The owners & local managers could not be faulted. Lovely town of Tavira, 20 minute stroll into town, where you can find everything for chilled night our with local restaurants. We were there for 7 days, five of us and not one bad dish between us, plus lovely BBQ area with nearby supermarket, or 15 minute wander to food market, to eat in the outside area of the house. Would defiantly recommend this place.

My husband and I have just returned from a week in Tavira, the villa is beautiful, even nicer than the pictures show. We had everything we could possibly need, it really is a case of just getting some food from the supermarket (which is a five minute walk away) as everything else is provided, we were even left some beers, wine, ice, milk, tea and coffee for when we arrived. Tavira is a wonderful town, really friendly people and very reasonably priced, would highly recommend the bars and resturants by the side of the river and a boat trip to the Island, which is only €2.50 return, it is like being in paradise. I can't recommend this villa and Tavira highly enough

A delightful villa ideally situated for Tavira and the nearby supermarket. The villa is spacious and has everything you need and more, to ensure your holiday is hassle free. Emma had given us her contact number, which was appreciated as we incurred a delay and was waiting to greet us. Will definitely stay at this villa when visiting Tavira in the future.

The property was even better than the photos - spacious, well appointed with a lovely outside area. It was also a short walk from the centre of Tavira and next to a large shopping centre so it was easy to get supplies and wander into town without a car. Really enjoyed the stay and would recommend this property!

Fantastic villa, immaculate inside and out, with more than enough room for our family. The outdoor kitchen was brilliant and the kids were never out of the pool. The hosts provided lots of useful local information ahead of our stay and provided a local contact number which made it easy to get hold of them during our stay. (Not that we needed to.) The villa is within walking distance of a very well stocked supermarket and a 15min walk to the centre of Tavira, so we didn’t bother hiring a car and didn’t miss it at all.

We had a wonderful stay in this delightful villa in Tavira. It was spacious with all the amenities including a barbecue area not to mention the excellent pool . It was like staying in your own private resort. The villa is located in a residential area within a 5 min walk to a supermarket and 20 min to old town Tavira. A car is therefore not necessary, for further distances taxis are cheap and plentiful. The local property manager Emma needs a special mention . Extremely accomodating and very responsive to any queries

Lovely modern, spacious house. Small garden with plenty of outdoor seating and a little pool. Location is OK, somewhat overlooked by adjacent properties but not a problem. 15 min level walk to town. Excellent support from local agency and owners.

First time renting.. And wasn't let down

We had an amazing stay at this villa in Tavira. The property was spotless and had everything we could possibly need for the week. Paul was so kind and even left us a few essentials in the fridge as we had a late arrival- thank you so much! The outside area was beautiful and extremely well kept. The villa is even more stunning in person. We were blessed with great April weather and were able to enjoy the pool and the bbq. The property is also very child friendly. The villa is in a great location and we loved exploring the coast. The beaches nearby are also beautifully clean and were not crowded at this time of year. One of our best holidays. We will definitely try to return again!

What a great villa, sparkling clean, only 10 mins walk to centre of Tavira and 2 mins from Gran Plazza shopping mall. The pool was just amazing. This villa is recommended for anyone that wants to enjoy Tavira and Cabanis. Communication with Paul was so easy and Emma was very helpful. We will definately return.

We loved the property. It was just as described on VRBO site. Location was fabulous. Easy walk to downtown (on the flat and only 1.3 km) and nearby amenities. Having the mall just 5 mins away was fantastic. Owners provided a terrific list of things to do and restaurants to try. Even though somewhat off-season mid-Feb to Mid-March it still provided excellent points of interest and restaurants. Temperatures were in the low 20s. WOW did we luck out. Unfortunately, the neighbours dogs, directly behind and across and down the street, drove us crazy with their constant barking, sun-up until late in the evening. It made it difficult to sit out and enjoy the beautiful pool and garden area. Dogs are a fact of life however the dog Owners made no effort to control the behaviour and it's unlikely this will change. If we return to Portugal we would definitely look for accommodation in Tavira but likely at a different property and hope we don't experience this again.

The villa looked very good on line and it didn’t disappoint, has everything you could possibly need, situated 15 - 20 minute stroll into the centre of Tavira. Would definitely recommend it.

The unit is clean neighborhood quiet and a huge mall located a short walk away. Only downside was internet connection dropping and reconnecting constantly. The unit has everything you need a 25 minute quick walk to central tourist area.

