Our family enjoyed everything about Casa Carolina. The kitchen had everything we needed, the location was great and we used the pool every day when we got back from the beach. The view can’t be beat! We would highly recommend this villa.

We loved the house. We went out on adventures during the day, but also looked forward to returning to home in the late afternoon for a swim in the pool and to cook a great meal together. Would highly recommend this place.

We had a great stay at Casa Carolina! There was a total of five of us that stayed for a week (me, my wife, my parents and our 7 year old son). From the booking to the departure of the island, everything went smoothly. Great communication between all parties to make a very easy vacation. The property is situated high on a mountainside with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and Coral Bay. It’s location makes it very easy to get anywhere on the island, especially Coral Bay and the beaches. After long days on the beaches or on a boat, the pool was a perfect place to hang out. Even just relaxing on the large porch that wrapped around half the house was a good way to end the day! The villa kitchen is well stocked with all the tools needed for any meal during the day. There is even a new gas grill located on the pool deck. Plenty of space in the beautiful kitchen or living room to hang out or prepare for the day. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice and spacious and made for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this property to any family or group of friends looking to rent on St. John! We can’t say enough about this property and hope to be back soon!

House was amazing. We were reached out to promptly after our plane landed and greeted when we arrived in St. John. Home is located on the quieter side of the island about a 25 minute drive from the ferry. The roads are steep, narrow and windy, take you time and you will have no problem. House was very clean and well equipped. The view from the 2nd floor pool and deck is out of a post card. As a previous review stated you never get sick of the view. We would enjoy breakfast on the deck and afternoon swim and cocktails by the pool after visiting one of the many bays. Night time star gazing with many stars and shooting stars. Hosts were very responsive and although we really didn’t need anything they did get back promptly with any questions. House has beach chairs and a cooler for use during the stay which was really nice. 5 minute drive to the restaurants in Coral bay. Did not eat a bad meal in coral bay, must eats are rhumb lines, skinny’s, miss Lucy’s and johnny lime bbq. Also must hit on the way back from the beaches is daisy drive shaved ice. Delicious! Very short drive to Maho Bay, which is one of our favorites. Home has adequate signage, no problem finding after initial tour. Only thing worth mentioning on the home is to go back and forth from the bedrooms to the main level is that you have to go outside and up/down exterior staircase. The bedrooms are on the lower level and do have their own locked entrances from the lower terrace. This setup isideal for two couples sharing the house, may not be ideal for a family with small children. We managed just fine with our 7 and 10 year olds that shared the guest bedroom. Plenty of lighting and no issues navigating at night. We would not hesitate an will book this house again for our next trip to St. John. We have traveled to many Caribbean islands and st John , coral bay now tops the list. Would highly recommend this house and hosts.

My family loved our week at Casa Carolina. The house was perfect for our family of four and ideally located to enjoy St. John beaches and hiking trails. The view from the deck was absolutely beautiful!

Really special place. We booked this place for the view, and we were not disappointed. It never stopped astounding us. The outdoor space by the pool is so open, yet feels very private. The kitchen is well stocked with quality cooking utensils, stone dishware, etc. The sofa is surprisingly comfortable. The property runs on solar so you're not affected by St. John's notoriously unreliable power grid. Driveway wasn't as bad as I was expecting given all the reviews on it -- with a 2 door Jeep we could drive straight up no problem. The place was very clean, inside and out-- like, very clean. This place is taken care of and it shows. Nice provided pool towels and even chairs to use for beach trips. Now for the few things we didn't love (but weren't major issues at all): - There is no indoor access between the bedrooms and main living area. Maybe it was, but I didn't remember reading anything about this on the listing. It was only an issue for us when we wanted to go between the kitchen/living room and the bedrooms after dark. St. John has a lot of bugs, so you get pretty mobbed and have to try and keep the bugs and mosquitos out each time you open the door. - The bedrooms, which are on the lower level, have a bit of a musty smell going on. There are a few deodorizers around, but they weren't really cutting it. - The pillows on the beds have no redeeming qualities. I can't think of a way to spin anything positive on them. Very small and flat, which was surprising given the quality of many other things in the property. By the end we were pretty stoked to sleep on our own pillows and bed at home. - Personally we really didn't like the process of having to meet with a greeter at a different location on the island first who we then followed up and gave us a tour of the property. I can understand that maybe the place would be hard to find for some if you don't have GPS, but we didn't see any value at all from the greeter. It just delayed us being able to relax after traveling. Would be awesome if that was optional. - Living room TV is quite small. I know that sounds like a lot of negative, but on a property so great the few things that aren't perfect tend to stand out. We absolutely loved our stay.

