Beautiful home with comfy furniture and a great outdoor space, plenty of dishes, towels, pool towels etc. Owners were great, a couple thing needed to be addressed when we got there and they were very quick to handle it. HIGHLY RECOMEND this home! Neigbors are great too!! BOOK IT BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DOES!

Location for fishing and boating is great. House not so much. Needs updating and renovation. Too many maintenance visits during our stay. Pool needs work and automated controls added. Bugs in master bath for 12 days coming out of ceiling light fixtures. Owner had Orkin there twice. Had to keep vacuum in bathroom to clean up bugs each day. A lot of preventable maintenance issues that should have been taken care of prior to our arrival. Kitchen needs renovation finished and some type of exhaust. Get rid of the PVC door blinds, cut exterior view by 50 percent and they're to fragile for rental. Fix the grill, I don't like sticking lighters down inside a gas grill, do you know why, because it's dangerous!!! Too many "House Rules", like walking on eggshells. House was not comfortable. Dressers in master bedroom would be nice, not a couch or desk. Had to live out of suitcase on couch for 2 weeks. We won't be back, sorry.

We stayed at this property July 29 - Aug 6, 2022. We were two families, so 8 total. This is tough because we want to balance the pros with the cons. Pros: The house is very spacious as is the outside property. Pool and dock are great - we really enjoyed them and the manatees that swam up to say hello to us. We had very nice beach chairs to use and the location is close to many attractions and restaurants. Whenever we had any issues, the property manager was very responsive and did whatever they could to handle the issues. But not all issues could be resolved quickly, unfortunately. Cons: The house is a bit outdated, the kitchen reno is not complete, A/C upstairs is very load (wakes you from your sleep kind of loud) and they have a roach issue that needs preventative treatment. We found huge roaches on day 3 and when we alerted the property manager, they did respond immediately and said they'd never experienced this before and sent out Orkin. The Orkin man came and said he'd been to this property in the past - so it was not a new issue. We proceeded to see big roaches all over the side of the house where the kitchen is (upstairs bathrooms, downstairs, in the garage) and it really put a damper on our whole week. We took pictures of everything but honestly for cost of the place, we expected preventative treatment or to be alerted to this issue at least. Two days before we left the pool motor completely stopped working and we were told a new one was on order but wouldn't get to us in time. So we couldn't enjoy the pool with the pollen and all the stuff that accumulated for the last day of our stay. Location and size of property is amazing, but the owners need to invest in ongoing pest control and make some improvements to the A/C.

Spacious house with a fabulous pool and backyard

The house has a wonderful master bedroom and tons of room in the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything thing you would need for cooking. Plenty of places to sit in the living room. The outside area has a beautiful pool and an amazing grill area with plenty of outdoor seating. If you love to get out and run or walk, the neighborhood is great for that also. Key Colony Beach also has a 9 hole 3 par golf course which my Dad and I enjoyed. If you are looking to stay in a beautiful home in a great location, then this is a home that you would love.

The house, pool deck, and dock were all very clean and well equipped. As fishermen, we loved the cutting station and the bait freezer right at the dock. There is a lot of furniture and many places to gather. We would definitely come back.

Although the weather was not great due to rough seas, the stay was still enjoyable. The house is fabulous. We could not have been happier. We tried to book it again for next year but is already reserved. We certainly understand why.

We thoroughly enjoyed the home and amenities. The pool and outdoor kitchen were wonderful. The park and surrounding area was peaceful. Would visit again and hopefully soon🌴❤️

Great stay, plenty of room for our large family gathering. Well equipped kitchen with top notch appliances. The best location on the water for boating - ocean side or bay side were both easy access. Make sure you follow those Key Colony rules/regs, especially DON'T speed!

Gorgeous house with tons of room. One of our most relaxing vacations of all time. Local contact very responsive. Marathon is close enough and far enough at the same time.

We had a group of 10, ages 20 - 74. The house was exactly like the pictures except the kitchen has been updated. The rest of the house is probably original, so there might be some minor maintenance issues. We loved the fact that every bedroom has its own bathroom and there were two spare bathrooms, too. The location is perfect, unless you want to stay up all night partying. This is a nice community with many rules. The water access to both the Gulf and the ocean were a huge reason we rented this house, and it did not disappoint! We went out every single day. There are manatees that hang out under the dock, which is cool. We had two SUV’s, a truck and a trailer and all fit fine in the driveway area. The pool is much better than I expected. It’s long and deep and there was plenty of seating around the pool for everyone. The only negative for our group was there wasn’t a large dining table that would fit us all for meals. However, between the table, barstools at the counter, and the corner table, we all had places to sit. This was a great rental and we would definitely stay here again or recommend it.

