This property is close to the train station and town centre which was perfect for commuters.

It was very very basic. The sink was dirty, bed linen tired and owner inflexible.

Clean, nice shower room.

The towels were rough and smelt very damp. The material the bed linen was made out of wasn’t nice. It had a communal kitchen and it looked like people were long stayers so it felt more like a house of multiple occupation rather than a guest house.

Very noisy until around 12:30. I leave for work at 7:00am so not much sleep time.

‘Double’ bed was nowhere near a double. Only 1 pillow on each bed in spite of one being a ‘double’. No batteries in TV remote, so TV unusable. Only 2 teabags for 2 people / 2 nights.Not replenished each day. No shampoo. No cold water. Milk sour (even tho UHT). Booked this in a hurry due to family emergency without reading reviews. Having read them I can’t think how it has an average rating of ‘good’. Luckily, it being a holiday I think we avoided most of the things complained about as there seemed to be no one else staying in the place. It was very clean but it was very basic accommodation made worse by the faults above. Would not return.

It was sufficiently clean

Back door was often left open by other guests over night. Rather than being greeted by the host I had to find the key hidden by the back door. Felt very shady