Very clean and all brand new a lot of open space in living room area. Deck surrounds the home breathtaking views. Pool was a huge plus.

Our family loved every moment of our stay. Views and atmosphere were amazing, better than pictures. Perfect place to have a morning coffee and relax by the pool after a long beach day.

The house, pool, views and amenities were perfect. One thing to note is that the bedrooms have exterior entrances. It was not a problem for us, but if you have small children this may not work for you. We hope to return to Casa Carolina in the future!

We had a wonderful time in St. John and the villa was just perfect for our family. Clean, well stocked, attentive mgmt. could not ask for more.

The property is really great. The kitchen is well stocked. We loved the location. It's on the quieter side of the island, but the drive over to the Cruz Bay side isn't too far and you have pretty quick access to the north side beaches. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property that was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 daughters ages 10 and 8). Felt very safe and secluded. Great location with a gorgeous view of Coral Bay! The pool was the ideal spot to unwind after days spent snorkeling and sandcastle building at the amazing beaches. We loved our time at Casa Carolina!

Where do we begin… Casa Carolina was simply amazing and we can’t wait to go back! Starting with check-in, Kyle met us at the Cruz Bay ferry dock, picked us up and drove us to the Jeep rental. From there, we followed him to Casa Carolina. He was super friendly and always available if we needed anything. The house was beautiful, endless views of Coral Bay from any room. Everything was extremely clean and there were lots of towels in every room which was nice. They had everything from beach chairs to snorkel gear to beach towels. I wish we would have spent more time at the house but we were out exploring the island as much as possible. Every night we would end up for a swim in the pool and enjoy a cocktail on the deck. The driveway is super steep but you get used to it after a few times. Can’t recommend this place enough to friends and family.

Casa Carolina was the perfect home base for our vacation on St John. My husband and I have been visiting St John for 11 years. This trip, we introduced my husband's oldest niece and husband to celebrate her retirement from being a teacher in public schools. Her sister joined us as well. Afternoons were spent enjoying the views of Coral Harbor from the pool and deck. Pleasant quick drives to the North Shore beaches by day, as well as the convenience of dining out in Coral Bay restaurants at night. The house is well appointed for a vacation rental. The things missing were things we were used to finding, likely left behind by other travelers over years of visits- binoculars, playing cards from a variety of locations, snorkel books with notes jotted in the margins of what species were seen in what Bay. None of these things are essential obviously, but something my husband and I always enjoyed finding. But the views of Coral Bay - even at night seeing the lights of the houses sprinkled throughout this sleepy island paradise were mesmerizing. The driveway is steep, as most are. I never mastered the initial switchback to get into the drive but managing the second easily a couple of days into the stay. Enjoy your stay at Casa Carolina as much as we did! It was worth the wait!

We just got back from staying here for one week. The views here are even more amazing than what is shown in the photos. The villa was perfect, clean, spacious and had everything that we needed. The location was perfect and just a short drive to the North Shore beaches and to Coral Bay. This villa made our trip AMAZING!!! We could not have picked a better property!

Absolutely a 12/10! We loved our stay and couldn’t have chosen a better location. The view is beyond incredible and the photos do not do a justice. Everything is new, clean, and in great condition. The bedrooms are spacious and both balcony areas are very large, as is the pool! We spent mornings at different beaches and every afternoon at the pool. Having beach towels, beach chairs and coolers to use during our stay was a huge plus. It made beach days so much more enjoyable! We loved being on the quiet side of the island and the drive to north shore beaches was just as close as if you stay in Cruz Bay. The owners and all workers are extremely helpful, kind and friendly. Look no further, you will not be disappointed! We’re already missing this Paradise home.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Carolina! We prefer the quieter side of the island, so we always like to stay in Coral Bay, but the drawback is usually the longer ride to the north shore beaches. This lovely property has a location that can't be beat, as it is very convenient to get to the road to the north shore. The property itself is just lovely. We had many dinners on the beautiful covered deck overlooking Coral Bay, and it was so great to be able to jump in the pool after a day on the beach. The management company was terrific and very responsive any time we needed them. We would book this property again in a heartbeat!

The home exceeded our expectations and our long awaited trip to St. John was worth the wait. So happy we finally got there.

