Gorgeous property, immaculately decorated and spotlessly clean. Family room was huge. Very comfortable accommodation, my daughter wanted to stay all week!

Electrics to our room tripped in the middle of the night. We only had a lamp on and a laptop charging. Apparently it’s a common occurrence. Made getting ready early in the morning a little tricker. Not the hosts fault at all but trucks barrel past in the middle of the night, making the family room at the front quite noisy. Just something to be aware of when booking if you are a light sleeper / have kids.

Gorgeous location with great views. Loved the welcoming setup of the property and little touches that made it more personal.

We didn’t get the confirmation about which room we were in but a quick call and it was easily resolved. Everything else was exactly what what wanted.

Butterchurn was very clean, the breakfast tasty and the women serving breakfast were both very friendly and made us feel welcome.

It was quite cold in the evening/overnight (despite using their portable heater) so thankful we’d brought a blanket and hot water bottle! The walls are extremely thin so could hear everything the guests in the next room said - unfortunately for us there were loud drunk wedding guests next door on our 2nd night (who set off the fire alarm). It seems most guests are wedding guests so wouldn’t recommend it if you need a decent night’s sleep on a weekend. The fire alarm went off in the night and no staff stay on site, so we were all phoning the owner for a while before given instructions on turning it off. Doesn’t seem safe if there was an actual fire (no one to say how many guests should be there/anyone unaccounted for).

Breakfast was freshly cooked and staff were flexible when it came to dietary needs.

It was a little expensive. However, considering the location, it wasn't outrageous.

We loved our stay. Fabulous location, and excellent room with everything we needed and a delicious breakfast.
