Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful, clean and very spacious camp. We greatly enjoyed the comfort of the house, fishing on the dock and the location right between the beach, fishing jetty's and town. We would love to stay here again next year. I did forget to clean the grill, so hope this wasn't much trouble. Thanks again!!!!!!!

We were pleasantly surprised how nice this place is. It is perfectly placed in between the beach and the City of Matagorta. We caught several fish off the lighted dock and there are plenty of rod holders for several rods. Highly recommend!!

Never heard of Matagorda until we chose it as our destination for our company fishing trip. Very small fishing town. Very neat and unique place. When we went in September, it seemed no one except the locals were there. We were ok with that. This property met all of our expectations. Very clean! Plenty of room! Very nice owner. Huge deck to fish off of along with a cleaning station. I don’t have anything negative to say about the house. It was perfect!

The house was great! Very welcoming and comfortable for a large family. I had a couple of questions before booking and the owner was quick to respond. She was very accommodating. The house was clean and looked better than the pictures. The upstairs loft was tight but it served its purpose. 3 beds are in the loft and the other 4 beds are in a tiny room next to the loft. We absolutely loved all the bathrooms especially with our big family! We spent a lot of time on the big deck as well as the outdoor space downstairs. It was convenient having a bathroom downstairs while we were fishing. The location was great. It's close to the beach. Our GPS could not find the house. I knew the house was on Beach Rd and what the house looked like so we were able to find the house. There was plenty of parking. We had a 32ft trailer, 4 vehicles and 2 side by sides. I only have 1 negative thing to say about the house. The pillows were awful. They were thin and flat. I had to put 2 together to make one. So i would suggest bringing your own pillow if you like them fluffy. Overall, we loved the house! The owners were nice and it made our family trip wonderful! If we come back, we will definitely stay here again.

We fished off the dock in the back. The location was great. The beach is a little less then desirable but is ok to fish from.

I almost do not want to share how wonderful this house is, as then it will be booked up all the time. My family of 5 (three boys 12-16) and my parents all stayed in this house. The boys fished and crabbed in the mornings and night. Had the best time! The dock is one of the best in the area for enjoying the river and stars. The beach was close and during the day we enjoyed the sand and the ocean water. Such a great vacation ❤️

We really like the place and all it had to offer. Main level is great, do are the decks and front porch. Nice grill, working washer/dryer and a place to lock up fishing gear over night was very nice as well. Disapponting problem witht the boat lift. This baot lift does not worj for your standart bay boat, I wish that was disclosed ahead of time.

We had a blast!! This was the right location and the fishing was great! Our morning devotions were influenced greatly by the openness and natural surroundings outside our porch! The crab, shrimp and crawfish boil seemed to taste a lot better just by being at this location! The host was very easy to access and extremely kind! I highly recommend this house and will be back next year for our 3rd annual Honorhim.net Men’s Retreat!

The house was very clean and the owner was absolutely amazing. We are already planning our next trip ! The fishing was excellent in this location. We were very grateful the house exceeded our expectations !

House had everything we needed for our big family. Plenty of kitchen supplies, which was great. We saw so much wildlife including coyotes and a huge bobcat. All from the dock! Can't wait to do it again.

Only problem was the tv's . remote would not work even though went out and bought batteries . There is only a on and off button . But it would not turn off so had to unplug to shut off . I would recommend this house . Dock and cleaning station where the best I have gotten down there

I highly recommend this property! It was very well stocked with anything we needed and was very clean. Wifi worked great and my kids really enjoyed playing the Nintendo 64 on a rainy day. We brought our jet ski and it was very convenient to tie up to the dock. We caught lots of catfish and drum from the dock and my son caught an eel! Unfortunately the tide was very strong our entire stay and we were not able to fish from the beach as we normally do. We were not able to go past the second san bar without being knocked over. Also, if you plan to drive on the beach I would recommend 4x4, we pulled out several people everyday that got stuck in the sand. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Everything you’d want for a family getaway. Plenty of room to be comfy and enjoy a relaxing trip. Good location for fishing, shopping and trips to the beach. Looking forward to booking again. Only thing we would bring for our next trip is baby gate’s.

My wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with all of our family. We could not have asked for a more perfect location. We had 3 generations under one roof and all had a great time.
