Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great. We could never figure out how all the light switches worked. The heating system was way off...half of us froze, half of us were super hot. The washer/dryers did not work well; one load of towels took 3 cycles to dry. No detergent was in the lower laundry room, and there were no laundry baskets to carry anything. My husband and brother in law also both got tickets for parking overnight in the free lots. It’s ridiculous to have a home for 27 people but only allow 4 vehicles in the driveway and NOT provide somewhere else for free; if that’s the case, parking passes should have been provided like our last rental...especially for $34,000 rental fee. Then, the cleaning ladies showed up at 9:00 am and just sat out in the driveway watching us all, even though checkout wasn’t until 10. Felt super rushed.

Everything worked well. Management company was very responsive. Take this for what it is worth...but one of our guests didn't ski. She was sitting in the 2nd floor living room, and a mouse ran straight across the couch and then across her lap! She screamed. Her son was there and was able to chase it and trap it under a bowl. It unfortunately did not make it after that. Then we found activated snap traps in the house. About 3 of them. What was most bothersome is this signified they were aware of the rodent problem and didn't inform us. But what was really upsetting was the traps. We had several small kids with us. And no warning. One was in the pantry! Had a child stepped on it, or even an adult who was unaware, that could have been really bad. Plus, no one was checking them. A decomposing rodent would not have been pleasant in the kitchen either. The next day we saw another mouse downstairs. They put some bait out for them that day and collected the snap traps they could find. They both got really chewed up, so they probably didn't make it. Certainly confirmed there were quite a few living in there. Would definitely recommend if the rodent issue was resolved. It's otherwise a nice home. But mice really creeped out a lot of our guests and made the home very uncomfortable.

Cobwebs on the Shandler dust 1/8 thick on the ceiling fan and 1/8 of dust on the arch above the TV to get this kind of build up means it hasn't had attention in a while. The property is spacious with floor to ceiling views of the mountains. River Ridge was very responsive to a couple of issues and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. We were a family of 19, ages 5 mos and up. There are 4 steps in, both on the sidewalk and in the garage, but once inside it’s accessible. Great place and nice people.

We had great week with kids and grandkids, a perfect slopeside seething just as advertised!

This house is incredible. Easy communication with the host. The location on the mountain with ski in/ski out capability is the highlight. There was more beds than we even realized and it was a perfect place for our group! Would definitely stay again.

The place was exactly as described with tons of extras. spacious enough for my family of 24. The house is well kept. Ski in/out right behind the house. Hot tubs, large kitchen space, large jetted tub, elevator and pool table. The host checked in with me and made sure we had everything we needed. They also gave us a few recommendations on places to go. Any questions or concerns we had were answered right away. Will recommend and go back again.

This property was perfect for us. The large kitchen/gathering area is great for a large group to gather. Also the living area space downstairs provides additional space for kids to congregate separately from the adults. Only suggestions would be paring knives and more kitchen towels

Reviewer Comments: One of the bigger motivations for choosing this specific home was it had two sets of washer/dryer. Both dryer put holes in the clothes of several people in our group. Leaving is to have to air dry everything for the remainder of the trip. Also things were not in great working order such as the stovetop clicking and most burners not working at all. One mini fridge not working at all. The hot tip cover was totally ripped therefor the hot tub itself was filthy. The pool table felt was all ripped also. As were the sheets in the Indian room. There were no screens in the Bear room making opening the windows impossible unless we wanted a room filled with bugs. The pool table felt was tore at many holes. The downstairs fridge leaked. The shower in the bear room had a screw holding it together making adjusting water temp very difficult. Overall it was OK. It’s reasonable to expect some things may be out of order but the list was very long and to have no working dryer awas a huge inconvenience. Also to bring new clothes on vacation only to have them destroyed day one was extremely frustration for 3 sets of guests.

This was our 10th annual family get away. Our 5 married kids (10) and 8 grand kiddos for a total of 20, get together for food, fun, & games!

This was our 10th year to rent Lumber Jack Lodge. The owner is still a "tight wad" when it comes to upkeep !!!! River Ridge Rentals office staff has been "superior" over the years. This however, will be our last year for Lumber Jack Lodge. A few people in our group have reached that age where skiing has become a challenge and have decided to hang up the skis/boots. Again, thanks for all the memories that we have enjoyed associated with River Ridge Rentals and Lumber Jack Lodge !!!!!

Beautiful house with an amazing location, this property had everything you needed for the kitchen and such a great layout for a large family.

Pro. Very roomy, perfect great room area where everyone can hang, loved our view. Cons. Refrigerator is semi cold, and for as big as the house you need an additional refrigerators, had to use coolers
