Very good and relaxing stay in Sablet in a very pleasant and comfortable house.

Perfect Provence Family Home
The location is fabulous. Views, private and with easy access to several nearby traditional towns. The property is very spacious. We were family of five and had space for being together and also for moments of individual seclusion. We used the pool extensively. High quality umbrellas and loungers. The dart board was a great bonus. I will always remember going to sleep with the window open overlooking the vineyards with the silence and stars. Then waking up to beautiful green and blue. Collette did a great job with easy check-in and check-out. I have done many VRBOs around the world and this was one of the best experiences of all.

Great location for a peaceful stay in France
Lovely home with lots of space both indoors and out (if you have kids), well-stocked kitchen, and beautiful views. Only 1/2 mile walk to center city. Good location for day trips to Orange, Pont du Gard, Avignon, and Vaison la Romaine. Highly recommended.

A beautiful house with wonderful views
We had a great fortnight after a dreadful experience with Hertz in Avignon. Caroline, the house manager, was fantastic in helping us find alternative car hire and really helpful through the entire stay. The house is truly beautiful and will-equipped. Being keen cooks we took full advantage of the new range cooker as well as the barbecue (not to mention the pool). There is a lovely walk through the vineyards to Seguret where we recommend Cote Terrasse for good, reasonably-priced food.
A stay at St Amand is highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

Just perfect......
Our family had an amazing holiday in Sablet! We adored the proximity of the village (15 minute walk away) and being surrounded by vines. The house is very private and secluded - just perfect for relaxing and recharging your batteries! After touring the area it was delightful to come home to our private paradise of St Amand each day. We spent many carefree hours on the terrace, under the arbor eating with family and drinking rose. We so admired the breathtaking view of the village from here. it was a dream come true. Thank you so much for sharing your delightful property with us! We hope to return one day.

What a gem of a house
This house is even better than the photos show!
The booking process was smooth and easy, mainly down to the owners being so organised. Thank you.
We are a family of six - with four small children - and the house was just want we wanted. The owners are very much geared up to accommodate young guests: cots, high chairs, baby alarm were all provided for us.
The house was spotless and very well maintained, the garden just lovely and safe for our children, the pool perfect.
Our children were thrilled to see that they had their own special bedlinen and toiletries. A wonderful touch by the owners.
The very cheerful House Manager helped us to settle in on arrival and before we knew it, we were enjoying our first glass of wine (provided by the owners) on the terrace!
We had all our meals on the terrace, mainly BBQs, taking in the superb view of Sablet. We enjoyed picking the figs off the tree for breakfast each morning and our lazy walk to the village for bread became something we all looked forward to.
Without any hesitation, we would recommend this property to everyone we know.

Relaxing in Provence
A wonderful holiday in a great area of France, staying in just the best house!
The location, situation and facilities were exactly as described and shown in the photos. The house was spotless and beautiful maintained. The owners were so easy and polite to deal with, and so helpful in assisting with best travel arrangements for us to reach Sablet.
We spent our days walking, visiting the local markets, eating out and relaxing by the beautiful pool. There are many more activities in the area if you have the energy!
We would recommend staying at this property to anyone considering Provence for their next vacation. It's a perfect house for family.

Great house! Great holiday!
A very beautiful house in one of our favourite parts of France. We had the best holiday!
The house is right in the middle of the vineyards, nestled in the Dentelles - just as the advert says. The listing description for this house is 100% accurate.
You can take some fantastic walks and cycle rides straight out of the drive. It's a lovely 10 minute stroll to the lovely villages of Sablet and Seguret - both of which produce delicious wine.
The house is extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, very stylish and comfortable and a perfect place for a family vacation.
The owners were very helpful all through the booking process and then the very efficient House Manager takes over once you arrive at the house.
We whole heartedly recommend this house for your next stay in Provence.

A hidden gem in Provence……
Everything about this vacation was relaxing. From our initial enquiry through to arriving at this perfect house, the owners were very friendly and did everything they could to ensure we had a great stay.
Once we arrived, the wonderful House Manager looked after us. Helping us to familiarise ourselves with our vacation home, checking we had everything we needed, offering suggestions for restaurants and days out.
The house is exactly as detailed on the advert: in the most wonderful setting, surrounded by vineyards and an easy 15-minute walk to the village for daily provisions.
Lots of space inside and outside, spotlessly clean, everything you could possibly need was provided.
We were five adults with two small babies. Cots, highchairs, diaper bins all offered and provided.
The weather was very hot but the pool kept us cool and refreshed. Inside, the house remained cool. We did as the locals do: windows and shutters are kept closed from around 11 am to 6pm. It really worked!
We would love to return.
Would we recommend you stay here? Absolutely - don't hesitate in making a booking!

