You could not ask for more beautiful view of the fall colors on the water. The house was spacious and well laid out for our party of 6 adults (only one couple). The kitchen is a cook’s dream with massive range, prep area, and other high end features. The water pressure was a bit light — however, the property management firm was very responsive. Overall, great retreat!

The kitchen is a cook’s dream with massive range, prep area, and other high end features. The water pressure was a bit light — however, the property management firm was very responsive. We were highly anticipating our stay at Lake Stone Manor. We were very excited after reading that it was featured on HGTV and saw all of the beautiful photos of the house online. We were somewhat disappointed when we arrived at the home. My husband noticed immediately that the countertops were still dirty with crumbs from the last house guest, the baseboards were filthy, with visible dirt, dust, markings, and spills all over them. The walls were scuffed and dirty and could've used a much needed freshening up. There was old food not cleaned from the stove, and there was food and spills on the cabinets that I was cleaning off myself because it looked so unappealing. I called Taylor Made immediately to report my findings and was told 'I will pass this on'. It wasn't until I sent an email that someone called and offered to send housekeeping, which we turned down because we didn't want anyone in the house once we got settled and we had already cleaned everything. We shouldn't of had to call housekeeping on our first day. There were several doors leading to the outside of the house that were all left unlocked, besides the main door with the keypad. The landscaping appears to have been neglected since the start of summer. There were weeds, spider webs, and birds nests all over the property. The gorgeous windows overlooking the lake were so dirty that when the sun shone in, you could barely see out of them. They were also streaked and filled with cobwebs. The only view of the lake from said windows is only a sliver between tress, which is fine, but the view that you can see is across the lake to a ropes course and a parking garage. This is definitely the more commercial end of the lake. There were dead mosquitos in the master bedroom, and hair all over the bathroom floor. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all. The carpet in the basement is heavily stained and dirty. None of the glass doors were cleaned. The outdoor lights over the garage wouldn't turn on, leaving it almost pitch black at night. The bench out by the dock is covered in overgrown bushes and weeds so you can't even use it. The dock also appears to be somewhat broken, with one of the poles lopsided. The faucet handles in the kitchen were extremely loose and wobbly. The water also took ages and ages to get warm enough to wash a dish or cup. If you are traveling with anyone elderly, someone with joint problems, or whose not in great shape, this house may not be for you. The walk f

We had a wonderful trip. The house accommodated everyone from early morning risers to late night gamers. Being on the lake and near WISP was perfect for all activities and convenient for take out options. The house had a large yard for outside activites. We would rent here again.

The house is as advertised. Three floors with bedrooms on every level. The only deceiving picture is the one of the bunk beds, because they are in the master bedroom directly in front of the bed. They're good for very small children. The house is located almost directly across from Deep Creek Marina club. As an aside, I rented a boat from them, i.e. Lake Life Boat Rentals. The boat was enormously expensive, but worth it for our group of active adults and teenagers, especially since they're the only boat rental place on the lake that rents double decker boats. Don't worry about renting for 5 days to get access to the Deep Creek Marina club though. It is most definitely not worth it. Still glad i rented for 5 of our full 6 days at the house though and highly recommend the house. The only other comment is that the cleaning crew could do a much better job.

This house is beautiful! The home is very comfortable - we had 12 guests and never once felt crowded. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need. It was such a nice touch that it was decorated for Christmas too. Thank you for sharing your home!

The property and location were perfect for our annual family location.

Three generations of our family enjoyed this retreat for a weeks vacation. Our granddaughter loved the yard and exploring. Our sons loved renting a boat and fishing, and the girls had a spa day at Lake Salon. While the weather wasn’t ideal the house provided a wonderful haven to hang out!

We especially enjoyed the dining room with the great lake view and the 2 lake view porches. The 3 levels worked well for us and the large 2 car garage was a plus. Also, very close to stores. The gas grill was great. We missed having a gridle for making Grandpa's pancakes. Also, the dishwasher was not intuitive to all. We settled on just one of us starting it. We would recommend to others. We visited mini-golf, boat rental for tubing.

Reviewer Comments: our family was very happy with the house location , etc.. we were not pleased with no kleenex 4 rolls of t.p. for 10 people 2 dishwasher pods, and 4 small bottles of shampoo and body soap for 10 people staying for 7 days. I think when you spend more than $5000.00 for one week, the bathroom supplies should be more than adequate. Also the grill was filthy and could not be used also was in the shed.

The house was beautiful and the furniture was so comfortable! We had plenty of kitchen appliances, silverware, glasses, etc. The private dock was an added plus and our grandchildren spent hours on it. I would highly recommend Lake Stone Manor to anyone who is looking for a wonderful place to stay at Deep Creek. The location is also excellent...just minutes away from Wisp, grocery store, ice cream, etc. Just a side note...if I am being honest, the walk from the lake to the house is quite challenging as it is longer than we expected...

However, important to note fairly steep slope to lake dock, making it impossible for elderly parents to spend time by the lake, causing them to unfortunately remained "land-locked" during the week's stay. This does not deter a 5-star rating, as the remainder of the family enjoyed the water activities and the interior of the house met all expectations; however, would recommend a more descriptive outline of the property so we would have been able to make a more educated decision on choosing this rental for a 4-generation family getaway!
