The view and the seafood dinner was fantastic. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a lovely, hot shower. We loved our stay and booked an extra night.

We liked everything.

I was there during an unprecedented flood, which washed all of the access roads and bridges away. The couple who run the lodge were so supportive, accommodating and helpful in allowing us to stay on when we were trapped in Coffee Bay, and in meeting our various needs during the two extra days we stayed. I want to commend them for keeping going despite no power or access to fuel, food and other things. They were able to keep us provisioned with five star meals and service, all while managing their own issues caused by the flood. It made for a very memorable stay! The lodge is also in a great location with wonderful views. We were able to sit on the balcony and observe the clean-up operation happening, as well as the attempts to fix the only access road so we could eventually go home. If you are going to be trapped, this is not the worse circumstance in which to do so!

The torrential rain caused problems for us all, including challenges with flooding in the building. And of course the power was down. But the lodge did put the generator on in spells and keep us up to date on happenings.

The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed the dinner it felt so intamate and the view is absolutely beautiful. The idea of not having TV is perfect cause then you're not going to be distracted and able to enjoy their facilities fully.

The view was amazing and the staff were super friendly and welcoming!

What a little gem this place turned out to be! Michelle is the most hospitable hostess and her love and care for the place is obvious. She made a concerted effort to welcome us and even contacted us before our arrival to ask if we'd need supper and to warn us of the treacherous driving conditions. Breakfast (both the health and the regular one) was good and the coffee was delicious, too. We had the lobster and calamari special the first night which was scrumptious and good value for money. The second night, we asked if we could just have a toasted sandwich and Michelle happily obliged. The room was cold (Winter temperature, of course), but we had electric blankets to warm our bed which were a Godsend. The views from our room and the deck outside the dining room were truly special! We watched whales and porpoises splashing across the cove whilst enjoying our morning coffee.

This is a tough one... All we could think about was perhaps the need for a blackout curtain at the one window where the morning sun streams in, but that's more a 'nice-to-have' than an essential item.

The apartments are beautiful and have an amazing bay view:) Michelle was a very sweet and supportive host. We also enjoyed the dinner in the nice communal area.

No TV. No water, I know it is not their fault but it was a serious challenge.

Breakfast was superb, we really enjoyed it. As for location its very nice but dusty, the roads are very bad but not your fault of course.

None except the roads, please install tv in ur apartments. It would have been exceptional if you guys hqd tv's

we loved everything, the location was perfect. but they can improve on the room service, changing of towels more especially. the show they put was something else

Consider a little upgrade like installing Wi-Fi, having a bar fridge & microwave in the rooms could be better. Your bath towels are too dry, & old, not appealing to the eye
