Perfect location. very clean, friendly, helpful staff. I felt very safe as a single woman staying here. Quiet inside, even tho it could be noisy outside.

This little hotel is right in the centre of the old town, 2 mins walks from the streets containing all the pintxos bars. The room was clean, bed was comfy and the shower was hot with great water pressure. There was complimentary Tea & Coffee in the small reception area. Paula on reception, could not have been more helpful, with suggestions of where to visit, and providing help with a few issues we had (not hotel related). Being centrally located means that you do hear the street noise, which doesn't bother us, but might not be for everyone.

Nothing. But for noting this hotel is on the 2nd floor, with no lift, so pack light, as you've got to carry your luggage up, and if you struggle with stairs, its probably not the right choice of accomodation for you.

We very much enjoyed our stay at pensión Balerdi. The owner is an extremely talented and funny guy who helped us find our ways around. He was accessible every morning for questions, tips and if needed room service. The room itself was spacious and well equipped (we loved that there were 2 big blankets). The location is unique, right in the middle of the historic center and within walking distance from everything you need to see during an extended trip to San Sebastián. 100% recommended.

The downside of being that central is that it can be a bit noisy also during the night - however we did not mind. Another shelve in the bathroom would be very useful, but apart from that I could not find anything to complain about.

Unai, was a great host. Our room on the south side of the building was nice, good size and nice decor. Pretty quiet when the windows are shut. Great location on the edge of Oldtown and an easy 12 minute walk to train and bus stations. Staff very helpful with printout our train tickets for us.

There was a little communication issue for check in time but figured out that Unai was very responsive when communicating through Whats app.

Perfect location and friendly staff (Paula). From other reviews: indeed there is no AC. We were here in September and it was not necessary. Just with the windows open it was fine. Noise was really not bad when windows were closed.

For parking, you need to walk about 5 minutes. They have a discount, but it's still 24 euros per day. It's something to take into account. Beds were a bit hard.

Very clean, updated property. Host is enthusiastic and helpful - provided maps of where to eat, advice on events in town and a discount for parking nearby. Pension is well located in Old Town - steps from great food options and close to the beach.

It was unseasonably hot, so we were wishing for AC. The provided fan helped a bit, and we understand the heat we experienced while visiting isn't usual.
