Very good breakfast, especially the waffles. The rec room was a lot of fun and the themed rooms were awesome.

Can’t think of a thing that we didn’t like.

The breakfast was so amazing and as always the staff were incredibly lovely. The room was very fun and I was happy the hot tub was open.

There were ants in the bathroom and there was no soap or shampoo in the shower. There was only one light blanket in the room so we gave it to our friend who slept on the couch and just used the sheet. It got very cold in the room and so we did not sleep well. I'm not sure if there's a heater, but we could not find one.

The pictures online shows clean and nice rooms but after my arrival, the condition was not acceptable and was not livable for my family and a friend. We immediately returned the room, and they still charge me $297 dollar. We left the Hicksville Bud and Breakfast. The online picture can be misleading, the room cause my friend sick.

Beautiful location, friendly staff

The place is a real mess. The thermostat in our room was broken and in 40 degree weather this quickly became quite unpleasant, staff provided a space heater that blew the circuits, we then changed rooms to much smaller room and the heater in there wouldn't turn off so it was way too hot. Management offered paltry "refund" that was less that the difference between the rooms. We drove 120 miles to basically be told if we didn't like it we could turn around and go back, not particularly great customer service. Apparently under new management as of a month or so ago and the staff, as friendly and helpful as they were trying to be, simply weren't trained to handle these kinds of problems, they kept calling the management team who apparently are based in Joshua Tree and got only half measure replies that didn't do anything to really address our valid concerns. Sucks too, was really looking forward to this little vacation but it really fell way short of my expectations.

this place is amazing! the location is super sweet. the staff is really really nice and accommodating. and the rooms, ooh the rooms they’re just bloody amazing. we got to see a few and o m g. you find small new details everywhere you look, the detailing is just bloody awesome. we stayed jn the 420 and it was everything, absolutely loved it. the welcome gift was spot on also. and breakfast is included and was the best waffle if my life.

Our stay at Hicksville pines blew me out of the water. There was so much to do. The site is gorgeous. There is art and antiques literally everywhere you look. They provided breakfast which was a welcome surprise as it was absolutely delicious. I actually really liked that they did not have toiletries in the shower. I felt like it cut down on a tremendous amount of waste that is produced when you stay in a traditional hotel. We were given a tour upon arrival, that made me feel extremely comfortable on the property and able to move about and use all of the resources available to us with ease! We spent many hours playing music and games in the rec room, it was an incredible added value to our trip.

Literally nothing I loved my stay. Thank you Hicksville Pines!

the volcano vaporiser that was provided looked like it had never ever been cleaned. this was extremely disappointing as we were really looking forward to using it, but it would have been a health hazard to use. also the lighting in the room was very low

the haunted mansion room was decorated perfectly! Super cute! The whole place is very dog friendly. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was very quiet and serene. Plenty of things to do on the grounds and it’s also very close to town.

AC in room didn’t work well at all and had to ask for a fan because it was so hot in the room. The room also had ants, mainly in the bathroom but a few in the main room as well. im sure due to the heat. Bed wasn’t very comfortable and sunk in towards the middle.

A remote gem, with some quirky, although pleasantly surprising extras.

The drive there was tough in the dark, very bendy mountain roads.

Didn’t even have wash cloths and bar soap for bathing so we had to buy our own. It had snowed heavily yet the walkways were neither shoveled nor salted. We are 74 & not used to snow & slipped & fell daily. When I emailed the ask if the grounds would be plowed I got rude answers saying there would be shovels for us to use & «  sorry we can’t build you a new parking lot « . Other lodgings were plowed & maintained ! It would also have been nice to have a couple throw rugs on the cold hard floor and entry way.

Very chill, lots of amenities for the price. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and rec room. Super excited to come back and see the other rooms. I stayed in the third man room.

Kids on the property, thought it was 21 and over? Not the cleanest but clean.

I would not recommend it to my worst enemyWe are both in our late 80s and we’re given a room that required us to bring our luggage up several (10-12) steps which had very poor railings.

See above. The girl at the check out refused to give us a receipt saying we would receive one via email. So far we have not received one. When I asked for one again she just walked away and shut her door.wo
