can hear the waves crashing from the unit; excellent view and easy access to a wonderful, family friendly beach; unit was clean and well stocked; small kitchen but suited our needs; management was very responsive; beds were very comfortable; unit felt a little dated and getting worn but was cozy and comfortable.

While the location and view are hard to beat, the appearance and upkeep are definitely lacking. Because of where this is located, renting will probably never be a problem. However, some updating, renovation and care by owners would go a long way. The property is very dated,

It was exactly as described on both the listings as well as the previous reviews. Really worked well for our family.

We stayed here 20 years ago and loved it! We still do. There are some boards on the deck that need to be nailed back down. Better outdoor lighting on the lanai would help with access. A notepad and pen would also be useful. Eventually the carpet could be replaced. Whenever we had questions or a problem you fixed promptly! Mahalo.

Unit was not as advertised. Was dirty and in very poor repair. Peeling paint, rusted appliances, filthy carpet, worn furniture and bedding. Property manager was wonderful and moved us to another property in the same area where we were able to enjoy our stay. This property should not be offered before it has extensive updates and cleaning.

Like everyone else has said, the location is great. Disappointed when we booked that we didn’t have access to Marriott pool and amenities. Kitchen and appliances are very dated. Bugs on the ceiling in bathroom. If you can get over those issues, then it’s a good stay. Location, deck, and view helped us overcome issues inside the unit.

Agree with other reviewers that this property is in need of an update, but we embraced it and LOVED the view & location. House gives off retro vibes. Recommend a deeper cleaning for now - lots of ledges and shelves that were in need of wiping down. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the sunsets were beautiful.

This is not the same place as the pictures. Very outdated, very dark inside. Needs update.

This place is a great location. The initial impression was that it looks a bit bigger and more modern in the photos than in person. The deck is wonderful, the place is quiet and comfortable with all the amenities you need. Can't beat the location. A bit of updating is needed but didn't affect the quality of our stay.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights. While there is not much to do in Lihue, it was easy for us to explore the entire island as it was an easy drive to both Waimea and Hanalei. The condo was in good condition, if a little dated, with great views for sunset. Check in was a little tough at night, as it was not clear from the booking that this was on the lower level, but, overall, we would recommend this rental for anyone that has never been to Kauai and wants a central location that is convenient for exploring the entire island.

We liked the great views and the a very comfortable rental with all the Amenities you need in the unit. Will come back again.

We'll stay here again if we ever get back to Kaua'i! Perfectly situated between Waimea Canyon and the North Shore, this location allows you to see the whole island easily. The house sits on a ridge, overlooking the bay where you can watch surfers, hover-boarders, and the sunset from the front deck. The AC in the house was a blessing, though the place needs a few more lights in the living room, and the carpets could be replaced. That being said, we weren't in Hawai'i to sit in a living room! The beach at the end of the bay is easily accessible after a short walk and elevator ride, put in place for the Marriot Resort that fronts much of the bay. An excellent added convenience that made the stay feel luxurious! We had a great week!

Great Location! This is an older property located right on the beautiful cove. Close to Dukes Restaurant that we loved. It was probably 90 degrees inside when we checked in to the unit which was very disappointing. After cleaning the filters and leaving until the unit cooled down, the AC worked fine. The unit is small and quaint but worked well for our needs.

We loved the location as it was central to the North and South part of the island and the view was fantastic. The condo was fine but they rearranged the living area so it did not look like the pictures. I would have preferred the arrangements that the pictures displayed. (not that big of a deal) There was a mistake made with the listing as they had advertised unlimited access to the Marriott beach and tennis courts but apparently that ended in 2020. After being kicked out of the pool, I called the management office and initially all I was offered was an apology. I had to email my proof of the false listing and text messages I had sent them 2 weeks prior to my arrival inquiring about the pool amenities to which they never responded before they offered me a small credit. They were very friendly when I spoke to them.

Stay was nice. But had some instances of dead...and alive cockroaches. I was able to contact the property manager and they took care of it. Only salt and pepper to cook with, but grocery stores are close by. Also, it states "Special access and unlimited use of the adjacent Marriott's Beach Club, Health Club, Pool, Fitness & Tennis Facility" but that was false, it was a huge reason on why we booked that location since it didn't have a pool we could use that one. They said they took it off of all websites, but as I checked as of today 08/08/2022, it's still there. Overall, it was nice but definitely misleading.

This is a great location overlooking the bay/harbor with nice shops, restaurants, and rental facilities close by. It's also close to the airport and about midway between Waimea Canyon to the West and the beautiful beaches on the north part of the island. The staff in charge of coordinating the rental are exceptionally friendly and provided great communication. The unit itself is a little worn and outdated, but the view from the balcony makes it a great value.

Perfect location and size for us - two couples island hopping. We were close to the airport and many attractions. We easily accessed the rest of the island from this location. The view of the harbor was lovely.

Pros: location is fantastic with easy access to pictured beach. Good supply of pots and pans. 4 beach towels and 2 boogie boards. Laundry facility. Great communication and help from the rental team. Beautiful views from the deck. Cons: just a couple things that kept it from getting 5 stars, but I would still stay here again. Some mold on the shower curtain. No basic amenities like salt or cooking oil. No beach chairs or cooler. Things that are very common in VRBO rentals. Just understand this is a basic beach cottage and not a 5 star resort and you’ll be good to go.
