Good locatiion

Light not working in bathroom. Bathroom sink needed to have drain cleaned, very slow drainage. Electric outlets inadequate for 21st century. The whole building needs updating. No English speaker at hotel.

Very charming hotel in the centre of the town. A dear old lady running the establishment. Fidenza is a charming village.

There was no lift which had not been mentioned. We were given a first floor room but stairs had to be negotiated.

I found the hotel a little tired in some respects. AC sort of OK,no WiFi in the room. Staff sweet and as helpful as possible given the language barrier. I’d describe it as basic.

This is a quirky, older hotel very well located to the train station and main square. It’s run by a very elderly, very sweet couple who clearly have a penchant for the colour red! The room itself was reasonably spacious with a comfortable bed, an armoire with drawers for clothes. The bathroom has a larger shower than most we’ve encountered in Italy, and shower gel is provided. Notably, the towels were new and cozy soft. There is a small desk in the room as well. There were good options for charging devices near the bed. After a brief chat with the male proprietor (who spoke quite good English) about our Via Francigena pilgrimage he offered us two bottles cold water.

Wifi access was weak even in the lobby, and non-existent in the room. We can do wothout wifi now and again, but one thing we really crave is a good, hot shower after a long day of hiking. Unfortunately, the water to the room never got above lukewarm (at best), so that was very disappointing. Breakfast consisted of sweets (brioche), yogurt, and basic cold cereal options. The capuccino was decent, but the fruits (apples and bananas were not good).

An older, family-run hotel with charm, which is very conveniently located. Free parking in front of the hotel. The family and staff were very friendly and helpful. We were directed to an excellent restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was good and just right for us.

Being an older hotel, the rooms are in need of some renovation. The bathroom and toiletries provided were fairly basic. The comfort of our bed and pillows were so-so.

The woman who manages the hotel is wonderful with quite a personality. The hotel is well located, with comfortable rooms with retro furnishings.

Although the positives made up for this, one could hear conversations in the lobby from my 1st floor room, as well as footsteps and conversation from the room above.

ideally located very close to the centre of Fidenza. lovely boutique hotel - very retro style but quite chique and the owner was lovely. Good breakfast - definite it worth a stay.

The door lock didn't work properly, they wouldn't allow the use of heat in room, tv channel changing needed use of number pad, wifi not strong enough on 2nd floor to send emails with a photo attached, establishment very dated - needs refresh

Location

This place is like visiting relatives. The family is warm and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the location is perfect for anything you want to do in Fidenza.

Good value and had the necessary facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful . Handy location for the historic district. Breakfast was good

It was a touch tired

The location is super convenient. The bed and comforter were wonderful.... better than many hotels that I have stayed in here in Italy. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. I appreciated her letting me eat my pizza in the breakfast area, the magazine to read and her enjoyable conversation. Also... the shower had wonderfully hot water... sometimes this doesn't happen in Italy. Not a fancy hotel but great value for the money and I would stay there again. I came to walk a portion of the Via Francigena.
