Nothing!

No manned Reseption. Tried to call their phone number, but no reply. After a while they called me up and asked “what do you want?”

It was clean

We did not see any breakfast but a fridge with some with some food that looked like being left from other guests?!

Good location

Worn down hotel where property owner is not even there. No check of who and how people enter into the hotel.

Upon arrival, I waited for half an hour in the dimly lit lobby at about 5pm (reception was closed behind a metal shutter). There was a piece of paper on the wall saying "help number" with two poorly handwritten phone numbers. I called both numbers (although it was difficult to work out what the phone numbers were, given the quality of the handwriting). One of my calls was answered, but the person on the other end of the phone said nothing. The other numbers I tried did not work. After half an hour of waiting for a member of staff to appear, and asking other guests if they knew where I could find a member of staff, I gave up on the whole ordeal and took an early flight home. I cannot comment on the quality of the rooms, etc. because there were no staff to actually let me in. You'd think that having a staffed reception would be necessary to operating a hotel, but the Barents Hotel disagrees.

It is in a great location for the town and port. If you want a place to sleep and wash it is pretty good. Don't expect to see anyone who works there though.

Easier contact with the staff (there were none). I ended up emailing that my TV didn't work and was missing the remote control. Awhile later someone knocked on my door and said "What do you want?" He didn't speak more than a few words of English. After awhile he gave up and said his boss would come in an hour. After 1.5 hr I left to get some dinner. When I returned the remote control worked but the TV had no sound! I never saw anyone at the desk. The key was left for me with my name. The big surprise was that then rooms are numbered from the top floor down!

Looked kinda clean I guess.

- Bad communication - Zero service - Don't book in the winter, you'll end up sleeping with all your clothes on, even your hat. (Felt like minus 10 degrees Celsius inside..) - No frokost - Bought 4 nights, had to flee after 1 night When we arrived it looked like the hotel was closed as everything was dark. We called on the phone, the boss was confused, was difficult communicating with him. I had to tell him several times that we had booked a room and we are standing outside the main entrance.. After a while he said that he will send someone. Five minutes later a young man came and looked at us (he looked confused) through the door, but walked away again for some time. He returned and looked at us again, at that time I tried to pull the door and it was open.. I paid for the room, he took pictures of our passports and we got a key. Upon entering the upper corridor we felt that it was very cold, it was even colder inside the room. We thought it'll get warmer, thought that maybe they just turned on the heater. Stayed 1 night, in full clothing and even hats on as it was super cold. In the morning we didn't see anything or anyone in the lobby, no sign of any breakfast being served. I don't recommend this hotel at all.
