The property was slightly different than the pictures, the carpet has been replaced which was nice, the outdated wallpaper has been painted over so that looked better (from a far). The property was pretty clean with the exception of the pack and play which had dried food all over it (the result of an inconsiderate guest rather than the fault of the cleaning crew I'm sure since it was put away in a closet). The 2 rooms looking into the living room have been paneled off which is a bit more private but provides no sound barrier so it's quite loud in the upstairs bedrooms. One bedroom fan is so off balance it made a noise too loud to have on. Could use some additional seating (just the small couch and a huge dining table). Lightly decorated for Christmas with a tree which was a nice touch. The roads to get here are very narrow with no guardrails but lots of cabins around were that way. Very close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, cool view of the Ober tram from the porch. Despite it being unseasonable, 4 bears came onto the porch one night! A huge one and 3 cubs which was pretty cool. There were a lot of towels provided which was nice, also a washer and dryer.

Very easy check in, everything was provided as expected. Plenty blankets and towels, kitchen had everything needed to prepare and serve meals. Our children loved the pool table and arcade! The beds were comfortable. The spa on the back porch was a wonderful place to recover after a cold day of skiing up at Ober.

The house was exactly as stated. Owner very easy to contact . Driveway is steep. But we did it just fine. Very short drive to Gatlinburg but be prepared for the curvy narrow road. Overall very happy with this trip and the house .

House is located close to park and town. Beds were comfortable. Shower has good pressure. Two loft bedrooms have been closed off providing better privacy. However, sound still travels to those rooms. Dated wallpaper has been removed, providing a more updated look. Kids had fun with arcade machine (although sound cannot be adjusted or turned off- it was quite loud). We all enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Stairs to house were not so bad.

It was very organized, we got to enjoy the stuff that was in there, this was the third time i went to gatlinburg and we saw bears 3 times, I reccomend this place!

This is a great large chalet that had plenty of room for our party of 7. The property owner responded every time I asked him something. The first night we arrived we were blessed to have a mama & her 3 bear cubs that were absolutely adorable. The mama bear was feet away from my wife & I. One of the cubs stuck his head on the deck. We got to watch them for about a half hour. We also seen more bears down the road. If you want to see bears this is the place. There is an arcade game & pool table that my teenagers loved. I would stay at this chalet again & would definitely recommend it.

Great location Good size for 4 adults 2 children. Owner was extremely communicative. Check in process smooth. We saw a mama bear and her 3 cubs walk through the property very day. Having the hot tub was the best after a long day

This is a beautiful cabin and a wonderful owner. Place is gorgeous, cabin is excellent size and has all the amenities you will need. Owner is very pleasant to deal with and very responsive! Hot tub is hot and nice! BEARS will be seen. If you want to experience nature at the closest……don’t miss this place!

The host was very easy to get a hold of…responded to any and all questions immediately. Great place to stay for entire family…from the pool table and arcade game for my three kids ages 17-20, to the relaxing hot tub that suited my parents in their eighties. All of us found it to be a welcoming and pleasant place to stay while visiting Gatlinburg. We would highly recommend this rental for any family looking to get away from the hustle and bustle.

The property was just as listed. Beautiful views tucked away up in the mountains. The tram literally runs right above the property which was really neat to see. Check in was easy and Walter was super helpful and quick to respond to any issue or question. *if you visit when it snows, 4 wheel drive is almost required. The streets and driveway are pretty steep. Definitely recommend!

This was an wonder trip . We came here before on our honeymoon back in 2014 . And this time was wonderful I loved the changes . I was hoping the tub was still there but the hot tube made up for it. I love there is more beds also before it was only two beds . We all got to sleep comfortably. We will be back

We had wonderful stay here! Communication was smooth and easy. We had no issues while there. The pool table and hot tub were a great way to relax at the end of the day. The decor is definitely a little dated, but we could tell that from the pics and honestly that wasn't a big deal to us. It was overall clean, but could definitely use some sprucing. Doors and walls could use a good scrubbing. I clean for a vrbo property, so I probably notice things others wouldn't. We saw a bear 3 different times in the Chalet Village area, which is a huge bonus to us 😉 Walter was a great host and we appreciate him sharing his property with is!

Other than the city water line breaking for a couple hours this was an amazing place to stay and have a great adventure with family. The property manager was always available and had amazing communication with us when we needed anything or had any question. We also saw 5 baby bear sightings right outside of the place. Thank you for an amazing vacation and next time will be longer for sure.

This cabin was as pictured and as advertised. An older cabin, but clean & comfortable; typical of that area. Beds were comfortable. Lots of bear activity. Six sightings within 200 yards of property in a five day stay, including 4 bear sightings on premises; and we were only at the cabin maybe 3 waking hours per day. Wish list: a measuring cup in the kitchen, a bit more seating in the living room; and in the master bath I couldn’t direct water to the shower & there was no stopper for the tub. But I have stayed in this area many times before and would stay here again.

Also a small juvenile bear came to visit us as we where on the porch. That was all pretty cool to see. Just lots of steps to carry all it things in and out of the house. Owner was very quick to respond to any message I sent. Thanks for sharing your house with my family and I!

The host was very understanding and refunded us for one out of the two nights but it was very disappointing to not have a hot tub. The experience of Gatlinburg isn’t the same without the hot tub. It wasn’t really clean. We found wrappers of food on top of the dryer and washer, some burned curtains and more. Overall and ok place.

We had a great time staying here with our 3 teenagers! Although we didn't spend much time in, it was exactly what we needed when we returned from long days of sight seeing and family adventures.
