I had a group of about 18 stay at this house for my 30th birthday in late July and we had the BEST experience with the home and host! We had PLENTY of room as we rented the entire home for the group, but renting parts of the home is also an option for smaller groups. The home is well kept and newly renovated in some areas. Everyone enjoyed having plenty of bathrooms and seating areas to hang in our downtime. The home is a quick drive or walk to anywhere in Port Clinton. The host was more than accommodating for ALL requests! Sheryl was very responsive and even answered a late night urgent call when we had some confusion on the passcode to part of the house (it was our fault). The host was very patient throughout our whole weekend stay and made sure to cover every detail prior to and during our stay. Thank you for making my 30th the best birthday yet!

We had a wonderful time staying here with my whole extended family. The property was very clean and well maintained. We were also provided with plenty of towels, toilet paper, and even laundry soap. The owner was great and easy to contact when we had a question or concern. We would definitely stay here again.

Great family vacation. While staying there we had a Tornado warning, our host keep checking on us. Great host.

My fantasy football group was able to have an amazing weekend and got our college friends all back together under 1 roof again. The house was great for having everyone in 1 spot and able to hang out all together. Plenty of room inside and outside for cooking/cards/games. Easy 30 minute walk to the Jet Express Ferry over to Put In Bay and around 15 minute walk to Port Clinton Beach.

There were 6 families with 19 of us and we all had plenty of room to visit and play. With 8 children 10 and under, we were thrilled to have much for them to do close by. Owner so helpful and easy to work with! Truly recommend this property!

We have a fantastic time at The Gathering Place! We had a large group with ages ranging from 1-year-old to 67 years old. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. The kitchens were well stocked. The beds were super comfy! There were plenty of blankets and pillows as well. Lots of great communication with the property owner. She gave us lots of ideas for things to do while we were there and was very helpful with my many questions. The pool was great and the beach was nice too. Both were only a short drive from the house. We also enjoyed taking the ferry to the island of Put-in-Bay. Would highly recommend!!

We read all of the reviews and knew that the space would be adequate for our big family and that the place would be clean, but there is not a price that can be placed on an immaculate facility where EVERYTHING has been thought of and the communication is excellent! We simply can't say enough good. Perfect location. Perfect hosts. Perfect accommodations. DO NOT HESITATE to book! We didn't want for anything even though we made all of our meals there and had family members ranging from infant to senior. Perfection!

Had my children (5) & their spouses/ boyfriend & 9 grand children for a weekend together. It was nice getting together as one big family under one roof. The property was well suited for just such a gathering. Property was well maintained & conveniently located to islands & other attractions in the area.

Cheryl the owner was super easy to work with. Super easy process and was ready well before our group got there. The place had ample places to relax inside and out with a very nice patio area to BBQ and just chill after a long day on the boat. Very clean, with every little detail taken care of. I will definitely be coming and staying again for my annual guys trip. All the beds were queen sized which was amazing, as well as super comfy. Felt like I was visiting my aunts, grandma's place with the warm feeling. Thank you very much for the great place to stay for the weekend.

Great place for any size group or individual vacations or weekend getaways. Fully furnished just bring your food and beverages. Excellent location with everything in close distance. Will rent again!

The owner was so helpful in giving us ideas of things to do, and communicated well before AND after our stay! Plenty of room, clean, easily accessible from the highway. We will definitely be back! Just what we need for our large group

From the first conversation with Cheryl about how our family would fit in the property, to the time there, to checkout, Cheryl was helpful and responsive. Even with her busy schedule she checked on us with a text. The grandkids really enjoy the communal pool during the week. A couple times we had it all to ourselves. We had a couple hours at East Harbor State Park beach which is beautiful and very sandy very far out. All the beds were comfortable. The four middle age grandkids spent much of their time on the lower level, using the dorm room with 4 queen beds as their private play room! We loved the kitchen and living area on the second level. The deck on the second level served us well for morning coffee, afternoon drinks and our adult dinner! Although this property is in a commercial area, we could see the lake from the second floor deck and could easily walk to the city beach to view the sunsets. A great location to see the area and come home in the afternoon to relax and visit!

This was a great place to stay for large families (we had 18 people from age 1-68!). Everyone had a bed and it was great to have the little suite for my husband's parents to have a little extra privacy. It was so close to the beach, too!

I loved the house and Sheryl was the best to work with. So welcoming! Will definitely stay again.

What a wonderful property! Perfect place for a bigger group. Plenty of space for everyone to have their own privacy and quiet time. Sheryl is very responsive to any questions you may have and very easy to communicate with!! Excellent!! This trip is very important to all of us. This trip was started to ensure our family of 6 siblings got together with our father to do something with him he loves!! If they will have us we found our annual Home for our annual family fishing trip! You won’t be disappointed!

We went swimming in the lake, took a trip to Put in Bay, visited the Safari and pretty much relaxed at the house.

So much room to visit. Convenient location for everything. All you needed was there. I can't say enough about our stay. The Gathering Place was outstanding. Clean, clean clean.

Having this been our 3rd time staying here. We love it lots of space, clean and beds are very comfy. Mrs. Martin has been an excellent host. We're looking forward to visiting in the Fall 2020.

We were traveling with a large group. Sheryl was extremely helpful every step of the way. She patiently answered any questions we had. The house was very well stocked... from kitchen essentials to soaps, shampoo and a ton of towels. The house is nicer in real life than the pictures on HomeAway. I would definitely come back and stay here again!

We had a great time at the rental. The host was very nice, and quick to answer any questions. The rental was very clean, location was close to many attractions. Would highly recommend this rental.

The property is wonderful! We were here with 5 dancers, moms, a sister and a grandma. The house was perfect for our group. Everyone had their own bed. The girls made use of the dorm room and each mom had their own private bedroom. House was very clean, beds were comfortable. Owner is wonderful to work with and very helpful with answering questions. There are 2 separate living rooms, 3 kitchens, 4 bathrooms and 11 beds. The inside of the house is pretty and very comfortable. We were here for Dance Nationals and did not cook any meals here. However, the kitchens seemed really well stocked and there is a grill and picnic table out front. The immediate view is not amazing. It sits right off the road kind of behind a convenience store/gas station. However, it is quiet, clean and only about a block from the lake. You can see the lake from an upstairs balcony. It is a very convenient easy to get to location, and is close to many attractions and restaurants. We were very pleased with the house and with the owner. We highly recommend this property.