This is a first class property in Key Colony. Located on Vaca Cut there is good access to Atlantic and Gulf. Dock has new decking, which can be hot in the summer sun, with a bait freezer, water, and power. I was able to plug shore power in for my boat to the 110 outlet with no problems (30A service on my end). Many nice restaurants nearby. Owner has a very useful information binder in the house. House is very spacious and kitchen well equipped. Pool and outdoor kitchen is outstanding. Owners were very good at communicating the local requirements and quick to respond to a few minor items we found. Very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Second stay here and this time for 2 weeks. We will be back!

We loved the house! Very spacious, clean, with tons of household provisions. The pool is big and kept very clean. The dock is spacious and accommodated our 27 ft boat. This was perfect for 2 families, with 4 adults and 5 kids. We had a blast and hope to return again!

Absolutely beautiful!

We rented this to get away from our home in Broward during Covid. Despite a week of rain we had a great time. House was very clean. Large kitchen with up to date appliances. Owners and manager couldn't have been more accommodating. When week was up we wished we had booked 2 weeks. Used Island Time Boat rental for weekly rental of boat delivered to dock. Loved the neighborhood great for sunset walks!

This property was amazing. We had 7 adults, and had plenty of room for all of us. The pool was refreshing, and the gazebo was a highlight of our days-to start with coffee and end with an adult beverage and cigar (for some) after a day of wandering or fishing. The doc was large and sturdy, and we were able to fish from it every day when we weren't on the boat. From the house/dock we saw pelicans, manatees, baracudas, iquanas and lizards.....was a relaxing, comfortable vacation property--thank you!

Beautiful home located right off Vaca Cut. Well appointed, quiet and relaxing. Pool ad hot tub are perfect. Kitchen is well equipped and spacious. House itself is spacious and laid out well for families. Access to Atlantic and Gulf is easy. Lots of Tarpon just outside the canal entrance. We have stayed in many homes over the years in the Keys and this one is by far the finest. Owners were very good at communicating with us. Looking forward to coming back. House is located inside the City of Key Colony so if you haven't stayed there before fair warning , don't speed and follow the rules. We had no problems because we stayed in KC before. Rules are not overbearing. just follow them.

Had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. We had a party of seven adults and had plenty of room and privacy. The kitchen, which we used often was well stocked. Also an amazing pool and hot tub. Easy access to the ocean was a plus. The only bad thing is the week went by too fast. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home, grandchildren really enjoyed the pool and we loved the dock and canal For an easy ride out to the gulf for great fishing and lobstering.

If you are looking for a 5 star place to stay, keep looking. It appears the house was recently bought with the intention of much needed upgrades. For example, the kitchen sink flooded the floor our first night because we used an old, leaking sprayer which apparently the owner knew about. We also thought something was wrong with the kitchen and garage refrigerators. They were warm inside when we arrived and took all night to cool our groceries. We constantly had to call the property manager and owners on how to operate the older appliances. The cabinets were not clean inside and overall, in poor condition. The bedding needs upgrading. One bed downstairs didn't even come with a box spring. The beds upstairs are average and a few of us had to move rooms to get comfortable. The master shower doesn’t work properly. Be careful of the spa and pool. The spa main drain is not permanently fixed to the drain, and the pool is over chlorinated. Be aware the 4th bedroom off the kitchen has limited privacy since access to the garage/laundry is through the bedroom. Watch your step in the garage. It appears to be storage unit filled with items like a couch, toilet, bathroom sink and other clutter left behind. If you like to control the temperature be advised the thermostats are locked. Owner doesn’t allow guests to adjust to their own comfort level. The Cable TV did not work in any of the bedrooms. The part that really spoiled our week was we just returned home and the owner immediately sent us a note that we left a dirty grill and would be charged an additional cleaning fee. This was after we purchased our own grill brush since the one left for us was not serviceable. There are no tools, instructions and grill has to be lit with lighter sticks. Then the owner told us if we gave a good 5 star review (which they felt they deserved) they would refund the grill cleaning charge! Despite the deficiencies, our group was very considerate and followed all the "house rules." The location is nice but the owner is hard to please, and clearly not interested in an honest review of your stay.

Lovely home with excellent location. This was our 4th time staying in Key Colony Beach and it is wonderful. This property was perfect for our family. Great house, on the canal, everything ran smoothly. Pool and outdoor kitchen were perfect for enjoying drinks and dinner after a day on the water. We never wanted to leave the property, except when we went out on the boat. Convenient to shopping and good local seafood markets. Cannot thank the property owners and the property manager enough for all their help in making our family vacation perfect!

We are a party of seven and this home was just perfect for us! Beautiful property, great location with privacy. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The pool area in the back was wonderful, we spent many of our days there relaxing in the sun. There’s also a brand new outside kitchen area where we grilled out many nights for dinner. We also rented a boat for a few days and there’s easy access to the ocean. The neighborhood is beautiful and we can't wait to come back. Jim and Tudor were awesome to work with. I highly recommend this home!

Can’t beat this location for boating . House has great floor plan for a large family . Property manager communicates everything and the owners are the nicest couple ! Highly recommend this property !
