My family and I absolutely loved our stay. Great location and view. Plenty of space for surfboards and parking. Highly recommend.

There were 6 of us for a Family Vacation ranging from toddler to grandparents. View is fantastic and location is great. Close to market and restaurants for great food options. Location is perfect for small drives to amenities. Only downside is property is in need of some updating, but would still recommend.

The pictures don’t quite do the setting justice. Both the main level and Master Suite balconies have floor to ceiling windows/doors. This unit was spacious for a family of four adults with plenty of room to spread out. The location is a short walk to the beach, groceries and restaurants. We hope to return to this same unit again!

This was a first experience and a very positive one. I was impressed with the decor and quality of kitchen appliances.

We just spent a week at this amazing home over the 4th of July holiday. It was the perfect spot for me, my husband and 2 teen daughters. The views are stunning - the pictures online don't capture how expansive and unobstructed the ocean views are from both inside and outside on the bottom and top decks. As a frequent summer renter in the area - it is rare to have such wide of an open direct ocean view unless directly on the water (which a limited stock and a whole different price point). Cardiff is nestled right between Solana Beach and Encinitas - two of our favorite spots. While you could walk to the beach - that would have been a bit of a haul with all our gear. Our teens insist on Moonlight beach anyway for the young action - it was an easy 5 min drive and the home had 4 beach chairs and 2 boogie boards for beach fun. The decor is well done modern coastal and the master bedroom is huge with a very comfortable bed. There "could" be a 3rd bedroom, but it is really just a pull out couch in the open den right off the master bedroom (this was clearly advertised - so we were not surprised - our two teens shared the room on the first floor with their own bath). The home is a duplex townhome, so there are neighbors right next door - but there was no residual noise (just general outside neighborhood noise typical of the densely packed SoCal area). The decks on top and bottom do directly border the neighbor and could probably benefit from some plantings to provide a bit of screening privacy, but the lovely owners next door were never out on their patio with the exception of the 4th of July fireworks - so we were not bothered by this and when we did meet them, they were delightful. Finally - for my AZ friends, this home has AC which is not common in ocean view homes that have coastal breezes. But us Zonies do love to sleep with AC - although I will say since the home is set up on the hill, you are far from the coaster train and have zero train noise (and there is no horn stops in Cardiff like the stops in Encinitas and Leucadia) and could keep windows open all night. Property is managed by a local property management company who provided great information in advance of our arrival, was responsive to questions when we arrived and open to post stay feedback that we provided (no issues - just items to take a future stay from great to extraordinary). We plan to come back here next summer!

Location was amazing. House was very nice. Missing a bunch of pantry items most Vrbo houses have, but other than that no complaints! Disappointing we had family close by but they weren’t allowed to visit because 6 max in the house, but we knew that ahead of time.

There was a small ant problem, which we could tell they were treating with traps and doing their best. However, it was hard to sit on the couch without finding one. The upstairs shower had terrible water pressure, but the downstairs was good. Overall, we didn’t spend a ton of time here since the people we were in town to see we’re not allowed over because it exceeded the 6 person max rule.

WOW factor with the ocean views, this alone made our stay worth it for our anniversary. The place was super nice, spacious, quiet, and close to shopping and beaches that made our stay even better. Well done Surf Style management. - Griff and Kelly

Location, open floor plan, views from balconies superior, pleasant updated furnishings, however all repair issues were not met, mainly the dishwasher and complimentary mid month cleaning never materialized. All in all we gave it 4 stars and would stay again

We fell in love with Cardiff by the sea and this idyllic rental. Wonderful relaxing space. Stunning view. Both the beach and the Seaside Market area are a quick walk or drive away. Highly recommend!

My wife and I love it so much we asked the owner if they would sell it. The house, views, location, and hosts did not disappoint. We could stay here forever, so sad to leave but looking forward for our next visit. Fred and Tina Soltero

BUT…it was a head scratcher. There were SO many opportunities to easily improve the stay, but it seemed they are literally trying to save pennies. The cleaning was sub-par, and definitely did not feel Covid safe. We used our wipes to clean kitchen surfaces and tables that were not cleaned - ewwww. Bring your own TP (literally- they use the cheapest 1/2 ply possible). Bring your own soap (they provide a motel throw away bar). Bring your own kleenex too. The kitchen was very weak - the cheapest possible (near impossible to use) wine opener and really old stuff, cheap, or non-existent essential items. It would not cost much to make the stay much more comfortable and convenient. It was cool out which was good since there was no air conditioning and no umbrella on either patio. We slept with the sliding doors open for air, but it was loud car noise and barking dogs. The neighbors were really nice, but they are RIGHT there on each side. We didn’t mind this, but a consideration if you want privacy.