Every aspect of Casa Carolina exceeded our expectations. There is such attention to detail from the landscaping to the furnishings. The view is breathtaking! We spent our days exploring the spectacular beaches of St. John & returned to the house for late afternoon swims & cocktails by the infinity pool. Then cooking dinner in the well equipped kitchen & enjoying the sun going down & the lights twinkling in Coral Bay. Lisa cheerfully met us even though we arrived much later than expected, guided us to the house & graciously spent time acquainting us with the house & the island. This is a house to make memories in. After hours of research we chose Casa Carolina & we are so happy we did!!

We had a great stay at Casa Carolina. It was clean, comfortable and well located. Layout was great, kitchen well stocked with equipment, and view was stellar. We'll be back!

Loved every minute! Beautiful house and the view was amazing.

Pros: Great views, clean pool, kitchen items available, spacious, newer home, owner communication great, laundry is nice to have, ac was working well in all rooms, internet worked sufficiently. House design works well for privacy in each room with separate bathrooms. Provided beach snorkeling gears. Cons: requires excellent driving skills to be able to park without damaging the car. Driveway is extremely steep and narrow. House is hard to find at night. Floor drain by the pool wasn’t cleaned, so the debris blocked the water splashes from draining properly. We cleaned it ourselves and it worked fine after. The dressers and side tables in all rooms were super dusty, floors were not cleaned, the decorative bed pillows in the master room smelled unwashed. Thankfully the rest of the bedsheets and standard shams were fine. The remote owner was very nice but the on-site managers were hard to reach & replies slowly unless prompted by the owner. No microwave in the first days and had to convince the property manager to give us a working one. WiFi works well upstairs only not downstairs rooms. Trash is responsibility of guest or you will be charged for leaving it in the can. Overall, great amenities, nice owner, property manager needs improvement but otherwise, a good stay!

Had a great time at this home. Check in was seamless and home was perfect for our family of four. Pool and main floor were bigger than expected (pictures don’t do them justice) and view was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Just wow! My family and I were so excited to visit St. John and to stay at this property. Leading up to our vacation, Tori provided much needed information, then met us in Cruz Bay, took us to the property and was extremely helpful. The, from enjoying our breakfast looking out at the amazing views to enjoying a nice cocktail in the evening, we could not have picked a better house / location. We enjoyed the quieter side of St. John yet we were still very close to everything. My family and I agree this was a very special place and can't wait to return!!!

We stayed at this home for 12 nights in June. This was our first visit to St. John & I am so glad that I selected the Coral Bay area vs. Cruz Bay simply because I like the quiet/Laid back nature of the Coral Bay area vs. the busier Cruz Bay area. Let me start by saying the view from the house is absolutely incredible. I could not get enough of the view. Every time I went outside I would just take it in. You are sitting high up on the hill/mountain overlooking Coral Bay. It's simply amazing. Six of us stayed in the house & we were very comfortable. Four adults & two teens. The house has two bedrooms (both on the lower level) and a pull out couch on the main floor (where the kids slept). You must go outside to get from the main floor to the lower floor with the bedrooms. This is not an issue unless it's raining, but to be honest it was never a problem for us. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed & a spacious bathroom with double vanity & a shower. The beds were very comfortable. The second bedroom has a queen bed with an attached bathroom, but the shower for this room is outside on the balcony. Our friends stayed in this room & they enjoyed having an outdoor shower.We cooked several meals at the house & had almost everything that we needed minus a few different spices that we had to pick up at Love City Market just down the road. The house has enough plates & bowls for six people, but we found that we were constantly washing dishes because there were not enough dishes for the next meal. I mentioned this to the property manager & she said that she would suggest to the owners about getting more. We used the outside grill twice and it worked out great for us.We loved eating breakfast on the deck overlooking the valley & Coral Bay. It was also nice spending time in the pool while taking in the view.The house was stocked with beach chairs & snorkel gear (enough for 6 of us). They also had a cooler that we used, but I recommend buying a backpack style cooler along with a portable beach tent. I brought both with me & I am so glad that I did. It made our days at the beach that much more enjoyable. The house has A/C units in each bedroom & on the main floor which kept us cool at night. However, we did experience 4 power outages. The house is not on a generator. Only one lasted all night. Most of the others were resolved within a matter of a few hours. I highly recommend this home & hope to return again soon. We truly enjoyed it!
