We called to say that we had arrived and somebody met us in five minutes with keys. She spoke no English but we may do. Had to pay the city tax in cash. The group location is fabulous and we were giving a ZTL pass and free parking for the two days we were there. You can’t get much closer to the action than this. Right in the middle of the central square.

Driving in the ZTL was nuts. DO NOT TRUST YOUR GPS. it will get you in trouble with turning around and twice directed us to streets that the car would not fit. The town is perfect. Right in the wine region.

ZERO sound insulation, lacking amenities

Great location, right in center of the main square. The apartment was very nicely furnished. We loved our cooking class and Montalcino wine is the best!!

The problem was since there was no air conditioning, we had to keep the windows open. My bedroom looked directly into the square. There was a "music circus" right outside my window. Loud rock music and crowds until 2 am. Even with the windows closed, the music was loud, loud, loud. I wish we had known about this when we booked. Sadly, it made our visit to Montalcino not the best.

The house is located in the heart of the village of Montalcino, difficult to find a more central location. The living space inside is excellent, the rooms and the beds are comfy, and the windows at the front and back allow to peak on the buzzing life of this historic village. Definitely worth its value.

the neighborhood is noisy and the bells ring 2 times every hour all the night plus every half hour. poor sound insulation make sleep very bad