Our wonderful family holiday
We were so looking forward to our holiday in Provence and our stay at St Amand and we had the best holiday ever.
The owners were extremely helpful and thoughtful. We received brilliant customer service from the owners and the house manager. The booking process was easy and very professional. The house is exactly as described, but even nicer than the photos show. The house is spotless and spacious with plenty of space for everyone - ideal for families. We were a family of seven, three generations all together, so space was important! The location is just perfect for a relaxing holiday.
We fell in love with the area: visiting the markets, buying wonderful food to cook in the evenings, wine tasting, trying local restaurants, hiking, cycling, swimming in the crystal clear pool - we did it all!
We will return and would recommend this house to anyone looking for a holiday in Provence.

A lovely area and a wonderful house…
We were delighted with our stay at St Amand. Everything was just as the advert shows.
Dealing with the Owners was a very pleasant experience. They couldn’t do enough for us.
Booking was simple and easy with the Owners keeping in touch at all times, even calling us just before we left Australia to wish us a safe journey!
This is a lived in and loved family home – so it’s very easy to relax from the moment you arrive. The house is light, airy and uncluttered – and exceptionally clean. The beds are so comfortable and the bed linen beautiful. Each of the bathrooms had a very generous supply of towels, along with a hairdryer and shower gel and soap.
If you love cooking, you really will enjoy using the very well equipped kitchen. Shopping for food at the market in Vaison La Romaine was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed plenty of BBQ meals as well sitting by the pool.
The Owners leave plenty of information about the area and a very useful house guide.
We explored the area, enjoyed lots of delicious wine from the area, did a cookery class and enjoyed many pleasant walks, but we also made time to enjoy relaxing by the pool, with pool towels being provided.
Our stay flew by, and we were very sad to have to leave this perfect spot in Provence but we hope to return very soon.
Thank you for sharing your home!

Wonderful family holiday
I wanted to take my family on a memorable family holiday so the location and property were important to us. We were not disappointed by either. We had been to the area briefly once before and knew there was lots to see and do particularly for wine lovers. Sitting round the table in the shade lingering over breakfast, lunch or dinner became part of our daily routine. When it all got too hot the fabulous pool was there to cool us off. With a fully equipped kitchen and an outside kitchen area it was much appreciated by the foodie in our group! Four equally sized bedrooms make sure no one has to worry about the box room.... spotlessly clean too! A memorable holiday.

Our family escape to Provence
This was the perfect place for meeting up with our grown up family who are scattered around Europe.
The area is stunning and unspoilt; Sablet is a working wine village.
The house is just perfect for families.
We were six adults with plenty of space. It was easy to find your own quiet space if you needed it…in the house or in the garden.
The house was beautifully clean and very well equipped. The pool was crystal clear and helped us to keep cool in the wonderful summer heat.
The booking and payment process was dealt with in a professional and friendly way. The owners were very helpful in assisting us when it came to arranging our travel.
We did a wine tour and a cookery school - all information being provided by the owners.
We also walked, swam and had siestas by the pool!
For renters with a greater sense of adventure there are many walks and cycle trails in the area. The owners leave comprehensive information about the area and activities available.
We enjoyed all of our meals outside – the BBQ and outside kitchen being well used by us. We enjoyed making the most of the lovely fresh local food that we shopped for at the many local markets (again, a very comprehensive list of local markets being left in the Information File), all washed down by the wonderful local wines.
We booked to eat at a couple of restaurants recommended by the owners. L’Oustalet in Gigondas being our favourite!
Sitting on the terrace at night with the amazing view of Sablet in the distance was just wonderful. The sunsets were pretty spectacular.
We highly recommend staying in this lovely house - it really is nestled among the vineyards.

Pleasant property close to nice village
Spacious property with a good layout . Six adults in our party , plenty of places to sit inside and out . Kitchen well equipped ,Beds comfortable , shower rooms adequate ( Only two toilets ).
It was really nice to eat outside on the patio in the evenings enjoying the sunsets with a gorgeous view of Sablet .
I have given it four stars instead of five for the following reasons:
It is now looking a little tired in places, outside could do with paint .
Swimming pool is a little dated (shallow) and needs some TLC! Fine for young children.. maybe not so enticing for adults.
However it's location is really good , we enjoyed exploring the area and did lots of wine tasting !