The online photographs don’t really do this property justice, the main living area was much larger than we anticipated! The house was spotlessly clean and presented to a very high standard. TV has the 4 main British channels which was perfectly adequate for our needs. Kitchen was very well stocked with everything you will need for cooking although we took full advantage of the BBQ for evening meals, fab! My husband wishes to add that he was impressed that the knives were good quality and sharp, a pet hate when you stay somewhere and the knives won’t cut butter never mind veg.We enjoyed very comfortable nights sleep, the electric blinds block out any light or you can have them such that a little can get in to tell you another day of sun has arrived. Another major plus was the fab shower in the en-suite, powerful and good temperature control.The outside garden was perfect for all day sun, we could stay in the pool till around 5pm and frequently did. The outside dining table is great for lunches as it is in the shade of the house by that time so excellent for getting a short respite from the sun. The pool was clean and very well maintained, the pool man we met was a lovely friendly gentleman. We had a hire car and did some exploring but you could easily manage at this property without one. The supermarket across the road is huge and easily accessed. We walked into town several evenings and absolutely loved Tavira. We were not disappointed with any of the restaurants we tried, my only complaint was there are far too many to choose from. This was our first visit to Tavira and most definitely will not be our last. I’d highly recommend this property to anyone considering it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here due to high standard of the accomodation and the hospitality of the owner, quick communication on any queries we had and no issues at all, everything you need pretty much on your door or a small walk into town, loved Tavira as it's not yet too commercial and full of tourists, the restaurants were great, friendly and welcoming, even went to a couple recommended by the owner, we weren't disappointed, loved it so much tried to book right away for next year, but sadly already sold out on any dates we could go, already thinking of returning on 2021!

Excellent villa & look very much forward to a return visit.

This has to be the best villa we have stayed in, it was very important to us that the walk into the town was flat and this villa ticked all the boxes. It is decorated beautifully and kitted out with everything you could possibly need. The outside area has lots of sun bathing areas and equally plenty of shaded areas too, the supermarket is within the shopping centre minutes walk away. Nearest beach is also an easy walk 1.5 miles? on a side road which is not at all busy Just perfect.

We were met on arrival at the Villa which was a great welcome and something we have not had with other villas in the past. The whole villa was extremely well maintained and clean and tidy. The location is fantastic with a new shopping mall just across the road with a supermarket there too. Just a 10 minute walk to Tavira with lovely people, bars, restaurants etc... Paul & Julie have been great to deal with and very helpful with everything. We all went horse riding on the beach which was a wonderful experience and took a trip to see the dolphins from Olhao with Sabino Boat Tours which was also fab and very informative. We took trips on the short boat journey to Tavira Island and also over to Ayemonte in Spain All in all a wonderful time had by all Many Thanks

The villa was well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfortable. It had everything close by especially the supermarket. It was lovely walk into Tavira on the flat. Paul and`Julie had provided a comprehensive file with suggestions for restaurants/cafes/bars and places to visit. We ate out almost every night. Every meal was very good with local food and wine - and inexpensive! We had a car so we visited quite a few beaches all within a 20 minute drive. I would highly recommend this villa.

We really enjoyed our stay in Tavira. We wanted to be able to walk into town from our rental, which worked out very well. We were able to walk everywhere in Tavira itself. We only needed the car when we were seeing other towns. The rental is extremely clean, spacious, comfortable, and well stocked. The pool and pool area were great. Excellent communication. Thank you very much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the villa. Situated in a tree lined street, the house is really lovely with everything you could need. It's a bonus that the shopping centre is over the road with a taxi rank just outside it. The pool is perfect for a cooling dip and the various outside furniture is plentiful and comfortable. Although Paul and Julie couldn't be there to meet us at the house, the staff at the agency they use are helpful and charming. It is very clear that their guests are very important to Paul and Julie and they will do what they can to ensure everyone has a great holiday in their house. We loved it.

This was our second stay in Tavira but our first in this villa. We were there for our son’s wedding and so needed somewhere not only central, but also big enough to accommodate our family and to allow us to entertain various visiting guests. This villa was just perfect in every way! It is situated in a residential area just a 20 minute walk to the Roman Bridge and a mere 5 minute walk to the Gran Plaza and the Continente supermarket. It is also a 5 minute drive to the beautiful beach. The villa is immaculately clean and furnished to a very high standard, with a plentiful supply of high quality cutlery, crockery, glassware and anything else that could possibly be needed. (There is even the obligatory “kitchen drawer” with all sorts of things you might have forgotten!) Speaking of kitchens, there was already a supply of “stuff” like cling film, washing powder, dishwasher tablets etc and dry store goods (coffee, teas, sugar, oils & vinegars) that they just ask you to replenish as used - it was amazing! I have stayed in many villas over the last 30 years but never in one so well equipped. Pictures of the outside pool area do not do it justice, it was much more spacious and had more than enough room for our 7 residing family members plus a regular stream of visitors! It too, is very well equipped with a BBQ, outside kitchen area with sink, sun beds, side tables, large dining table, comfortable sofas, smaller bistro table & chairs and the prettiest poolside “glassware” I have ever seen! Paul & Julie had even, very thoughtfully, provided (& inflated) a lovely Unicorn floaty for our granddaughter!! Speaking of Paul and Julie, they are a pleasure to deal with! The whole process was simple, straight forward and while relaxed, was still efficient and professional. They are also thoughtful and generous, as we arrived to a fridge stocked with bread, biscuits, crisps, pâtés, juice, water, sangria and of course, the all important beers! There was probably more but I can’t remember. I would thoroughly recommend this property, it is everything it says and more and I can’t wait to go back!

