A tastefully decorated, rustic house in an away-from-it-all location in the country. Our room was very comfortable, with a gorgeous view through the trees over the swimming pool down to Calpe. The casa prides itself on its cuisine but we arrived after a very late and large lunch. No problem: the staff arranged a delicious plate of soup for us. We didn't stay for breakfast, but given the high standard of everything else I imagine it is good.

The country hotel is located above Calpe, is a beautiful oasis to relax. Our sea view room is tastefully decorated and super comfortable. The gourmet restaurant offers a fantastic fine dinner by the pool and a rich breakfast the next morning. The hotel staff are very friendly and professional. Everything is perfect. We felt completely comfortable and relaxed here.

The location was beautiful with stunning views and real olde World feel about it. Will be lovely in warmer weather when you can swim in the pool and sit outside to eat in the evenings. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Would have liked to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The restaurant which is Michelin recommended and would be very romantic should have said either no children allowed after 7 pm or only allowed if well behaved. We had dinner there one evening and it was ruined by young children running around the dining room, slamming doors and shouting most of the time. It spoilt the ambience of the restaurant and we paid a lot of money for the dinner compared to a regular restaurant.

Breakfast was excellent, as dinner. But what makes this place extraordinary is the location and the staff.

This is not Casa del Maco's fault, but he Council of Calpe: the sight of the Peñón from Casa del Maco is ruined by the skyscrapers at the coast. Making money and preserving the nature at the same time... that's not possible.

It’s a hidden gem! The room is very clean, at first we were not sure because it looks rustic in the photo but actually in the room itself, it has a rustic concept but still modern and it’s really clean! The staff are super nice, we could stay more than check out hour because the room was not booked by other guest. The dinner is one of the best dinner I had, the food is exquisite and outstanding! The price is not expensive at all for the quality. We would definitely come back
