Beautiful apartment in great location

We loved the views from this property. At night it was a magical sight. The location is great. Having visited and toured Lanarote before it was a change to enjoy town life. Appreciated all the restaurants that are so near. The apartment is spacious with a two large terraces to enjoy that view. Ana is a charming host.

This is a truly wonderful apartment, it's huge!! with sunshine all day long and wonderful views over the lagoon and out to sea. Ana has made sure there is everything you could possibly need for a holiday stay, she is caring and lovely and will do anything to make sure you are happy during your stay. There is so much choice for easting out just by stepping outside the apartment and at the lovely Marina just 5 minutes walk away. If you have a car the garage is so useful...and then explore the island, it's wonderful. This year we found Punta Mujeres, so different from the usual holiday spots that are very crowded, what a pretty place. All in all we have had a very memorable holiday, a big thank you to Ana, you really should be very proud of what you have achieved at Casa del Charco. Can't wait to return. Linda and Glen

The views from the apartment are outstanding! The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is situated centrally so amenities are nearby. The atmosphere around the lagoons tapas bars and restaurants is friendly. Ana is so helpful and quick to respond if needed.

This property has been described as fantastic in numerous reviews and we cannot disagree with any of them. The location is probably the best on the island, overlooking the lagoon and out of the wind. You couldn't be closer to the restaurants and tapas bars, the ones we used were excellent and very reasonably priced. Ana is a wonderful host and always on hand if need be. The use of the garage is a real plus even if you sometimes hold up the traffic getting in and out. Thoroughly recommend. John and Dorothy Glasgow

The apartment is lovely and exceeded my expectations , spotlessly clean , very comfy beds and a very well equipped kitchen with everything you need to self cater and everything was of a high quality. Excellent WiFi and English TV if you can tear yourself away from sitting on one of the two large front terraces enjoying the spectacular views or just people watching . Plenty of space for a family or group of friends. The apartment is in an area with lots of lovely restaurants that cater for all tastes from Tapas or Italian ( my favourite ) to an Indian , but if you want there is also a very well stocked supermarket just 2 mins walk away . There can be background noise at night from the restaurants as they stay open late but this didn't disturb a good nights sleep .This was my first visit to Lanzerote and I liked the area of Arrecife very much. Plenty of areas to explore, many shops and a lovely safe beach about a 10 min walk. You can catch a bus to the more well known tourist areas of Costa Teguise , Playa Blanca etc from the bus stops just past the beach and fares are very cheap.Ana the host is a lovely lady , very helpful and lives close by if needed and she very kindly gave me lift to the Airport for my journey home.Communication before and after booking was very good .I would definitely recommend this apartment and will look to return with friends and family.

We are a family of 4 (13 & 15 year olds) and had the best time.Arricife feels very authentic. Not many tourists but is a nice place to wander around and enjoy. The apartment is in a particularly nice part of Arrecife, with nice bars/restaurants around the charco (i.e. the bay you see in the photos). Other shops, including a supermarket are a [very] short walk away (check out the fish counter in the Hyper-Dino). The apartment it's self exceeded my expectations. All the practical stuff is there (and very nice) - fully equipped kitchen (including a coffee machine), nice bathrooms, washing machine, BBQ on one of the terraces, TV (not that we used it) and wifi (the kids used this a lot). But the best bit is that you are sitting in the popular (with locals) area, on a terrace, with sunshine and a glass of wine (check out the Lanzarote wines), soaking up the atmosphere. You can pop downstairs to eat, or cook/BBQ and eat on the front terrace.The views from the terraces are really as good as the pictures show, but the pictures can not define the atmosphere. Lanzarote is a really interesting place too. We hired a car (garage space included with the apartment) and enjoyed exploring the different beaches (there some really nice ones away from the 3 main tourist resorts - get the ferry across to La Graciousa and spend the day there) and other sites. Considering the island is so small, it has a lot to offer and to see beyond the beaches/food/wine. The lava fields are mad! Casar Manrique is a fascinating man and I will continue to learn about him. I really was surprised at how lovely "Lanzagrotty" is, but I don't think I would have discovered how wonderful without staying in this apartment. It really was the perfect base to gain an understanding of this wonderful island.The apartment felt like a home, rather than a holiday home (if you see what I mean). It was comfortable to be in, with everything you could need or want. Ana (the land lady) was lovely, without being intrusive... The only down side was that I kept on bumping into the glass table in the living room (and now have a big bruise), but I think that was more my fault really. :)I really can't say enough about this place... book it! But not on the dates when we want to go back! :)

Even before we arrived I knew we had made the right decision. As soon as we booked Ana sent a lovely note about the property and what to do in Arrecife. She was so welcoming when we arrived, we immediately felt at home. The property was perfect for us, spacious with fantastic people watching balconies off both the lounge and front bedroom. And the location was also perfect for visiting the many tapas bars and restaurants within very easy walking distance. I also took my bike so I could make the most of the excellent cycleways between Arrecife and PDC.

