The property was beautiful; lots of deer, birds, etc. to watch. Setup of house was very nice. There would be only one thing I'd change. My husband and I are older and came with our kids and grandkids. Desc online does not mention anything about there being very steep stairs to go down to get to the front door. If I had known this, I wouldn't have selected the property just because of our age. There was no railing and steps were primarily made of stone. So everytime we left or came home we had to have assistance getting up and down the stairs. It was quite difficult for us. I wish there had at least been a railing. So I think that should just be mentioned in the listing so that people know. But otherwise, it was clean and beautiful. Owners were so nice in answering any questions we had and answered emails or texts immediately. Overall, it was very convenient and nice.

overall it was a great property; nicely furnished, great views, very comfortable. i was a bit surprised that the house seemed a bit small but worked well for 7 people. not sure i would push to 12. wildlife on the property was great to see. the entry area is a bit difficult to navigate if you have elder or unsteady guests but for us... it worked well. The view at this home is unmatched. My teenagers really enjoyed feeding and watching the deer and birds. we've been to Concan many times but never experienced a view like this one. The home had everything you need! All of the beds were very comfortable and cozy décor!

Breathtaking views and peaceful. We loved our weekend at this house and really enjoyed feeding the deer and hummingbirds. It was a spectacular weekend.

We had a great time. The house was perfect. Great location on the very top of mountain with awesome views. Close to town and activities. Fully stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Clean, excellent communication and check-in details, and the view is worth it. If anyone in your group has trouble with steps, there are a few going down into the property but they are not bad and it is a beautiful entrance to the home. This is perfect for a couple or a family (or two). We will definitely be back.

Rental of this property is exceptional because the owners are wonderful to work with. Every detail of the property is well thought out and it’s unique setting makes for a wonderful getaway!

We had a wonderful time enjoying the amazing views from the decks at Bethel! The house was very well equipped and was conveniently located to public River access at Seven Bluffs and to Neal’s. We went during off season so cooking at home was a good plan since we had very limited restaurants available to us. I would recommend arriving before dark for your first night since the steep drive up the hill can be a little difficult. The kids couldn’t decide which beds to sleep in- the bunks or the loft- so they rotated and slept in all of them! Lots of games and movies. Lots of fun for the whole fam! *There are a few steep steps down to the house from the street parking and the deck has two levels with stairs*. So that is something to keep in mind for elderly guests or families with babies. Although, there is a gate off the main deck that blocks access to the staircase down to the second deck below. We would definitely book again!

Super easy process

This property is spectacular! The house had plenty of space for our party and had everything we could need for a relaxing weekend in Concan! The home had the added bonus of being near everything in Concan, plenty of restaurants, multiple river crossings, The Frio Bat Tours, and more was within a 10 minute drive, however the house feels like it's in its own private oasis away from the crowds when you're enjoying the amazing views from the deck! Angie was very communicative and helpful! We hope to be back again and again!

Hosts were super friendly and really went extra mile. Deck and views are amazing. Nice, well outfitted property close to everything in Concan and Leakey. Drought conditions in the area but didn’t impact our stay due to hosts. Recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bethel! This property is everything and more. We came during the drought and we are so happy we didn’t cancel our trip after seeing the amazing views and wonderful home. Greg and Angie were super accommodating and took great care of us. We will definitely be back!

The house and location were awesome! something about being on top of a hill brings peace to your soul. Greg & Angie were great hosts :) they were very responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay. definitely recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing and reset yourself kind of stay.

Our group of 5 ladies thuroughly enjoyed our stay at Bethel! Awesome, long range, hill country and river valley views from the large deck. The home is well stocked and outfitted with all the essentials, from paper products to kitchen amenities. Comfortable beds, nice towels. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy the slower pace. We enjoyed evenings on the porch watching the sunset and the stars rise, and watching the surrounding wildlife was a bonus. Bethel is a great location. Just a short drive to Garner State Park for day hiking then soaking our feet in the Frio water when we were done. An hour+ east is the Hill Country Natural Area which also offered a good hike. We rode horses at Elm Creek Stables - George did a great job with our group! Also, the Frio Bat Flight tour was very cool! Hippie Chics - just down the road - has excellent pizza and subs. The Backporch in Leakey was good for their dinner special and after hike cocktail. The Lost Maples Cafe in Utopia was a winner for their burgers and pie. Angie was very helpful and responsive with questions we had for our stay. We had a great time! Thanks!

The views are better than the photos. The house is clean, comfortable, and well kept. Great communication with the owners, who are very helpful. We plan on staying here again.

Our family of 5 including a teenager and a grandfather really enjoyed our stay at Bethel. The house was immaculate and equipped with all the comforts and supplies we needed to feel right at home. It was our first visit to the area and we enjoyed going in and out of Garner State Park each day as it is close by and an easy 5-10 min from the house. But the best part was the view at Bethel. We could hardly tear ourselves away from the sweeping vista on the back balcony. Most afternoons we found ourselves out there reading, relaxing, and enjoying the birds soaring by and the cooling breezes. In the evenings grazing deer frequent the gently sloping landscape below and were a joy to watch. The house is equipped with TVs in every room but we never turned them on, and we have a teenager! The view is that spectacular. The house is situated for great viewing of both sunrise and sunset, and the stargazing is phenomenal. Comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen and a bookcase full of board games enabled all of us to settle in and fully relax. Highly recommend!
