All the staff are amazing and the location exceptional

A tranquil remote setting with amazing wildlife which made for a stunning but relaxing 3 night interlude during our 3 week South American odyssey. Elsa , the non resident , owner was most helpful in assisting with travel arrangements from Buenos Aires and then onto the Iguacu Falls . She is quick at responding to requests via the Booking.com App and can also be reached by WhatsApp calling . Being a small business in a fragile Argentinian financial system although the booking is underpinned by card she prefers to be paid directly. Her payment system , worked well like everything else . Interestingly Elsa was a major player in the preservation of the Ibera Wetlands keeping away proposed electricity pylons which might have intruded on the ecosystem. Elsa is also an artist and has brought her design flair to the lodge. The wonderful thing about it’s location is that it is right in the wetlands. 2 minutes and you are in one of her boats with a guide and exploring. Whereas many of the “Tailor Made” travel providers put you in a River Lodge at least 45 minutes from the wetlands and then charge you 3 times the price for the privilege . Her choice of all staff notably, Mateus , the Lodge Manager , a true gentleman, is excellent. In fact most staff have been with her for 10 years plus. The food and the guiding were great . I can recommend a stay without reservation. Nb the photos are ones I chose to represent the range of experiences and sightings not the rooms !!

Amazing, quiet location by the lagoon, with birds, capybaras and caiman on the doorstep. The hospitality and guided trips (if you go for the all inclusive package) are wonderful and a perfect balance between exploring the reserve and relaxation. We loved our time there and would highly recommend staying at posada de la laguna.

Wherever you stay in Iberá, it’s an effort to get there because of the unsealed road and need to get transfers. But it’s absolutely worth making the journey to experience one of the most special places I’ve seen for wildlife and birdlife; and posada de la laguna was extra helpful to arrange the transfer.

Gorgeous and peaceful setting directly at the laguna. Very friendly staff, delicious food.

Air condition in only one room, the night was unbearable