Just wonderful!
Staying at St Amand was a delight.
This was our last week of a four week trip to France and it was the perfect end to our wonderful holiday.
We mainly stayed in and around Sablet. Shopping in the village each morning and relaxing by the pool in the afternoons became our routine.
The weather was lovely for September which meant we used the BBQ most of the time, eating outside taking in the splendid views from the terrace.
We would highly recommend a stay at St Amand: the house is spotless, you have everything you could possibly need, and the owners are very engaging and pleasant to deal with.
We hope to return.

A relaxing, warm winter retreat in Provence
Our family had a wonderful stay at the St Amand villa, located in expansive, open vineyards, just outside of the historical village of Sablet, over the festive-new year period. Of course it was cool, being winter, but the weather remained friendly for us and the skies were blue and clear. The villa is spacious and extremely well equipped for any guests and occasions, with abundant living areas, and very warm and cosy. Following a two week traveling family holiday through the UK, it was a godsend to unwind and relax in such a beautiful and comfortable setting.
We mixed enjoying spending time as a family together in the villa, cooking ourselves in a wonderful kitchen, with exploring the Vaucluse region - the vineyards and farms, the villages, the restaurants, Mont Ventoux, the Roman history, and the more modern Provence history.
Linda, the villa manager, combined with Rosie, the owner, were of great assistance in all aspects of our stay, and made everything very simple for us mostly non-French speaking people, from clear arrival details, and throughout our entire stay. We thank them very much for their attention and hospitality.
We were very content with our stay and would come again anytime.

Wonderful house in wonderful setting.
You might wonder looking at the photos if this property can really be this lovely, it is! The owners obviously love their home and have taken a lot of care to set up everything you might need to enjoy your stay. The housekeeper meets you to show you round then you sit back and enjoy this wonderful place in Provence. Eating on the terrace with the wonderful view of Sablet is magical as were the shooting stars we were lucky to see on several evenings! We would love to still be there and hope to return.

A beautiful property in a pretty village
This house is even more beautiful than the photos show.
Booking was easy and dealing with the owners, a delight.
It is a pretty, spacious house in a very private setting in the middle of vineyards, off a private lane just outside of Sablet.
With a pool and lots of outdoor seating/dining areas – some shaded from the sun - it is perfect for outdoor living.
We made good use of the built-in and covered barbecue area and had all our meals outside.
The interior and exterior of the house are beautifully maintained. The kitchen is completely equipped with everything you could possibly need.
On arrival you are met by the House Manager who helps you to settle in – a nice touch.
The owners leave lots of maps, brochures, etc. in the house for the area, there was a very detailed house guide that covered just about every topic, and the comfortably furnished upstairs living room has a very large selection of books.
The pretty village of Sablet is an easy walk away, and it has everything you need...2 bakeries, a small grocery store, a bank, a butcher, a chemist, a tourist office/cave, a bar, a pizza restaurant and a really excellent Michelin Starred restaurant close by.
The towns of Gigondas, Séguret, Vacqueras, and Beaumes de Venise, with good food and wine are only a few kilometers away, and Vaison-la-Romaine, the nearest "big" town is only 11k away.
This is a perfect house to use as a base for walking and biking...there are a number of marked walks and bike rides that run right through Sablet; for touring around the area; for doing nothing but sitting quietly by the pool and reading a book.
The view of Sablet from the dining table on the terrace at sunset is quite spectacular. Stay here if you can! I recommend it highly.

A wonderful place to stay
We love Provence and have stayed at many places in this area over the years. This year we decided to stay at St Amand in Sablet. A wonderful choice….
The booking process was friendly, simple and professional. The house was exactly as the owners had said it would be – spacious, beautifully clean, simply furnished with quality items, and in a delightful private situation.
We were a family of five and we had plenty of space to spread out and it is easy to find your own private spot to relax if you want to. There are lots of shady areas in the garden for your afternoon siesta. The pool was crystal clear and very inviting.
The house is run very efficiently with a House Manager to meet and greet you, gardeners that visit weekly and a pool man that also visits weekly.
The kitchen is very well equipped, including an impressive professional stove. It’s obvious that the owners love to cook! We mainly cooked on the BBQ in the outside kitchen and all of our meals were enjoyed outside sitting on the terrace. Wonderful…..
The village of Sablet is a very easy walk away – about 15 minutes – and here we found everything we needed for our every day provisions: a butcher, 2 bakeries, a small grocery store, and a bank. If needed, there are also supermarkets close by in Sarrians, Carpentras and Vaison la Romaine.
There are lots of activities in the area. We hired bikes from Vaison and enjoyed exploring the local area and vineyards. The owners leave comprehensive information about the area, including walking and cycling maps.
We were very reluctant to leave and would happily have stayed another week if there had been availability for us to do so.
We would certainly recommend you stay here if you can!

