Het vlot contact via sms met onze host Dries (ondanks het feit dat we hem nooit gezien hebben), de centrale ligging in Dinant, het mooie uitzicht vanuit de cafetaria, de gratis koffie in die cafetaria, de ruime kamer.
Helaas was het café 'Le Cerf Vert' gesloten; het zag er nochtans gezellig uit. Maar ik neem aan dat ze dat weekend met verlof waren.
Wij vonden dat de bedden wat doorbogen en de matras dus wat te zacht was.
De douche gaf lekker warm water, maar de straal was vrij zwak.
Een groot nadeel was de kilte in de kamer: we kwamen vrijdagavond rond 21.30u. aan en het was ijskoud in de kamer.
We zouden het geapprecieerd hebben mochten ze de chauffage vóór onze aankomst een paar uur opgezet hebben.
Aangezien het een ruime kamer was en aangezien de chauffage (zelfs op de hoogste stand) nauwelijks opwarmde en dus ontlucht zou moeten worden, kregen we de kamer maar moeilijk warm.
We hebben dit dan ook de ochtend daarop aan Dries gemeld en hij is dan wel een extra verwarming komen brengen.
Samen met de vaste chauffage kregen we het dan toch tegen de zaterdagavond gezellig warm.
We apprecieerden ook echt wel dat hij die moeite gedaan had.

The room is big and there is everything you need.
There is also a cozy guest room, apart from the room number, where you can have your lunch or just drink a coffee

there was renovations going on and the bar /cafe were not available. The Stair wasn’t an issue for us but it would definitely be for some people.

Great location! Enjoyed the self-serve kitchen for drinks and snacks. You just leave cash in your room to pay! Also located above a cafe where you can enjoy a light meal and Belgium beer.

The location was good, not far away from any attractions, yet Dinant is not a big city anyway. The view from the room was quite nice though.
The restaurant downstairs closed too early. We tried three times wanted to have food there and they said the kitchen was closed. A big disappointing.

The room and bathroom were both spacious, warm and clean. The view from the hotel was amazing!

Beautiful location, close to all the attractions. Room size was great, and the shared lounge has a fabulous view of the river.
Communication with staff was not very good. Since it was the off-season, the restaurant was closed and you had to do self check-in. We requested a river view room and did not discover that someone else had already booked the 1 available river view room until we arrived. If we had known that we couldn't eat downstairs at the restaurant, and wouldn't be able to see anything from our room, we might have booked somewhere else...
Not a negative per se, but be aware that you have to climb three flights of stairs with your luggage to get to the rooms.

Dinant is a small place and you can have access to everywhere easily. The room was clean and really big. Although it is big, you can get a good heating. I really like the coffee and tea option in the central place.
No lift. No breakfast and it was difficult to find sth although there is a bakery next to the hotel (if you eat everything)! I had to find a market to find something for breakfast and the weather was -3.

The breakfast is delicious. The scenery is spectacular. The room is very comfortable. Very convenient place to place my bicycle on the ground floor when during the night. The security system of the keylocks have been very useful for security reasons. A perfect place for sight seeing!!!

The accommodation is conveniently located in Dinant, also there are a few free parking spaces nearby, it is convenient that there is a bistro right downstairs where you can have a good meal and spend the evening.
It was a bit difficult to find breakfast, it was low season, but we did find a bakery on the other side of the river, right by the bridge.

Great location, comfortable bed, thoughtful touches: bottled water, mints and chocolates in the room. Good bath towels. Good coffee in the common room.
I would have appreciated hand soap and a washcloth, but I didn't miss them enough to bother asking so I can't really complain.

So easy to find and convenient entry. Free parking on the street nearby that we were lucky enough to get, and closely located to all the major tourist sights.

Room comes with huge and clean bathroom. Although rooms are located directly above the restaurant, it was quiet. There is a common area at 2nd floor overseeing the canal, where you could chill or drink coffee. With the digital lock, getting in and out of the room & building is pretty easy.
Although it is common to have spiral staircase in Europe, one needs to be cautious manoeuvring up and down. The room is without air-conditioning but didn't feel warm during my stay at the beginning of Sep.
