There is no Jamon on the breakfast in Spanish hotel. It is not critical but disappointed, despite the fact that breakfast very tasty with Champagne included.

This is a wonderful little hotel situated right at the beach. It’s ideal for families with children, it’s kept very well and the standards for quality (in terms of cleanliness etc.) are very high. The interior decor is minimalistic yet modern and neat. The staff is super friendly and we also liked the food a lot, although there’s litlle variety and after a couple of days it becomes very repetitive, especially the breakfast.

The only points for improvement in this otherwise fantastic hotel is the restaurant/bar staff. Especially when ordering meals during dinnertime from the bar staff, there was always something chaotic going on. Either our order was forgotten or it came late or we got something different. This is obviously a system error - even the staff were complaining about the order system (in their tablets) not working correctly, so the communication between them and kitchen staff wasn’t ideal. They were all wonderful people though - always polite and smiling all the time.

please do not make your decision based on the photos! the photos are so beautiful, but in real live it is not a hotel for couples. screaming kids, inflatable animals, jumping kids into the pool.

This description and the higher specific ratings are not for Sofia Alcudia. it is for Las Gaviotas, their sister property. that property would get a 9. But Sofia Alcudia Beach earned a 1 because it’s hard to rate a property you didn’t get to stay at, because your reservation made 6 months in advance was canceled 2 hours before check-in. Since this is the positives part, I will say that Las Gaviotas is a lovely property with great rooms, 3 pools, a nice bar and excellent breakfast and staff. we had a lovely large room with some ocean view although we were 1 block from the water- which is not what we booked or paid for.

Sofia Alcudia Beach called us less than 2 hours before check in time to cancel our reservation, made 6 months in advance and we had come all the way from US. They put us in their sister property whose rooms were not on the beach and cheaper (for the record, Las Gaviotas is a lovely property other than it wasn’t on the beach and wasn’t the hotel we booked). Excuse was that the room at Sofia had had “an incident”, something about tubing (??) and wouldn’t be usable, and sorry no other rooms available. Zero offer to comp anything for the inconvenience and zero acknowledgment that the hotel we were moved to is cheaper, a price difference of a total of $120+ over the 3 days of our stay. Inquiring with locals and a different staff member later, we learned they had overbooked the hotel, and that likely because we had booked with a 3rd party, we had been bumped -so, for those booking through this site, BUYER BEWARE. Booking.com has thus far been unresponsive to our inquiries, so I will not be using them in the future. A vast and unacceptable disappointment.

Hotel Sofia Alcudia Beach is a jewel. It is a chic hotel, located directly on the beach, with a generous swimming pool, restaurant and bar. Our room was actually a mini-apartment with a view of the pool and the sea, the bed was comfortable with quality linens, everything was very clean. The staff is extremely kind and nice, which makes your stay very pleasant. I only stayed 2 nights, I celebrated my birthday, but I will come back anytime. Breakfast and dinner were very good with a variety of products. I want to thank once again all the staff for their kindness and especially Mrs. Marcela Pregetova from the reception, who ordered the cake for my birthday and offered me a lot of help and support.

No storage facilities for bicycles but it wasn’t a problem to take the bike to the room.

Great hotel. Food was super. A really good spot for our first holiday with a 1 year old. Staff were really friendly. The hotel has a lovely pool and is right on the beach. Its a quiet and classy hotel. Highly recommended.

Everyone was happy with the selection / variety of food on offer in the buffet. Breakfast was better than dinner.

Wonderful, quiet hotel, calm and cosy. Just on the beach. In a calm district of Alcudia. 10 minutes walk to the port of Alcudia. Great pool and relax area. Lovely bar near the pool. The room was spacious for 4 people, with a nice balcony and partial sea view. Great white Sangria with cava in the bar!

This property was nice and clean and as pictured in the images. Great location as it is right by the beach, near transport links and local shops & restaurants. Great food too

We stayed on the ground floor and do their were ants making their way into our room from outside but it was quickly sorted once we raised it.

Fantastic staff and great hospitality, amazing food, spacious rooms and wonderful location. This is really a gem. Hotel is rather small, but offers everything you need for a pleasant stay.

Only one pool (not heated). No playground for the kids (but come on - it's 2 meters away from the beach so you don't really need a better playground)

Breakfast was brilliant. Extrem friendly personal. Modern and comfortable rooms with everything needed.

Walls are sometimes a bit sharp eyed.
