We enjoyed a very happy 3 week stay at this lovely property. It was so relaxing and had all amenities. We also enjoyed visits to Cordoba and Granada, Malaga and Antequera and the surrounding coastal spots. Our vacation was in August and so HOT, but I can honestly say that the house never felt hot and we enjoyed the pool whilst benefitting from the terrace which was always cool. This was so important for us with a tiny baby grand daughter as part of our holiday group. A car is a necessity in this part of Andalucia if you want to get out and about. The owners provided us with a lot of information about local places to visit and local supermarkets and restaurants. All in all, I don't know where the time went? We had a lot of fun as a family group in a lovely home which accommodated us all. A holiday we will always remember!

We spent 10 days of a wonderful vacation in this large villa in September-October 2017. We were four adults and two children. The villa can take another couple. We used only the top floor three bedrooms and bathrooms. The pool, barbecue, pool table, computer games, kitchen, washing machine were used and made our vacation very enjoyable. We only suffered from an ants problem in the kitchen. The location of the villa made it easy for visiting Seville, Ronda, Antequera, Malaga, Cordoba, Granada and Marbella, each in about an hour drive.

This villa is very well maintained. It is clean and comfortable with everything you may need for a relaxing break. There is a large well equipped kitchen and plenty of fridge space. The pool is well maintained and does not contain a lot of chemicals. There is a wide variety of games and a pool table. The internet connection was excellent. The satellite tv was not available during our stay. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. There are a few different seating areas outside and plenty of loungers round the pool. The water went off at one point for a few hours but this wasnt that inconvenient. You will definitely need a car, it is a 20-25 minute walk into the village although this is quite strenuous for older people. There are a number of bars and restaurants but most places dont serve food until 8-30/9. We also drove into Trebuco a few times which has a bigger selection of places to eat and is only a five minute drive. We also drove to Antequera a few times and went to the supermarket there and ate at the bull ring and a couple of other very good places. The villa is well placed to visit Granada, Seville and we visited Cordoba which was about 1h 20 minutes away and well worth it. We also visited the flamingoes but there was not much water and they were quite a way away. We were well looked after at the villa and I would definitely recommend it if you want peace and quiet.

We stayed as a family group with two toddlers. Alyson couldn't be more helpful in making sure we were well accommodated, from cots being up and highchairs out, to helping sort out plans for a special birthday while we were there. The house, pool and garden are lovely, offering spacious and comfortable accomodation throughout. The local area was delightful. Just a short drive to a couple of different towns, brimming with choice for fab restaurants. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place for our holiday. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 young children and we all enjoyed our stay. The house is very well equipped and the location was fantastic.

A well maintained property. Very clean. We were a party of 8 and had plenty of room. Had a little trouble with washing machine since there are no directions in English. You will have to drive if you want to visit the major cities of Andalusia. Granada is an hour away. Sevilla is a little over 2 hours and Córdoba an hour and a half. That said the roads are good and the property is close to main highway but far enough away for peace and quiet. Owner had a lot of good information about the area. Caretaker met us at the house with the keys. Would recommend this property to a friend.

I really enjoyed my stay in Los Pelaes. The house is beautiful, it looks and feels completely authentic to its surroundings. It was easy to reach by car and was very well equipped. There are plenty of good spots to watch the sun set over a G&T! I went to a couple of the surrounding villages, it was easy to find what I needed in the local shops, and even got to meet some of the locals in the bar. Day excursions to Granada, Cordoba and the beach are also easy journeys to make from here. Thank you for a wonderful stay - I would come back again!

This villa is large and beautiful. 5 bedrooms, pool, table tennis, pool table, wifi, garage. Really good. There is a downstairs bedroom in case needed and air con throughout. The local town is OK but worth driving 20 minutes further afield. Some really great sites and sights. Only downside is a couple of windy days with wind tearing up the valley but nothing that detracted from the place at all. Would definitely recommend.

