I wish we could have stayed longer! We stayed at Borgo Solario during our drive from Rome to Florence. It was an amazing 'pause' between cities. So welcoming... and the view!

beautifully located with amazing views around. apartments well equipped and clean. hosts very nice and helpful. swimming pool clean with shower. good location to visit eastern part of Tuscany and western part of Umbria. the nearest city is Castiglione del Lago at the Trasimeno Lake. Panicale located 6 km from Borgo was also nice for having coffee in the morning or some wine in the evening. we appreciate Borgo for location, peaceful and calm atmosphere and nice apartments with well maintained swimming pool.

What an amazing spot! Hosts are very friendly and communicative. We had a two-floor, two-bedroom apartment with a table, kitchen, and couch, which altogether were perfect for two couples. The property is so quiet and lovely. Incredible value as well.

no cafes or other spots nearby due to its location; would have been nice to have a little coffee or something available in the mornings

travellers beware: GPS will send you from paved road onto farmland and, if it is raining or has rained recently, you might get stuck (our friends did and they were driving a 4x4). Had to get pulled out by tractor next day! STAY ON PAVED ROAD!!!! car park is first right upon entry (again, don't manovre in the open field next to car park to avoid getting stuck). A bit of lighting would help

Beautiful apartment situated in a peaceful and idyllic countryside setting. The owners were friendly and helpful, and we felt very much at home during our stay. We were sad to leave after 12 wonderful days. In short; it was a great base to explore Umbria and parts of Tuscany too!

The staff are exceptional. Michelle, her husband and her mother are great hosts. Then there’s the location. Surrounded by greenery and only a 15min drive away from Castiglione del Lago, it is the perfect getaway for those looking to escape the busy world in search of some peace and quiet.

We travelled with a 3yr old and despite of the fact that the property has a playing room for kids, the apartments aren’t well-equipped for kids of such a young age. Our apartment had a double bedroom on the lower floor and, should we agreed to have our child sleep on his own, his room would’ve been on the top floor by himself. The stairs to go up are quite dangerous for kids of such a young age: the railing is a single rail with no protection if one fell whilst going up the stairs. Kids may easily fall, injuring themselves grievously. The other comment was that we were put in a first floor apartment. We had to constantly tell our son that he can’t run or stomp his feet as he would annoy the people residing the in the apartment below us. A suggestion is that families with children should be placed on the lower floor apartments to avoid being a nuisance to other guests staying there.

Michelle and Sergio are such nice people, and they really want to make sure everything is perfect. All respect for them, because they really work hard. Furthermore, Borgo Solario is such a nice location: the rooms, the environment, the pool, the garden, the games ... Normally we never go to the same place twice, because there is so much to see in the world. But now we are really hesitating, because we had the perfet stay.

The most beautiful apartment I have been to. Italian style apartment decorated with great taste. Swimming pool with beautiful view and a lot of space a round a house to spend time. I am going to visit it once again.

Lovely and peaceful place! We were a couple doing home office the whole week here. The place was perfect. Apartment was comfortable and had everything needed for a independente stay (only miss an oven in the kitchen). WiFi connection works perfectly in all areas of the property. The summing pool is very nice and views from the apartment are amazing. The owners are really helpful and friendly.

You definitely need a car to came here. The city center of castiglione del lago is 15min away and there is nothing around the property (which is nice but be aware of it).

Very laid back place. Were invited to use swimming pool even at night.
