Very simple checkin process - pick up the key from a box with a code and return to the same place, so you don’t need to worry about time. The room was clean with a fridge. Great shared facilities - a full, well equipped kitchen that was kept very clean, which is pretty uncommon in a hostel! Also washing machines with detergent and drying racks available. Nice, clean place with good, shared kitchen. Beds were excellent and it was very quiet. Check-in was a learning experience, and none of this is explained in the Booking.com information. First, there is no one at the building, but there are instructions in Norwegian and English. They have a key storing and dispensing device that requires a code that they provide via email earlier in the day. However, we don't check our email during the day, so we had to go to the central hotel located across the train tracks and obtain the code. The desk clerk was intent on reminding me that a code had been sent, instead of immediately giving me the code with a smile. Not our best check-in process.

Convenient for a stop-over on our way up north. Near everything a traveler could need: gas and groceries. Check in was a breeze thanks to clear and easy instructions! We appreciated the use of technology to make check-in and check-out on our schedule possible without any issue or need to coordinate with/alert the property (checked in very late). Room was functional, comfortable, and very clean. Communal kitchen and laundry areas (washer and drier) were also clean and well equipped, including soap for the washer and dishwasher! Exceeded expectations and would be happy to stay again.

These aren't negatives, just things to note: The front parking lot was filled up when we arrived. We figured out there was another parking lot on the far side of the hotel. After that discovery, we were happy to find the parking lot was right next to a second entrance to the hotel, so access to the hotel was equally as easy from both parking lots. For those with heavy luggage/mobility concerns: back door required going up ~3 steps. I didn't see an elevator inside the building so it may be worth inquiring/requesting a room on first floor. Kitchen had everything we needed (including some spices and condiments!) except we couldn't find a pan - so plan accordingly. There are quiet hours, which are great, but also requires careful planning for use of laundry. We did not see staff at the property so plan to communicate via booking or phone if any issues arise.

The building has 2 floors with rooms. There is a self check in system to access. Every floor has a kitchen and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

There is a private parking but there is not cover and we were on motorcycle

It is simple but has everything you need on a road trip. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Check in was super easy.

It should be mentioned that it is a simple hostel and if you havn't got international cellnr, you have problems getting into the place. I dont know, why they dont use whatsapp or messaging over booking.com

The staff gave me some attitude and accused me of not leaving a phone number so that they could coordinate the key pickup. Which is bizarre because nearly every lodging I stay at is quick to notice that I have a German phone number on my profile even though I am from the US, so this is patent nonsense. The room is also overheated, as another reviewer noted. I could open the window and get some cold air in but this exposed to the noise of passing traffic while I was trying to sleep. All in all, I would rather have just stayed elsewhere than have to put up with this. Literally the rudest customer service I have endured while on my 11,000km motorcycle trip through Scandinavia and beyond.
