We just liked everything about the room and the view is brilliant and sitting out on the balcony, excellent. This is our third time and we will be back.

The receptionist was very friendly, the location is brilliant, rooms very clean. Basic but value for money.

Scratchy sheets but that’s minor. Being a soft southerner I prefer a softer sheet 😀

The face that the door lock was nearly worn out and my understanding is that a lot of them are. It was a lottery as to whether I could get into the room. Sometimes it took 6 attempts. It would cost very, very little to replace them.

Considering it is a stop off hotel , the facilities and outlook, room size and comfort are outstanding value, Room was clean,spacious, and the balcony views across the lake are perfect to relax.

The location was ideal for a stopover en route. Very convenient for the motorway. Tea and coffee facilities provided in the very spacious room, plus a small outside balcony. We had a lovely walk around the small lake to wind down before bed.

We paid for a Lake view room, but the trees had grown so tall, the lake was barely visible. Unfortunately the only food outlet is MacDonalds, but we made sure we ate before we arrived and drove an hour to the lovely Tebay Services for a farm breakfast after a cup of tea in the room. If you’re driving north, Cairn Lodge services is an excellent option for breakfast.