We had a magical week at Cortijo Los Pelaez with our Family. We were greeted by the housekeeper and her husband who effectively provided us all with a conducted tour. The house is very well equipped and the furnishings are wonderful. We were quickly able to relax around the beautiful swimming pool and take in the most spectacular views . Over the coming days we became very proficient at using the table tennis and pool table facilities. As a tennis fan we were able to watch the tennis grand slam at Roland Garros. Do make use of the excellent outside BBQ facilities. We had four grandchildren with us aged from 7 years old down to 3 months. It was heaven for them and there was absolutely no need to go in search of beaches and sandcastles as everything was here at the Villa. The nearby Village is pretty and well worth a visit. A small supermarket sells everything that is required but larger supermarkets within 30 mins drive provide a wider range for the "big shop". This Villa "touched the spot" with all 12 of us and with wall to wall sunshine we had an absolutely wonderful week. Thank you Alyson and Ian.

We stayed for a week and had a great time. We were 4 adults and two children. The house was very nice and we specialy enjoyed the pool and the pool table. Big spaces both indoors and outdoors. We stayed the first week of May. Our only bump in the road was that the weather was a bit up and down. You need a car to stay here. I would go back but maybe a week or two later or so. So you could relax more at the pool. Everything from booking to stay was very easy.

The villa more than lived up to the description on the website and the facilities were excellent. We all enjoyed the outside eating area and the pool and the kids used the pool table and table tennis extensively. The villa spotless and when the wifi went down it was reset very quickly (and was fast compared to wifi we have experienced elsewhere) We would certainly recommend it to others and if we come back to Malaga would have no hesitation in booking it again.

Los Paleas is a fabulous house, with all the amenities you need for a relaxing holiday set in a lovely garden in a great area. The drive from Malaga airport was easy and took about 40 minutes . The house was spotlessly clean on our arrival and the villa managers were there to greet us as arranged. We were 2 families holidaying together and the house had more than enough space for essentially 7 adults and one child - we could even have fitted in another family with younger children and not felt squashed. We had 3 teenagers in our party and they were kept entertained with the pool, table tennis, pool table and the playstation. The Wifi also got a thumbs up. The area has lots to offer, the local village meets all day to day needs, we did just one supermarket shop at the start of the holiday and then topped up locally - the local baker and butcher were both really helpful and put up with our rubbish Spanish. Local bars, restaurants and pizzeria were all very good and cheap compared with british prices - we rarely spent more than £10 per head including wine, and could walk home after a few glasses of the local red. The villa is not on the tourist route so you feel that you are seeing the real Spain. Highlights of our stay included swimming in the turquoise lakes at Ardales, karting at Campillos and watching the Vuelta as it passed through Malaga. We also went to Gibraltar but didn't enjoy it - too much like Blackpool with sunshine, Tarifa, which was lovely and unspoilt and Jerez -the equestrian show was fab if you like horses. The coast is about 30 minutes away in Malaga but we preferred our own pool with magnificent mountain views to fighting a space on the beach. The owners were very helpful during the booking process and the house has the feel of a family home. We had a fabulous 2 weeks and would love stay again as there is much more to explore in the area. I would highly recommend this house for your holiday and thanks to Alyson and her family for sharing it with us.

We were 2 families. Holidaying together 8 in total with teenagers to entertain. The house is lovely, spacious and cool. Air con in all the bedrooms was a great bonus as the local dogs and insects make sleeping with the windows open uncomfortable. The house had everything you need but we ate out a lot locally as the restaurants are good, cheap and you can walk home after a few glasses of local red. The area is easy to access from Malaga airport and there is loads to do. We only made it to the coast on our last day - to Nerja which was pretty but still very British and the sea was freezing! The house is great for teenagers with the pool, pool table, table tennis and a play station for some down time. My daughter also greatly appreciated the WiFi which meant she could update her friends on the progress of her tan. I would really recommend this house if you enjoy space, privacy and a taste of the real Spain. We hope to book again soon

The facilities at the property were to a high standard, and as I expected. Everything was perfectly clean and tidy and felt like we were the first people to be there. The owner and manager made sure that we had everything we needed and any special requests were met happily. I would definitely return, and recommend others to stay at the property, the pool and the views were stunning. Hot days lead to lovely late evening barbecues, and much relaxing around the pool.