Tranquil stay in rural Provence
We really enjoyed our stay at St Armand. The house is surrounded by vineyards, with some really spectacular views towards Sablet from the terrace. It is a great place to experience rural Provence.
The house is large and well equipped; there were only two of us on this holiday, but it would easily accommodate quite a large family. Lots of space inside and outside, with a good pool and barbecue area.
We found lots to do in the region, including visits to Orange and to Vaison la Romaine. Seguret would be quite easy to walk to; we made the mistake of driving there. Really interesting and tasty restaurants nearby – les Abeilles in Sablet; and we were very lucky to find Tuilleries for a good value, rural Provencal experience.
Yes; we’ll be back.

The holiday was everything we have come to expect from Provence. St Armand is nestled amongst the vineyards with fantastic views of Sablet. We spent hours gazing upon the village, devouring croissants, patés, cheeses and quaffing wine.
The house is exceptionally kept and provides everything you could need.
The pool provided fantastic relief from the mid-day sun. A great hit with the adults, as well as the kids.
You can while away the days quite easily at the house as there is plenty of room. Alternatively venture out to many of the close by villages and towns like Gigondas, Séguret, Beaumes-de-Venise, and Vaison-la-Romaine.
In essence we had fun, and would recommend this place 100%. Thanks for letting have a slice of heaven.

A beautiful Provencal house, St Amand, close to the pretty, unspoilt village of Sablet. This was the perfect setting for our family holiday.
The house is very private, but just a fifteen minute walk from the village of Sablet. Here we found everything we needed: the delicious morning croissants and bread from a choice of two bakeries, all our groceries from the small supermarket, wonderful fresh meat from the village butcher and fresh fish from the fishmonger who arrived on a Thursday morning and set up his van in the village. There was also a small market in the village square on Friday morning - this is where we found the most delicious tapenade and olives.
The house is absolutely spotless - you can immediately see that the owners love this house. It has a very welcoming feel. It is also very well equipped, from the luxurious bed linen and ample supply of soft towels to the matching crockery. The kitchen is very well appointed - it was a pleasure to prepare our meals in here, although all our meals were enjoyed sitting on the terrace and enjoying the most spectacular views of the village.
The owners leave a very generous welcome pack of goodies along with files containing all the information you need relating to the house, the area and the local restaurants.
We would happily recommend St Amand to all our family and friends and we hope to return very soon.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

As we are keen walkers, we decided to book a late vacation in this beautiful part of France when the sun would be less fierce. The weather was perfect for us - blue skies and lots of sunshine with temperatures in the very high twenties. We also managed to swim most days!
There are so many walks in the area - the owners leave walking maps for guests and we made very good use of these.
Being able to buy everything we needed from the local village was a joy - it provides for all your daily living needs. A lazy stroll to do some shopping, followed by a coffee at the Bar des Sports to watch the world go by....How easy it was to establish this habit!
The evenings were spent exploring the local restaurants - of which there are many - and enjoying the local wines. Just perfect.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in 2013.

We stayed in this wonderful house for 2 weeks in July/August and had a truly idyllic holiday.
The house is charming and very well equipped. The kitchen is lovely and easy to work in. The bedrooms are spacious and the bedlinen luxurious. There are two comfortable living rooms in the house, but we hardly used them as we were outside most of the time. The barbecue area is great and was used very frequently, and the outdoor kitchen area made it very easy.
The outdoor areas of the house are just magnificent and have the most fantastic view of Sablet. This is where we spent most of our time, in the outdoor dining area, enjoying the view, the local wine and food. In the day it is shady and cool, and at night it is atmospheric; with pretty outdoor lights and Sablet lit beautifully......sigh.
Our daughters (14 and 11) both had a friend to stay and they spent most of their time in the swimming pool. They also appreciated the short walk into Sablet where they would frequently go (alone) to eat Crepe (great little restaurant) or to just have a bottle of Coca Cola at the bar. They would also walk in to buy our morning Croissant.
My husband and I cycled some mornings, mostly in the Dentilles. Cycling here is a real joy!
We shopped in the village for most of our meals. The Bakery and Butcher are both excellent. Vaison market is fantastic for food too.
I cannot recommend this property highly enough, it was just paradise. It was the perfect place to enjoy a family holiday in very special surroundings.

