed to buy two fans for the unit, prior to our arrival. Confirmed that they bought them but upon arrival there was one fan that only had one blade. One blade was missing, three blades were broken and ineffective. Took the fan to the management office the next morning to inquire about the two new fans and was told they would "look into it". Was given a small desk fan from someones cubicle that was splashed and dirty with coffee. Never heard from the management office that day. Called and left a message at the management office the second morning, never heard back from them. Never got the fans that they supposedly purchased for the unit. Never got a return call.2) Asked for a second parking permit, well before our arrival, as we needed two cars. We were told in the summer parking is plentiful and we did not need a second garage pass. Upon arrival, it was not clear where we could park our second car as the spots above appeared to belong to a different complex. Called management office and was told we could park without issues in the small circular drive at the front of the building. The next morning we had a "warning" posted that if the car was not moved it would be towed. Took the notice to the management office and got a second garage pass, no problem. We should have been given a second pass from the beginning as I am sure they are fully aware of the parking limitations. The management company was terrible. The unit and property are beautiful. Location great. We would stay here again, but would not rely on management company for any assistance or service.

Good experience. However I would recommend better lighting in all bedrooms. Higher wattage bulbs would help. If you are providing soap larger bars are needed. The ones provided were minuscule. Ventilation was poor but that’s the way the condo was built so if you are thinking of renting this unit be aware it gets hot in the summer. No a/c

The property was very nice. However, Mammoth Sierra Reservations left a bad impression with us. We never got the check in documents until we showed up at their office. Fresh towels were a problem and there were no sheets and pillow cases for the pull out sofa

It was so hot as a matter of fact that it was difficult to sleep. I slept without sheets and was sweating. The sun rises so early in the morning that all of the windows and blinds were open so you cannot sleep in as the sun comes blaring into the room. The ventilation is not great. Even when the door to the unit was open air flow was poor. The units were utilitarian and clean which I expected, but very uncomfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were supposed to stay in Yosemite for the week but Yosemite park was closed because of fire. Our plan B was to stay in Mammoth. The facility is very clean and well maintained but had no central cooling system in the rooms. For winter this is not an issue but if you stay in summer the rooms can get pretty warm. They provide fans but depending on the temp outside it might not be enough. The hallways have central cooling and we saw a lot of rooms with their doors open with fans at the door trying to get some cool air from the hallway. I read some reviews before our stay so I brought fans from home to help keep us cool. The rooms that face east have a better view but the rooms that face west get a breeze and seemed to be a little cooler. Overall the place was nice, clean, and well maintained. The warm rooms were not a deal breaker for us and we would stay here again.

It was a little pricey when compared to other places we rent in areas like Park City and Breckinridge. It's Mammoth though and I've always struggled to find a clean and modern place here. Sunstone building is clean and well maintained, and you can't beat the ski in and out access to Eagle Lodge lift area. One suggestion (like many hotels) use some drano on the bath tubs and sinks.

The location was great in summer months with a 10 minute drive to most of the lakes and walking distance to a ski run. The home was very comfortable for a family 4 and just 5 minutes to local grocery store to cook our meals. Only thing I wish we had was an air conditioner and could use another fan at least. French door opens but no screen to keep bugs out. That would not keep me from coming back to a great location!

The beds were very comfortable and I loved that the bed linens and towels were hotel quality. I didn't really like the idea of using a family's personal sheets, etc. But these were clearly laundered and treated like hotel linens. The beds were perfect and both bedrooms were large in size with floor space and ample storage. The location is perfect, very quiet and nice views from the property. It does not have A/C which is common in the mountains so it was not as cool as I would normally like it to be but with open windows and ceiling fans, it was fine. We will most definitely stay here again.