The house was beautiful and had the perfect amount of space for our family and our friends family. We had 9 total people. We picked the property based on reviews and they were all correct and true. The villa is located near the small town of Villanueva del Rossario, which is small, but we ate lunch at a local restaurant and it was delicious. Alyson's help in planning our arrival, and knowledge of the area was such a huge help! The villa is located in such a central location. We did a lot of driving but saw the entire south west and east of the country. Beautiful!!

Even before we arrived Alyson ensured we were ready, with detailed instructions on how the villa worked and how to get there. Patsy met us at the villa, and showed us round. We thought we had hired a mansion it was so spacious and well decorated. All the rooms had air con, (which we needed): and worked really well. The pool was great and spacious, and kept very clean. The Laundry was great as were the numerous bathrooms. Our 3yr old grandson came with us, and he really enjoyed it, and we felt very safe for him. If we return to this area of Spain we would definitely want to stay here again. We cannot praise Alyson enough, as she helped us with car hire, ( we went with Malagacar and with the 15% discount as Los Pelaez users; we had a trouble free hire period), and her instructions were comprehensive. We would recommend this villa to all our friends and relatives.

We had a fantastic holiday at the villa. Everything we needed was there! It was about 30 minutes drive from Malaga. When we arrived there was a welcome basket ready for us. We felt at home immediately. The beds were very nice and in the showers were enough towels. For our daughter (21 months) were enough toys so we did not hear her the whole week. The villa is situated near a small town (quiet) but we liked that very much. When we arrived it was very windy, but the temperature was fine. Especially the last days we really enjoyed the pool. We visited Malaga, Cordoba and Granada. Very Nice! We really recommend the villa to everyone who wants to stay at a nice villa who has it all.

We are movie aficionados so it worked well for us. Dear Alyson Everything at Los Paleaz enabled our group to make the most of our vacation in the peaceful Andalucian countryside, away from it all but so close to the historical sights at Granada, Cordoba, Antequera and Malaga. The layout of the house is very spacious and comfortable, and we very much appreciated your efforts to re-allocate the bedding arrangements to suit our needs. All the 8 teenagers were extremely happy with the way they were sorted out in their rooms. The living area is truly conducive for interaction, whilst at the same time never making us feel on top of each other. Having breakfast out on the terrace was a bonus as we could take in the beautiful scenery around us. We took quite some time to identify a house for our vacation, especially as we wanted one which is spacious for 3 families and also not too far from the motorway. Location was excellent being so close to the motorway, but yet clearly feeling that we were in the midst of the countryside. We found your Guide useful, and took the opportunity to eat at both Villanueva del Rosario (Los Melizos and Hostal El Cerezo) and Villanueva del Trabuco (Venta Talilas). Thanks also for your tip about going to the Mercadona supermarket in Archidona .. more than enough for our mainly breakfast needs as we tended to eat out most often making use of the excellent cuisine away from the coast. Patsy was very helpful throughout, and we appreciated having an English speaking person we could communicate with. No problems at all, but it is always so much better to have everything clearly explained at the beginning of a holiday. We didn't use the pool very much (only I swam one afternoon), but coming from Malta, that was not something we were after ! However, the garden layout with the pool and landscaping was pretty and enjoyed by all of us. I was trying to think of aspects people in the group didn't like, simply to give you some feedback. But I honestly cannot recall any misgivings. Actually, the overall impression was that this was one of the top places we have had family holidays at since we tend to take holidays as 2 or 3 families together. Well done for the excellent standards maintained at the house. It was truly good value for money, and I sincerely hope to return again in the near future. We stayed in this gorgeous house in July with two other families. The house was perfectly set up to accommodate us all. A fabulous fully equipped kitchen and great communal areas both in and outside the house. The house has been very lovingly renovated to maintain the feel of rural spain with lots of mod cons. The mountain views from the villa were amazing and the local town charming. We loved the peacefulness and the fact we felt that despite only being a short drive from the airport we had found somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of the ususal Spanish resorts where we could experience real Spanish culture. Would definitely recommend and most definitely will return!
