This was my second stay here. Rooms were clean and comfortable, coffee and tea topped up every day. Lovely carvery and breakfast. Will be back again next year for the Aberdare Road Racing.

Very soft and small beds even for a single. Old bathroom needing refurbishment. Breakfast was weird, asked for ham didn't have, and the toast were burnt and they served anyway.

The staff were wonderful, helpful, friendly and so accommodating. I was really pleased with the food; we had dinner at the hotel and all of us had a carvery! Really great price for the stay and the food.

It was a little tricky to find, but I cannot fault anything about the hotel. The lady on reception who booked us in had been there for 33 years; she was wonderful!

Room was comfortable. Dinner at night was OK. Choice of a carvery which was very reasonably priced. The breakfast was very good. The hotel was very good value.

Only problem encountered was that it was advertised as having clothes washing facilities. As touring motorcyclists we were going to wash our clothes whilst staying here but there were no facilities to do this.

The whole hotel was in a good state of repair.

Nice size good clean room, friendly staff. Hotel in good area a little hilly if you have walking issue's A good decent breakfast.

Mattress a bit hard and wasn't told breakfast finished at 8.30 on a sunday apart from that all good

The staff were so friendly and attentive. It was lovely chatting with them, and they really made the stay. The same staff were having to do everything, though - from reception and breakfast to cleaning the rooms and clearing up in the kitchen! The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was lovely and the Sunday dinner was AMAZING - it must have weighed a few kilograms!

Although the room itself was clean, it was dated and tired. The carpet, for example, was stained and threadbare and in need of updating. The kettle was old and chipped and again needed replacing with a newer model. There was an old-fashioned trouser press in the room but no iron. The bedding was clean and fresh, but the bed spread was old and faded. The walls were very thin, and I could hear every word the couple next door were saying. The noise of the floorboards in the next room was so loud it sounded like they were in the room, though I appreciate there's not much the hotel can do about this.

The room we stayed in was very clean and spacious, with a good view. There's even a massage bath in the room. The hotel decoration is quite lovely especially if you like vintage style. The restaurant provides cavalry and the full breakfast's good.

Great hotel, room and bathroom were very clean. Lovely and very helpful reception lady. Breakfast was good. There was no hot water one evening it, but was fixed straight away. I would stay there again.

Staff were lovely and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. Food was amazing - fantastic carvery and great breakfast. There was plenty of variety.

The building was obviously once grand but some finer details are looking tired, mainly in the room. The room we had was over a noisy generator which did not stop until 10 pm and started promptly at 6 am. and during the night it was possible to hear every footstep of the person in the room above, none of which was conducive to a good nights sleep.
