Just beautiful. Only complaint was the half the blinds were missing their rods making it difficult to open and close.

The property definitely was a cute little house that was perfect for our girls trip! You are a short walk from a small section of beach that you can lay out on (just nuzzled in between two private beach area so it’s a little snug). Beds were comfy and the kitchen area was good to hangout. Only complaint really was the alarm for the doors outside that aren’t supposed to be turned off. They were SO obnoxiously loud. I do wish the pool was heated at our time of year too. Overall would definitely recommend the house!

The home was exactly what it was listed to be! It was spacious, clean, cozy and was in a quiet location but close to everything we needed and wanted to see or do! It was just right up the block from the beach and walking distance to several little places to see. The only thing that could make this place better would be a little gas firepit on the patio or a hot tub.

Short walk to the beach and the perfect size house for two families with kids. Beach area is small for the area. Short drive to shopping.

The property was as pictured, we were very pleased and we were within walking distance to the beach. The only thing we were disappointed in was the grill outside, it was not clean so we were not able to use it and the lights around the pool were not working, that was very disappointing.

The property was beautiful and a short easy walk to the beach. Plenty of room for our family. The pool and outside space were great! The decor was very pretty. The only complaint I have is the master bed was horrible! The mattresses are on the floor and the mattress had a huge hole in the middle and you would actually roll to the middle of the bed. The last 2 nights I had to sleep on the sofa.

GREAT location and good overall experience. Cozy cottage style home but there is a need for a little "maintenance" / "upgrades" with the exterior doors, screened in porch, and outside pool area in order to stay competitive with similarly priced homes nearby. Our cost was split between all of our party so it made it easier to accept the condition, but if I had all of the cost placed on me I would have questioned the pricing based on the other properties very close by with similar pricing. The specific items to note: Screen was very dated along with the look of the outdoor area. No LED lighting on the outside portion or in or around the pool. The old style "home depot" $9 solar lights were not working and the concrete around the pool although maintained with fresh paint had a large crack that is a potential trip hazzard. Again, it's a cottage house which was nice, roomy, comfortable for our party but the outside is just a little dated. That said, we did enjoy the stay. Nice little cottage, absolutely GREAT location, we enjoyed the short walk to the beach, then back to the house to lounge in the pool. Probably the best part. We'd stay again (if the pricing is good) or split the cost again. For recommendations on how to update the outside area, just look at the house right next to the pool. That's a great example. Oh, parking was good for actually 4 cars which that wasn't stated on the ad but there was plenty of room. Oh, and AC probably needs a tune up.

The property was absolutely beautiful and the location was perfect. The only thing that keeps this place from getting 5 stars is that they really provide you with the bare minimum. 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 single trash bag. In a house that fits 10 people, these things run out/get used up quickly. Having to go out and buy necessities like toilet paper and trash bags on a trip is a little pitiful. This is not a cheap place to stay, so I expected that for the price we paid, we would be provisioned. Also, check out time of 10 am is a little too early. I know it’s only an hour off from the standard 11 am check out, but for people having to pack their stuff, and do all of the cleaning required by the property… an extra hour means a lot.

This house was very cozy neat and comfortable . Would recommend 5 star.

The house was even better than the pics! It was The prettiest and most landscaped house that we saw in the area. Wish we could have stayed for longer to enjoy the beautiful porches and pool. Walk to beach was easy! Ubers easy to get as well.

My now husband and I rented this house as a wedding gift to each other. We went to Destin to get married. This house was just perfect! Very close to the beach, private pool. We loved this house. Also had my bother, mother, sister and her spouse and our 3 year old son staying as well. Everyone had plenty of room! Awesome experience will rent again!

This was a fantastic home to spend Christmas in, a short walk to the beach. Communication with property manager was pleasant and an extremely quick response time.

The pictures shows the exact layout of the home. The home needs a deep cleaning. From dusting to moving the furniture to clean underneath. Removing the cousins to clean couches. We had more things from previous guests than our things.

This house is so beautiful and just feels like home. It is very open, clean, updated, and exquisitely decorated in the beach vibe fashion. My wife, five year old son, and myself absolutely loved our stay here and will be repeat renters of this property. The house is in a great location, it is quiet, and the walk to the beach is super easy. My biggest gripe was that the wifi network that was posted in the house never appeared on any of our devices and we never were able to connect, but we spent most of our time at the beach anyways. Additionally, the Roku TVs are nice (strangely those did connect to the wifi, but on a different network name), but the live TV stations offered are pretty lame, especially if you are looking for sports. My third and final "gripe" is that the kitchen is very randomly equipped. I will probably bring my own cookware next time. All in all this was one of the best beach houses I've stayed at in the Destin area and I can't wait to go back. I also love the guest book that the owners left in the dining room. That is such a unique and lovely idea.

The house is just as it shows in the pictures, beautiful! It was perfect for my family of 4 adults, 2 children and 1 infant. We really enjoyed the private pool! It was so convenient to have a pack-n-play in the house so we didn't have to rent one. The public beach was really busy so we visited other beaches around the area. The beaches near Destin are just gorgeous! The house is in a great location. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

My husband and I stayed for several days and were completely comfortable and entertained despite a rainy week. Particularly enjoyed the screened porch that looks out onto the pool. Would definitely book this property again!

The pros- The house itself was great. Very clean upon arrival, and beach themed. The pool is a must for a beach vacation, although there is no outdoor lighting so it’s very dark at night. The location cannot be beat, it’s in between a ton of bars and restaurants. The cons- They double booked the property, although they got it figured out within a couple hours. They give you the bare minimum amount of bath tissue so if you have more than 2 people you will need to buy more. The unacceptable- Throughout our stay, there were 4 separate occasions of strangers entering the house unannounced. Two were there for repairs which we understand if were made aware. Another time 2 people showed up at 10pm and told us we had to drag garbage cans into the street or we would be fined (was never told we would have to do this). Again this was at 10pm so it was pitch black outside. I brought all these instances to the managers attention, and their response after I was able to get ahold of them was "oh we had no idea, maybe it was a mistake." The house and location is great, but we were a group of woman staying there. In today's world rental property's full of women are often targeted, so if you are one I would stay away.

Everything about our stay was excellent!! We got into town a little early and we’re able to check in with the permission of the owners!! We had to clean up the pool a little but it wasn’t anything major… overall a pleasant experience!!!

Lovely house, and it is a short walk to two public beach accesses. The one at the end of the street has a tiny public space. It’s worth the extra couple of blocks for more beach space. The wagon was great to take our stuff to the beach. We loved the screened porch, and the balconies were great for morning coffee. The house was perfect for our family of 7. The downside of the house is the front load washer is moldy, and three of the four pool lounge chairs were broken.

Sugar Beach Cottage was beautiful and clean. We had a great time and loved having the private pool! The beach was great and the walk there was easy with a wagon. We had a great vacation and would absolutely stay here again. There were only two very minor things that were less than ideal. The washing machine is starting to get a mildew smell to it and the patio furniture is getting a little worn. Neither of these things were a big deal to us, but might be something to keep in mind. Overall, a wonderful experience here!

Overall a great location and nice house. During the peak travel season, the nearby public access beach is a short walk but quite small, so you’re better served renting a private umbrella and chairs if you have a large group. The pool is smaller than it appears in the photos, but a lot of fun nonetheless.

Rental experience was smooth, house was great, great location. Would stay again!
