The house was clean, is spacious with a lovely garden and swimming pool (albeit cold)

The agency to collect the keys is about 20min on the paper but in the height of summer it actually takes about 40min. After a long journey you don't need another 1h to get the keys from an agency. It could be left on a safe box at the property. The agency litteraly give you no other information other than a map to get to the house but most people now have a GPS and information on recycling. When we arrived at the property there was no information whatsoever on the house. The big problem was the pool which has an archaic opening/closing system. We were unable to figure out how to open the pool (although we are familiar with pools as we have one at home). We contacted the owner through Bookings but never got an answer. We contacted the agency Interhome which obvisouly was closed on a Sunday ( very smart when most holidays start on Saturdays in FR!). I actually had to call the agency about 11am on Monday (nobody thought about contacting me before!) to request an explanation on how to open the pool. They told me they would send a technician about 2pm. At 3pm nobody had arrived so we went for a wonder. When we came back the pool was opened but with still no explanation on how to close it so It had to be left open the whole week! I contacted Interhome customer service subsequently and am utterly chocked at their answers and behaviors. I have actually never dealt with such people in my life before. If I have a word of recommendation for the owner, get rid of this agency and get yourself a reliable help who could hand the key over at the property and make sure that all documentation is available on arrival.