Ana was an excellent host - very helpful and friendly - and met us at the apartment both upon our arrival and departure. Casa de Charco was extremely well equipped and the location could not have been better. We are hoping to book the apartment again - either later this year or the same time next year

Lovely spacious,clean apartment and terrace overlooking marina. Excellent location and base for exploring with restaurants o doorstep. Ana the host was very welcoming and everything was made easy to deal with . Highly recommend. 😀�

Great position and roomy. Needed sun beds on top terrace but everything else was as required. It was quiet at night despite all the bars below. Having a garage was very convenient with our hire car.

The house is beautiful and complete with everything. Ana is a perfect and ready for every request. We recommend to all future guests to use the differentiated waste collectors on the island. Thanks Ana for everything....

A beautiful apartment in a great location with a wonderful view. Ana was the perfect host, warm and welcoming. She met us at the apartment to show us around, and dropped us off at the airport at the end of our stay. We had a lovely relaxing break ..... the local supermarket is a five minute walk away and the local restaurants particularly Divina Italia offer great value. A well deserved 10/10

Two of us stayed in this very spacious and comfortable apartment. It was bigger than we needed but it was worth it, it was beautifully presented. Ana was lovely and met us on arrival to show us around. The area is lively but never too noisy, it has a local feel with plenty of good restaurants, it's where everyone comes to walk, eat, drink and socialise and is close to the main shopping street and supermarket. It's great to just sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and soak up the atmosphere. The beach is about a 25 minute walk and never gets overcrowded. The marina is close with more restaurants and shops, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My family and I (2 adults and 2 children) have had a wounderful stay at the flat from Ana. The flat is located in Arrecife direct at the little pond (in Spain del Charco) where the natives has their fishing boat. Around the pond you will find several restaurants with national and international kitchen. So we have spent most of the evenings in the district. The flat is modern and comfortable. You will find three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one kitchen, a living room and THREE terraces on two floors. And the building it is quit. Okay, in the evening you will hear the natives in the restaurants but it isn't loud. And it is an perfect end of an day when you sit outside on the terrace and look on the pond, skyline, the ocean view and sunset. The city beach of Arrecife is approx. 1,5km (approx. 15 minutes by feet) far away but you can walk along the narrow streets. At beach we have seen mostly natives but also some tourist. It isn't typically tourist beach. Thanks a lot to Ana, our host. All works fine and promised.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful apartment - everything about it was quality, from the furniture & fittings to the views over El Charco from the living room and the upstairs bedroom. Ana was the perfect host, and everything was spotless when we arrived (Ana even invited us to help ourselves to her collection of liqueurs). The garage in the street below the apartment was a bonus which meant that we could lock up the car & explore Arrecife on foot. There are many excellent bars and restaurants within walking distance and, if tapas is your thing, then this is heaven! The WiFi in the apartment was excellent and the TV had a number of English channels. With 3 double bedrooms, this apartment would comfortably accommodate 6 people. This was one of our best holidays ever, and reinforced our love of Arrecife and Lanzarote ( and special thanks to Ana!)

We stayed in Casa del Charco for six weeks and had a fabulous time. If you are thinking of booking this house don’t hesitate - just do it, it’s beautiful and Ana is the perfect host.

I recently stayed in Ana's apartment with 2 friends for a week and can honestly say I have never had such a relaxing holiday. The position of the property is just fantastic and we spent a great deal of our time relaxing on one of the balconies and watching the world go by. The apartment is very well equipped and had everything we needed. All the bedrooms are a very good size and have plenty of storage space - important for 3 ladies! I was in the front bedroom and as this overlooked the restaurants and bars there was a bit of background noise until quite late however this did not stop me sleeping. We only cooked a meal once as there is such a good choice of excellent restaurants nearby. During the week we tried most of them and our particular favourite was Divine Italia which, conveniently. was just next door. They do a pizza with dates which was fantastic. As the apartment is so well located you can walk very easily to anywhere in the old town. There is also a road train and a little green bus (which is free) which will take you to the other side of the Arrecife Gran Hotel. We went there for the obligatory cocktail at sunset and were not disappointed. We took the bus to Costa Teguise one day and while the beaches were better it is very busy and commercialised and we much preferred our location. Certainly if you want a holiday in the sun in comfortable accommodation in a quieter location then this would suit you. We booked a transfer with Hoppa from the airport and they were excellent. Communication with Ana was very easy and it felt like meeting a friend when we arrived. I found the booking and paying process quite confusing - who was to be paid what and when - but when all that was resolved it was all very easy. I can certainly recommend this property.

Our stay at Charco De San Gines has been lovely. The apartment was spacious, well equipped & overall a home from home with the choice of 3 terraces to enjoy the fabulous weather & the annual festival of San Gines. Everything is very close to hand including a very well equipped supermarket & some delicious tapas restaurants, La Bulla & La Raspa to mention just two. Free buses run to & from the beach (except for Sunday's) if the walk in the heat is too much & a very informative tourist information office is on the promenade. Ana is also an excellent hostess who met us at the property, showed us around & was on hand for any queries we had during our stay, thank you Ana, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My partner and I have just returned from staying at this property and we had an amazing time. The apartment is in the best location close to all the restaurants and bars. The beach is a few minutes walk, great shops, lovely tapas food everywhere. The owner Ana was very helpful and very kindly dropped us back at the airport I would definitely go back again.

