My friend and I had our girls trip to Tybee Island and stayed here. The house was perfect for our 5 night stay. We had our own bedroom and bathroom and the living room was perfect for all our chatting. Proximity to beach was perfect, just a short walk. Also handy for exploring Savannah. Not a bad drive from Savannah/Hilton Head airport. The unit was very clean. Communication for checking in, etc was great. The instructions for garbage were a little unclear. In one part, it said to make sure all trash was in cans inside unit, but lower down said to put all trash in outside cans.

We enjoyed staying here while visiting the beach and Savannah. The location is convenient to restaurants, shops, beach access and getting back out to Savannah. The home is in a quiet place just a few blocks from the beach. I don’t think anyone was in the first floor rental while we were there. The house is clean and comfortable. We had everything that we needed and greatly enjoyed our stay.

I thought we could go f used some laundry soap. And also some emergency flashlights , there was a big lighting storm that came through. We didn’t have anyway of getting around with no power. Well anyway thanks for the stay

Everything was perfect from the walk to the beach, to the house itself, they have everything you could possibly need for your trip. Highly recommend staying here! Easy check-in and out.

The location is the real gem of this property, only a few blocks down Solomon Ave and you’re at the beach access. Property isn’t brand new but everything is clean and functioning as expected. We had no issues at all, check-in/out were a breeze and never needed to make contact which management company. They did contact us upon arrival to ensure everything was ok but that was our only contact. We would definitely rent this property again and hope it remains a rental!

Thank you for having us at your wonderful vacation rental - Lola’s Retreat. We had been so looking forward to exploring Tybee and Savannah for the week and your accommodations were a hit with all of us. Getting to know the island - we left feeling like Lola’s Retreat was in an excellent location on the island, close to everything. The house itself was well equipped, clean, comfy beds and good WiFi. We all agreed carpet should be replaced as there were stains that I just don’t think will come out and a different carpet with better installation will do the house a lot of good. Other than that, rental team was responsive to our needs and we would certainly stay here again when in the area.

Clean unit. Short walk to beach and walking distance to some eats and bars. Convenience and beach shops at end of street. Quiet area Light house a 13 min walk.

We had never been to Tybee Island. The house was well-located. It was clean, had amenities, and was easy to get in and out of.

We loved our stay! Quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the beach! I wish in the listing it would have mentioned there is a downstairs tenant. We had no issues with them, but it would have been nice to know as we did bring our dog.

The location of this home was AWESOME! Our closest beach access was so nice and not crowded for spring break. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious. My mom, myself, my two teens and our two dogs had plenty of space and lots of fun and relaxation. We will be back!

It was our second time renting this property. It’s fantastic! Plenty of space to relax and enjoy family time. It’s location is a quick walk to the beach and souvenir shops. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is very nice with granite countertops, drip coffee maker, and other small appliances. It could use a few new pots and pans but otherwise has everything you’ll need to whip up a good meal. Our favorite is the wraparound deck and sunroom. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to renting this property again… Soon!

Nice and comfortable stay. We arrived earlier than expected due to weather causing us to have an earlier flight and they were able to get us in 2 hours before check in at no extra cost. Some suggestions I would make for this property is to provide chairs to take to the beach or for events held in town, place some chairs on the front deck to sit out, and it would be an added touch to leave a few pantry staples for guests.

We rented in Tybee because we accidentally confused Tybee with St Simons. We didn't care for Tybee very much and were disappointed in the rental. The unit has a lot of potential, but needs some attention. The rugs were kind of gross and need to be replaced or updated with flooring. The king size bed was comfortable, but our friends complained about the other bed being uncomfortable. Each bedroom needs a second nightstand. There were 2 long dark hairs in the shower when we got there. And the advertised heated pool appealed to us, but after driving by it, we were not interested in using it. We wanted to watch Netflix, but there was no smart tv. There was a remote for a firestick, but no firestick. Communication with Southern Belle was good, but there really wasn't anything they could have done to improve our experience.

