Was very disappointed that SH166 was not available for April 2025. Have been coming to Summerhouse for over 20 years and rented unit 166 for 10 years in a row or more. Also members of my family and friends have rented from Summerhouse over the years. I would have appreciated a call asking if i would be wanting to rent unit 166 in 2025

We have been staying at Summerhouse for about 40 years, on and off, so we have a good platform to rate this unit. It was a lovely unit - except for the mattresses and the living room furniture. The mattresses in two of the bedrooms were unlike anything I have ever seen soft you could not get out of them without help. I think someone put a pillow top on to try to cover up a bad mattress. The living room furniture looks good in the photo, but both the sofa and the loveseat have very little cushioning...on the sofa you can actually feel the hard metal support underneath. This unit would be really good if it were not for these two very important issues. Like it is, the unit was not worth the money we paid for it.

We loved our rental, but the check in experience was awful. All Saturday check ins had one hour before the office closed. Has to be more organized with some system to let the office know when rentals are available and those people can go ahead and check in. In the past, we have been able to get in earlier and the office staff was very accommodating. Something needs to be changed by next year to make this a smoother process.

This condo is beautiful, spacious, and perfect for our family. The only negative thing was initially when running the water a horrible rotten egg smell filled the whole place up. After the hot water was ran for awhile and time passed, the next day it was just fine. It was a beautiful vacation and we love staying at Summerhouse. This unit had everything we needed and we will stay here again.

My family has been staying at Summerhouse since 1983. Unit 166 was one of the most beautiful and well equipped units we have ever stayed in. We were disappointed that the dishwasher wasn’t working for most of our trip and that it took three days to get it fixed. Especially after being told it hadn't worked properly in eight months. For what we paid we shouldn’t have to worry about doing dishes on vacation. Other than that it was perfect.

I slipped off my sneakers right after we checked in and was putting up groceries. My socks were filthy black! Although there were no apparent grains of sand or dirt, the entire floor had not been mopped in I don't know how long. Also saw waterbed roaches all over the flat. We loved the location and the beach, but this property needs a deep cleaning and spraying for bugs/

Also we noticed many cobwebs under the TV cabinet in LR. The attention to these details were surprising as the unit was overall pleasant. The master bedroom window lock is broken which presents a security issue

Overall the condo is spacious and easily maneuvered. Too much furniture packed into 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. Small guest bath to accommodate 2 bedrooms. Removing the shower/toilet room door would help. Queensize bedroom small with furnishings packed in there; no window. Kitchen well equipped. Love the dining area. More area rugs would be nice. Plenty of towels on hand. Beautiful countertops with new appliances. Overall a nice stay.

Always a good time at Summerhouse. Been part of our summer for over 20 years. We've been in this condo for the last several years. The only issue i have is that the beds are really not comfortable, even in the master, although it's better than the others. Paying $2500 rent for a week, i really think they need to do better. Otherwise happy.

A group of girlfriends from high school, some even before that, have visited this condo several times over the years. The picture of the condo you see here has been redecorated. We loved it before and love the new decor, also. This condo is very clean and we're an older group - very picky! The atmosphere at the condo site is low key and quiet. The grounds are beautiful. The location of this condo is perfect. It's an end unit, not far from beach access. The kitchen is stocked. The only thing missing this time were beach towels and beach chairs. We always bring our own, so it wasn't an issue. Usually, those items in a rental are ratty anyway. The management is great, very helpful. St. Augustine is nearby. The shopping is fabulous and restaurants are the best. We will return!We are Floridians and enjoy beach weather in Sept and Oct. MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS THROUGH THE CONDO MANAGEMENT! I took my husband once and went through vrbo. The condo we got was up a long flight of stairs, then into a town home with more stairs. Lugging up the coolers, food, suitcases, etc., was really hard for us - not so young people.

Great location
Can see beach from patio. Definitely beach front. The boardwalk was only a few steps away, very convenient. I would have left a 5 star review however, the a/c stopped blowing cold air. I called maintenance and they were there in 20 min. Fantastic response time. Tech removed furnace filter and it was dirty. Hadn’t been changed in 14 months. That “fixed” it for a day. Our last day/night the temp was 78 inside. I feel this is an owner issue rather than Summerhouse. The beach and surrounding area were excellent.

Immaculate, nicely decorated condo with a beautiful ocean view. The only down side were the marshmallow mattresses. None of us liked them.
