The cabin was awesome! Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 children! Roomy.. We enjoyed the short distance to and from the cabin and beach. The kids were so excited with the cabin, we are Italy enjoyed a fire outside, friendly ducks, SUP board and kayaking at its best!! We will be back!!

Quaint old timey cabin that was just right for 2 adult couples to escape for a few days and enjoy the mountains. We hiked the trails and cooled off in the lake, perfect Vermont weekend.

What was not to like? Great rustic cabin with beautiful views. So relaxing.

We had a great stay at the cabin. The views are spectacular and the beach is less than 20 steps from the front door. Communication with owner was excellent. Some things to keep in mind when visiting, there is no AC and really was not needed, limited food options and 911 does not work on Verizon (we observed a lake emergancy). We would highly recommend visiting this cabin.

Decent vacation places that have a good value are hard to come by, this one did not disappoint! First off, the location is incredible, just across the street from North Beach. It is quite busy there during the day, as it is a popular spot. We loved the early mornings and late afternoons there, when we had the beach and the gorgeous view all to ourselves, the view really cannot be beat! This is an old family camp, with some updates, that has a lot of charm. The front large screened porch was our favorite room. There is room enough for 6 adults, we never felt cramped at all. The kitchen area could be better supplied, I had to improvise at times as I did not have all the tools needed to cook a meal, but that is to be expected. Some decluttering would be helpful there to keep what is useful and toss what is not. The beds were very comfy, got a great nights sleep! I would definitely come back here to rent again! Great location for hiking, lots of trails. Having the lake in front of the house was convenient for swimming. Then ending the day with a campfire was relaxing.

This is a perfect summer getaway in Vermont!! The cabin has all you need to make your stay comfortable!! Amazing lake views and access to the free public beach!! We rented paddleboards from Clyde River Recreation, they delivered the boards and picked them up! We also spent an afternoon at The Pumphouse at Jay Peak, just 45 min north! So much to do in the area, from hiking, boating, museums, ice cream, and just relaxing on the lake!! It was our 3rd year and we will be back!!!

We were quit disappointed with the cleanliness, there were cob webs and dust all over the cabin. The light hanging by the fireplace did not work and when we tried to turn it on it sparked. We did not try to use it again.We washed all the dishes we used before and after we used them.The mattresses on the beds need to be up graded and new. They really are uncomfortable.Being close to the lake was great.

Staying in a comfortable home on the cleanest body of water we have ever seen was a delight. Once you step through the door, you have everything you could need for a relaxing and refreshing vacation. The loons and the bald eagles were an unexpected bonus. We will be back! 🤗

The cabin is very clean and cuter in person. It’s roomy enough for a family. Close to local restaurants and grocery stores. We would definitely stay there again.

2021 was our second year in a row staying here! We love it!! The location is amazing, the best views, direct access to the free beach, and not too far from ice cream!

When I was 6 or 7 years old I stayed with my family in the cottages that used to dot the North Beach. Most of them were sold several years later. This property features one of the remaining cottages that has been added on and updated. The location is amazing. The personal touches are awesome and the communication with Florence was top notch. This is a wonderful cabin right across from the beautiful beach. It had all the amenities we needed. My bed was very comfortable. We had a fun time touring the area, sitting by the fire, reading and just relaxing. We would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting!

We really loved our stay in the little cottage. It’s our 2nd trip to Lake Willoughby but first time at this spot and if was fantastic, what with the lake being right across from the property - glorious! Accommodation clean and simple and has all you might need. And Florence was so helpful a host. We’ll be back. Thank you!

As they say about real estate: location, location, location. That is what this cottage has going for it. It is right across the street from the main beach on Lake Willoughby. No need to drive to the beach: it's a 50 foot walk. On the other hand, for those wanting a secluded lakefront property, look elsewhere, as there were about 100 people on the beach on weekends. The cottage has three bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The living room has two couches and a swivel chair, seating for five. The kitchen has a picnic style table plus a chair at the end, so it seats five easily. The screened room (like a porch) overlooking the lake has seating for about 10 people. So with only three people, we had lots of room. The kitchen is quite small, with no dishwasher. There are sufficient dishes and utensils, but many of the pots and pans are in a pile. There is insufficient shelf/cabinet space. There is no washer/dryer. That's probably because there is no space for one, although the downstairs bathroom could have been modified to fit a stacked washer/dryer. We were there just two nights, so it was not an issue for us. The beds range from soft to medium firm. There are plenty of pillows, blankets, etc. The bedside lamps are on the dim side. It wasn't easy to read in bed. There is adequate closet space. The bathroom shower has overlapping sliding doors that allow only about a 12" opening. Large people, beware. That also is unnecessary as the doors don't have to overlap that much. The entire door is about 30 inches wide. A swinging door, rather than two sliding doors, would have been much more appropriate. The cottage comes with lots of games, movies, toys, etc. It looks very lived in. Sometimes that's great, but there are so many things in the house it looks a bit cluttered and is hard to clean. We found some cobwebs and dust. The cleaning crew needs to do a better job. Therefore, overall I like the cottage. But there are little things that could be improved. I think the rental price is quite good, but the cleaning price is pretty high, and they need to do better cleaning for that price.

Quaint cabin full of unique bric-a-brac. Cozy and a great location. The owners were fantastic and offered all the amenities needed to feel at home. We love the place and tried to extend our stay. We will be booking for next year. A big thanks to the homeowners for sharing this beautiful space.

Perfect location for families with little ones. The walk to the beach is so convenient. The shallow water is also a plus having little ones. We truly enjoyed paddleboarding and taking in the magnificent views. Florence, the owner, was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had.

We had an amazing time on Lake Willoughby. Although the weather didn’t cooperate much for us - we had games and movies to keep us occupied inside. The porch was our favorite feature as we could enjoy the lake breeze even though it was raining. The only thing to note - we didn’t have Verizon cell service. Thankfully the internet connection made it so we could still communicate with others.

We stayed here for a long July 4th weekend and by the end we were doing everything we could to try and extend our trip. The lake itself was clean, clear and calm, you could wade out for a football field, or spend the afternoon on a floaty in the sun near shore. No waves, no seaweed. Perfect temperature for a dip when you get too hot on shore (and to wake up in the morning). The beach was narrow but lovely, right across the street from the house making it so easy to go back and forth for a bathroom or beverage, whatever you need throughout the day. Not too many cars coming and going, and it was probably one of the busier weekends of the year. It was clear that the house has long been in the family and well loved. Seemed kitchen supplies had filled over the years so it could be a bit better organized, but had everything all we needed. The screened in front porch and picnic table outside were both great places for a morning cup of coffee and/or early evening cocktail. The fire pit was a great way to keep the night going under the stars. Neighbors were all friendly, making us feel at home throughout our brief stay too . All in all, we had a great time and would come back again.

Our week was perfect! The view is amazing, the beach is wonderful, and the cabin had everything we needed!