We had never been to Tybee Island & this was the first time we had ever traveled so far from home with three young kids (6, 3.9, 1), so we were just so nervous about finding the right place for the whole family. Management was so patient and prompt at answering all my questions. We ended up booking this place because of the free cancelation feature (up to a certain date), heated pool access, furnished kitchen, washer/dryer inside the unit, & its proximity to the beach & lighthouse. Well, this place ended up exceeding our expectations! The only thing was that the heated pool was not quite heated, but we were still happy we had access to this pool. Our kids still had fun! We were glad we could do some light baking & cooking since our young kids didn't really eat well at restaurants, so we ended up buying frozen food from the local IGA market. We appreciated the washer & dryer, too, since our kids got their towels and clothes wet so early during our stay. The master bed (both the mattress & bedding) was super comfortable! We didn't wake up with any weird neck or back pains - we couldn't believe this! We loved the fresh big plush towels, too! Oh we wish we could find out where this house got their mattress, bedding, & towel set from! Location was not within walking distance for our young children (doable for adults, though) to the Tybrisa Street where all the hopping restaurants/bars were located, but this was no problem for us since our young kids were frustrating to deal with at restaurants anyway. So, we were just so happy to find out that Lola's Retreat was an easy 5-minute walk to the beach for us...at the pace of our youngest walker who was not quite 4 years old just yet! We had fun trying to spot turtles in creek on our way to the beach, too! Lola's Retreat was also an easy 15-20-minute walk to the Tybee Island Lighthouse/North Beach/Marine Science Center for our family. It was also a fun walk since we saw the Tybee Island Guard House that had a giant turtle statue with a colorful shell on its porch & also a little playground. Our kids loved the North Beach by the Lighthhouse since there were lots of shells there! We were sad to leave. We would definitely stay here again next time we go to Tybee Island! If a checkout time later than 10 AM was available to us, we would definitely use it next time since it was hard to get out of the door on our last day with 3 young children.

The home was clean, well stocked, and very comfortable. The bedrooms were well accommodated, and we had enough space for everyone. The proximity to the beach and Historic Downtown Savannah were hard to beat. My friends and I had a wonderful stay!

Clean and spacious home. Close proximity to the beach. Only concern being this is a 2nd floor rental of a 2 story house. No mention in the property details. Fortunately for us the first floor rental was unoccupied during our stay.

The house was perfect for a week vacation on the island. It fit the whole family comfortably as well as the dog. Will return.

We were very pleased when arriving, house was cool and clean. Beds sleep great, and location of property close to most stores. We brought 2 boats, so we used the spare space by the building. The only thing, is the bushes need trimming at the entrance. I just bought a new truck and did want to scratch it, we had to hold the bushes back. Overall great place, we will book it next year as well. Thanks

We enjoyed a comfortable stay at this property in May 2021, located in a quiet neighborhood and short walk to a breathtaking stretch of beach, playground for kids, and great island restaurants! Check-in to the unit was a breeze and the host provided ample communication leading up to and throughout our stay. The unit included ample common space for 4 adults and 1 child, all the basic amenities for our families to cook a few nights at the property, and comfortable beds. The deck and carpet in particular are seeing some wear, but overall a great location, ideal for families looking for a quiet getaway!

My friends and I had a great weekend stay at Lolas! The beach was only a 2 minute walk from the condo and there were near by stores and restaurants that were within walking distance. The owners were easy to get in contact with when we had a question. There were extra blankets in the closets. Very spacious place. It was perfect for our group of 6. We had a great time and I’m sure we’ll be back!

This property is spacious, clean, and a great location. It is in a quiet neighborhood which we loved. Nice and close walk to beach and restaurants. We brought our bikes which I would recommend. We biked all over and it was fun. The bonus of having the pool access was so nice. The pool area is beautiful. The locals were so friendly and recommended places to eat. Everything we ate was delicious. The only recommendation is extra kitchen supplies. Storage containers for food, oven mitts, kitchen towels, maybe extra paper towel, or tin foil. We would come to this location again :)