We had the most amazing, relaxing stay at St Amand. We fell in love with the house and the village of Sablet.
Over the years, we have rented many different houses in Provence, but this is the house we will return to. It is beautifully cared for by the owners and so well equipped.
Our plan was to explore the area, and while we did a little bit of exploring, we found ourselves spending more and more time simply relaxing by the inviting swimming pool or under the shade of the terrace.
It really is the most peaceful place with stunning views of Sablet from the terrace. The perfect place to sit with a chilled glass of wine and contemplate life!!
We enjoyed our trips to the local markets with their vast choice of fresh produce - we wanted to buy it all! And of course our excursions to local vineyards to taste and buy wine were fun.
Our holiday seemed to flash by, we wish we could have stayed longer.
But we will be back......

We stayed here for a week and the description and photos don't do justice to the beauty and seclusion of this property.
The owner provided a very welcome goody back when we checked-in, ensuring we had wine a-plenty to start our holiday in style. The house was immaculate, spacious and very charming and we enjoyed both relaxing on the terrace and cooling off in the pool. We cooked many meals in the kitchen and enjoyed the fabulous view of Sablet from the terrace in the evening.
The house is an easy 15-min walk from Sablet on a very quiet lane, ensuring peace and solitude whilst also allowing easy access to the village for morning pastries and evening beers at the Bar Des Sports.
We enjoyed a fabulous week at this house and would not hesitate to book again. The owners and their local assistants were extremely helpful and the house lived up to our every expectation.
Also, please book a wine tour with Olivier, who is both very knowledgeable and an immaculate host for the day.
Chapeau!

The pictures and description on the web do not even come close to doing this house justice. It is a wonderful, spacious house in a very private setting in the middle of vineyards, off a tiny road just outside of Sablet. With a pool and multiple outdoor seating/dining areas (protected from the sun), it is perfect for outdoor living. The built-in and covered barbecue area will have you cooking and eating all your meals outside. There are two bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs, with full bathrooms on both floors. There are large living rooms on both floors and there is plenty of room to spread out, although we spent almost all of our time outdoors. The kitchen is completely equipped with stove, oven, microwave/oven, 2 refrigerators, dishwasher, clothes washing machine, etc. There is WiFi but no TV. We were two couples, and the house was perfect for us, but it could easily accomodate 4 couples or two couples with children, as long as you didn't mind sharing bathrooms. There is no clothes dryer, but there is a clothesline out back and clothes dry very quickly in the sun. The property is very well maintained and the local English couple who look after it are extremely nice and helpful. Dealing with the (English) owners was a pleasure. Language is not a problem as everyone (pool guy, gardener, etc.) all seem to be English! There were lots of maps, brochures, etc. in the house for the area, there was a very detailed "instruction" book for the house that covered just about every topic, and the comfortably furnished upstairs living room has a very large selection of books.
The pretty town of Sablet is an easy walk away, and it has everything you need...2 boulangerie/patisseries, a small grocery store, a bank, a butcher, a pharmacie, a tourist office/wine store, several café/pizza places and a really excellent Michelin ranked restaurant. The towns of Gigondas, Séguret, Vacqueras, and Beaumes de Venise, with good food and wine are only a few kilometers away, and Vaison-la-Romaine, the nearest "big" town is only 11k away.
This is a perfect house to use as a base for hiking and biking...there are a number of marked hikes and bike rides that run right through Sablet... a perfect base for touring around the area, and a perfect base for doing nothing but sitting quietly by the pool and reading a book. The view of Sablet from the dining table under the arbor at sunset is quite spectacular. The house is hard to beat. I recommend it highly.

We spent a fantastic fortnight at this lovely villa. The views of Sablet from this secluded spot are wonderful, not to mention the beautiful sunsets we were treated to. Days were mainly spent walking to Sablet for fresh bread and patisserie in the mornings, lots of time in and out of the pool in the afternoon and leisurely BBQ's in the evening, making use of the outdoor kitchen area (perhaps some wine tasting in one of the plethora of local vineyards thrown in for good measure!). The villa was spotless and had everything we needed. There's lots of nice walks from the villa and beautiful drives nearby including Mont Ventoux. A thoroughly relaxing holiday had by all.

We had the most relaxing holiday staying at this wonderful house. We were able to relax from the moment we arrived. You feel as if you are staying in your best friend's house as the owners make you feel so welcome! St Amand is beautiful. The setting is breathtaking, with stunning views across the vineyards and towards Sablet. There is so much to do in the area: walking, cycling, cookery schools, wine tours. We did it all! We were a family of eight – three generations together. The house and garden provided lots of space for all of us to find our own private patch if we needed it. We quickly established a morning ritual of taking a lazy walk into the village of Sablet where we bought the breakfast croissants from one of the bakers, of which there were two, and provisions for the day from the small, well stocked local general store. Our time here flew by. It was so difficult to pack our bags and head back home. We have already rebooked for 2013 - what a gem this place is!