Recently enjoyed a month in the apartment and it has everything you need for a short or long stay. The two balconys at the front of the apartment have fantastic views over the Charco San Gines, as does the sitting room and one of the upstairs bedrooms. All the rooms are well furnished and spacious and the kitchen is very well equipped, the washing machine on the upper floor is very useful for longer stays. There is also a garage which is useful if you rent a car or bikes although the bus service is excellent and takes you to most parts of the island. You are spoilt for choice with the bars and restaurants around the Charco which are on your doorstep but it is not noisy. Ana is a fantastic host, very helpful and friendly and replies to any queries very quickly. We enjoyed the apartment so much we have already booked it for next year.

A very modern property which is immaculateky clean. Set in the very popular and stunning Charco de San Gines where you are certainly in the heart of the 'happening' place which is extremely popular with the locals. You will be able to choose from the restaurants around the small inlet, three of the most popular of which are below you. It is a busy pedestrianised area and is very safe for young children who happily play in the area below while the rest of the families enjoy sitting outside relaxing among the palm trees and enjoying a leisurely lunch or late evening meal. The times of eating are much later than in the UK and continue into the early hours. Mornings are blissfully quiet and sitting on the balcony enjoying a late breakfast was a complete joy. There are street markets three times a week nearby. A delightful tapas area near the church became our favourite haunt. Easy walking through to the pedestrianised Main Street where we would walk each morning to buy our delicious croissants. Supermarket is also there along with many independent shops. Walk through to the beach and promenade and enjoy the feeling of being a local. You can get by without speaking Spanish but a phrase book is very helpful and the shopkeepers are delighted if you try to have a go at conversation. Loads of places to visit- the island keeps you busy looking at all the wonderful scenery, museums, and historic buildings - in fact you will fall in love with Lanzarote just like we have. The added bonus is the lovely property and utterly charming, welcoming and helpful hosts.

The apartment is exactly as the photos show and it is in the best part of Arrecife. The apartment is large enough for three couples or a large family and the kitchen has plenty of cutlery, plates etc. so you can self-cater easily. We had no problems at all while staying there but it was easy to contact the owner if need be. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and the wifi worked well. There are some very nice bars and cafes within a minutes’ walk and it is cheaper to eat out in Arrecife compared to Puerto Del Carmen & Costa Teguise. The bars by the ‘El Charco de San Gines’ are always busy and open till the early hours on a weekend but never loud enough so you cannot sleep. Puerto Del Carmen and Costa Teguise are not far away and are easy to get to via bus and taxi. The supermarket is less than five minutes away and there are plenty of shops if you want some retail therapy. If you are not bothered about going to an Irish bar or eating English food, then Arrecife is a good alternative to Puerto Del Carmen and Costa Teguise and only ten minutes from the airport. All communications with the owner were quickly responded to and very helpful. She met us at the apartment on time and was very friendly.

My husband and myself have just spent 2 weeks in Casa del Charco on the beautiful San Gines. Everything was perfect a terrace that had sun all day with a lovely view.Comfortable lounge and very comfortable beds. The apartment is surrounded by good eating places and shops within a few minutes. We had a car for a week and found the garage very useful. The owners Ana and Juan were a joy to meet and helped us a lot.Many thanks Ana. Sue and Brian Hollis

We have just returned from a really enjoyable week at the Casa del Charco. Ana greeted us on arrival and was very welcoming and made sure we knew where everything was and how it worked. The home was lovely, on two floors with 3 terraces. We used two of these as they had beautiful views across the harbour and enjoyed breakfast and evening drinks absorbing the view. The other terrace has a barbecue, but due to the proximity of the bars, we didn’t need to use it. The bathrooms are spacious as are the bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe space. The kitchen is beautifully decorated with everything you need. The one bar La Bulla, which you overlook is just down the steps and sells good beer and food, it is always busy, but all around the harbour are excellent bars for food and drink and we visited quite a few during our stay. There really is a good choice of places to suit all tastes. The new harbour is also very good, just a short walk further and there are more bars and restaurants. We went to the Asiatico twice and had lovely meals if you like Chinese, Thai or Japanese they had a great selection and it is cooked in an open kitchen, so you can see it being cooked fresh. The supermarket and shops are a short walk away and the nearest beach is about 10 minutes’ walk. Everything we needed was in the apartment and it was beautifully clean on our arrival. I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment, and hope to return one day.

We had our family vacation in Casa del Charco from 03 to 13 September 2015 the house is well presented and very clean The view from the terraces are great, in fact we loved the view from the terrace and ate most of our meals there. The Location is ideal for restaurant food and is highly recommended there are shop and grocery within walking distance. But the best of all are the owners and the local people who are very friendly and welcoming ready to assist us. Thank you Ana and Juan! We hope to be back to lanzarote soonest .
