The hotel is tucked a away near the lake. Even though the property is quite big it instills the feeling of remote tranquility. The room was spacious, quiet, and had great views. Parking was convenient. Staff was friendly, helpful and always went the extra mile. Food in the adjacent restaurant was exceptional.

Farchauer Mühle is just an excellent hotel, lovely location, lovely surroundings, great breakfast and very friendly staff.
it's a bit humid there but that's because of three lakes around ;-)

A lovely location, excellent breakfast with view on the lake and very friendly staff. Will certainly come back, what a wonderful place. Lübeck and Schwerin are close and many other lovely sites too.
booking.com might give good info about location to tell the sat-nav. Hotel belongs to Schmilau and when you fill in Ratzeburg, it sends you through the forest.

A few meters from the lake and walking paths. Nice room but no lake view as such. Surrounded by forest in a nice setting. Excellent restaurant. Ask for balcony room
No complaints. More of a lodge than hotel but quite relaxing.
