Property had everything we need and the location was perfect. Kids really enjoyed the stay. Very nice experience.

Had almost all the facilities and close to the town

spacious (3 bedrooms for up to 6 persons plus 1 infant), large lounge, dining area, nice & clean, very well equipped (kitchen with washing machine, fridge/freezer, dish washer, toaster, oven, kettle, etc; living room with SKY pay TV, DVD player incl large selection and range of DVDs, but also card/board games, wide range of books, etc), secure parking (locked gate, sheltered parking); location: very central (less than 5 min walk away from town centre) but very quiet at night (side street, no traffic, no drunks); amazing value for money; and above all - very friendly, supportive, caring host, John, who excels at doing everything in his power to make his guests welcome & comfortable.

John, the owner, was very kind and available when we needed him. The house is really big and it has everything you may possibly need for your stay. The place was also clean and close to many shops, restaurants, and other fabulous villages! We are a couple with four small children and we definitely felt at home!

The apartment is massive and very modern and very comfortable . Its a 2 minute walk from the town center and the views from the apartment are brilliant . Free parking is a must and there is plenty of room at the back of the flats in the carpark. Couldnt fault anything about the place. John who met us is a nice guy and very pleasant 10 out of 10 from us

Lovely large apartment in Central Windermere, clean and every facility you could need for a short break.
The health club used too much chlorine in the pool. Noone could use it when we visited as it was literally burning your lungs

The apartment is large and is very well equipped. it is very homely and right in the town center. it is close to the train station and near to shops and restaurants.

Everything. The accommodation was perfect as a base for our stay in the Lake District. It had everything you could possibly need for a self-catered trip away, and the Health Club membership was a bonus when we needed something to do to entertain our 7 year old (she loves swimming!)

We couldn’t have wished for a better stay. John was incredibly lovely and the property had everything we could have wanted/needed. It exceeded our high expectations, and we are very excited to return!

We loved our stay at Howgill. John met us when we arrived and was very nice and gave us all the information on what we’d need around the flat. The flat itself is so central and very spacious and well equipped. We can see why everyone loved it so much.

A homely apartment in a superb location in the centre of Windermere with secure parking ( parking could have been tricky without this). It was very clean and spacious and the host, John, had thought of everything, so well equipped!
A bonus to have the health club passes included, we used the pool and gym a couple of times.

Location is perfect. Everything was within walking distance, and there is a park over the road which is great to pop dog out too.
Plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants nearby. Location is stunning, and there are lots of walks to go on which is great if you take your pets. Pubs are all dog friendly too.
We will definitely be back.
The host John is very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
I can't complain about anything, we had the most perfect weather the only issue we had was keeping cool but that is nobody's fault.

Location was perfect to walk onto the High street at the top of Windermere, and the secure parking was superb.
I think the property offers extreme value for money.
