Spacious house in quiet neighborhood in Kernville. You can visit the shops in town, take a kayak on the river Kern or go to the South part of sequoia national monument (which is further away than Apple Maps thinks). The house is clean, beds are comfortable and shower was good. AC is a swampcooler, which means you can leave your windows open which I love. Inside temp around 78F. Washer and dryer in working order.

More clothing hangers No kitchen towels or dish cloths so washing the dishes was slightly uncomfortable. Internet went on and off but was town problem, my cousin had G’s Bath towels were smelly, I think a previous guest nicely folded a used one. We washed them and it was solved. Owner is going to provide new ones because also stained. Looks like people cleaned more than themselves with it!

the front porch has a great view of harly mountain.nice and roomy and clean.bed was very comfortable as were the couches.

Wi-Fi didn’t work.

The location of the house to downtown was perfect for Whiskey Flat Days (President's Day Weekend) with all the festivities within walking distance. It's the reason we chose the location. The house is in need of some updating but was clean. The outside table and gazebo was a great place to barbeque and hang out. The heater worked fine at keeping us warm at night. There's enough room for six adults to not feel crowded. Questions and concerns were addressed in a timely manner.

I suggest checking out the kitchen prior to planning your meals or bring your own cooking supplies. We brought some of our own supplies but didn't think we'd need a baking pan or cookie sheet. There is no dishwasher but your expected to wash, dry and put away the dishes you used prior to checking out. This would not be a problem is there was perhaps a drying rack or adequate kitchen towels to do so. Paper towels and toilet paper were short on supply, we had to purchase more. With two beds being full size it's difficult to sleep six adults if your not accustomed to sleeping together in such "close quarters." We did bring extra bedding just in case and it was put to use. The wifi did not stream well on our devices.

The house was big with plenty of space, good location.

Seemed clean but many of the dishes or pots and pans were dirty or had food from past guest. I would recommend taking your own cooking supplies if staying here. Also there was glass cups that were super fragile and when washing them they would snap and shatter. Our last night we had a bat come into the living room area so i’m assuming they have bats living in their attic, we had all the doors closed so it seemed like it came in and went out through the ceiling vents. Not something i want to deal with while on “vacation” especially when there’s kids staying as well.