Paul and Julie's villa is one of the best we have ever stayed at.The location was absolutely perfect with a nice 20 minute stroll into the town which was full of a variety of bars cafes and restaurants.There was obviously a great deal of thought gone into the villa to make sure guests enjoyed their stay.It is fully equipped and everything that you need is there.The beds are very comfortable and all four of us had a good nights sleep all week.The weather was hot during our week's stay and the air con was a godsend.Outside the pool was a good size.The garden furniture was unbelievable and even had a shaded spot if you wanted to get out of the sun.Paul and Julie were'nt there to greet us as they were away on a family matter,but Paul phoned us to make sure that we settled in o.k and told us more useful information about the villa.This was our first time in Tavira and will definitely be back again in the future and will be looking no further than Paul and Julie's villa to stay at.

We stayed at the villa for one week in August and had a super time. We would usually hire a car but didn't need to this time due to the proximity of the Villa to Tavira centre itself. The main shopping centre with the large Continente is just over the road so this was a bonus too. The villa is very spacious and extremely well equipped, Paul & Julie have thought of everything-it is truly a 'home from home'. The outside areas are extensive so if you need some shade or indeed a quiet moment, there was always somewhere to go. We found the air conditioning really useful during our stay. All interior areas are spacious and well equipped, you really can travel light should you require. The surrounding area is very quiet, no problems sleeping at night but maybe this was down to the beds being so comfy. It had been a pleasure to deal with Paul and Julie from start to finish, nothing seems to have been too much even when bombarding them with numerous questions at the start. They were on hand during our stay and popped round during the week to check all was ok...with Paul even throwing in an impromptu 'history of Tavira' for which we were really thankfull and found very interesting! The pool was a blessing and is plenty big enough for a swim and cool down, local beaches, especially Cabanas were lovely and it's easy enough to make your way round in a taxi should you need to at a reasonable cost. We love Tavira and the villa and would hope to return again one day.

Our best villa to date in terms of layout, quality and location. Just 30 mins walk from Tavira (€4 in a taxi) and 3 mins walk from the Gran Plaza with the Continente supermarket. The owners, Paul and Julie, are a lovely couple, very personable, professional and easy to deal with. Their villa is a lovely place to stay everything is quality - the furniture, security, wifi, TV set-up with good U.K. content, the pool and the outside space. We used all four good sized bedrooms with 6 people and never felt in each other's space. Our third visit to the lovely town of Tavira and this villa is the best location by far. The whole transaction around the holiday and during the holiday has been faultless and we hope that we will return to both Tavira and this villa in the future.

I went with family of all ages and we all just loved the villa. It's excellent - lovely decor, spacious, clean and well equipped. It's in a superb location near all amenities. Paul and Julie were an absolute pleasure to deal with from the outset - so kind and helpful and they went out of their way to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. They were always available as well if we had any queries. I cannot recommend Paul, Julie and the villa highly enough. Fantastic holiday and we were all very sad to leave. We hope to go back next year.

We came for six weeks and stayed five months. Paul & Julie the owners of the property are wonderful people,can't do enough to help you and make your stay special. They are the perfect hosts.The fact sheet for Tavira that they have compiled tells you everything you need to know, directions to local restaurants , places to visit and how to get to them. The Villa is on the edge of Town so everything is within a short walk ,Train Station, buses, water taxi, shopping centre , historic sites . Benamor Golf course only ten minutes drive and lots more courses to choose from in the area. The local Portuguese people are so friendly and very helpful and Spain only 20 minutes drive away for a different culture and Tapas. We have loved it out here can't think of any bad points.

We’ve stayed in a few different villas over the years, and this is definitely the best we have stayed in. Tavira is a beautiful place and the villa was even better than we hoped it would be. It was really clean and very spacious, the bedrooms are big with very comfortable king size beds. The location is perfect. It is just a 10 minute even stroll into town, 15 minutes away from a beautiful quiet beach and just a few minutes’ walk from the Gran Plaza shopping centre. Very handy for when we ran out of wine! The villa is so close to everything, yet the private pool and garden is very private and quiet, it is easy to forget you are so close to everything. It was so peaceful listening to the birds sing every morning with our morning coffee. Most days we’d stroll into town late morning get some fresh fish and cheese from the market then head back to the villa, sunbathe a few hours; jumping in the pool and having a swim when the sun got too much. We’d then fire up the BBQ and grill the fish for a late lunch. In the evenings we’d walk into town and sit outside one of the lovely bars along the river or in the squares and watch the world go by before eating in one of the restaurants the owners recommended which were all excellent and very reasonably priced. We never had a bad meal! We loved every minute of our stay and didn't want to leave. It was the most relaxing holiday we’ve ever had. I’d recommend staying in this villa to anybody as it is perfect! We’ve already booked again for next year with some friends!

We really enjoyed our stay in this fantastic villa, loved lovely pool and terrace and BBQ area, and just a short flat walk in to Tavira town. The villa has everything you could possible ask for, a real gem, and the owners were very helpful with the booking process and recommendations on things to do and restaurants to visit in the area.
