Very nice & comfortable stay. The route to chalet a bit steep & require 4 wheel vehicle or 2 wheeler with snow chain during winter. Shortcut available, best to look carefully at the map rather than 100% following google. Quite area. Mountain view is outstanding..

The location is fantastic, chalet is perfect... it was clean, extremely comfortable, great amenities & kitchen equipment and wonderful balcony with view of the mountains & cows!. Short 5 min drive to Firstbahn cable car and shops.

we liked everything

Exceptional views from many windows. Appliances were excellent and the kitchen was very well equipped. The decor was very pleasant and furnishings of good quality, with attention to details like soft sheets, extra pillows and pleasant scents. The apartment has been remodeled recently and is in great condition. We enjoyed the attention to lighting and the abundance of wood accents. Good heating. This is a beautiful, quiet neighborhood where we have stayed many times, but for access here it is best to have a car.

There are challenges if you are older and not so able anymore. Stairs inside and outside the apartment are a little difficult (the first step of the outside stair is steep for elderly people). We were not allowed to use parking spaces directly in front of the building (which were empty) but were instructed to use an assigned space further down the road (with a garage, which must be welcome for winter visitors). Parking space is always tight in Grindelwald! Some advice: add simple "foreigner" instructions for the washer/dryer (I could not close the dryer, in spite of knowing some of the German terms). These problems were small in comparison to our enjoyment of the apartment overall. We would love to return to Sunneblick!

Our family loved everything about this Chalet. The location was great, just off a main road and just far enough from town to be quiet and offer the ideal view of the surrounding mountains. Inside was a blend of traditional style with modern touches. We could sit out on the balcony for ages. Thank you to our hosts for a special stay.

The chalet are warmly decorated and very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped, and even seasonings are provided. The scenery outside the window is superb! The owner is very friendly and helpful, we contact him when we encounter difficulties, he can reply and provide help in time. Although there were some accidents due to heavy snow during our stay, our whole family still liked this cabin very much.

A beautiful chalet in Grindelwald, quiet, sunny and comfortable! Enough spaces to move around, enjoy the bells and birds singing, overlook the village peacefully surrounded by mountains. The host is very kind and has paid attention in many details. Such as the apartment has installed the window net to stop insects! I don't see many holiday apartment or hotel do this. This is certainly appreciated. The garage is 50m away on foot but you may park the car directly in front of the apartment to up/offload the luggages. The parking slot seems always available. During the stay, we had also used guest card to take the local bus to the centre village / take the cable car to "First". The bus isn't frequently scheduled always - up to season and week days. But even if it might run per hour, as long as you know the schedule it's not a problem at all. "First" is a must to visit and worth full day around. Just a small tips: Coming down from First, you may exit at "Bort" station. Either by scooter, or take a walk like we do. We enjoyed the great view and stopped at the apartment directly. It was an highlight in our stay.

It's rather a very minor thing and indeed not a "dislike": We propose to prepare for the guest a full roll of Haushaltspapier. We got nearly empty roll left for us upon our arrival. As it was on Sunday we got no chance for shopping that evening.

We spent an amazing week in the chalet. Beautiful view, lots of space, nicely furnished, well equipped house. we couldn't believe how clean it was when we arrived! Top quality for money.

We loved everything.

Gorgeous chalet decorated with the right amount of flare and style but also extremely comfortable and homey. The view is just spectacular, the photos do not do it justice as it is facing the most spectacular mountain range. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living area spacious and the downstairs master bedroom that we slept in was just super comfortable, we will definitely book this chalet again as we could not have asked for more.

The best view in town, it feels like the magical Eiger is close. The apartment is really beautiful and cosy, equipped with everything you need. The most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The owner was very helpful and nice. I usually don’t pay attention to the WiFi connection but this time I had to work a little bit and it was great. I loved everything about our stay at Chalet Sunneblick and I’ll come back!

Beautiful Chalet that felt too good to be true. Beautiful interior, everything spotless clean. Big spacious kitchen with all the things we could wish for and more and easy to get around. In combination with the breathtaking view (see photo) it really invites to spend evenings at home cooking and watch the sunset and enjoy the view. Bathrooms were flawless aswell and of high standard. Keys were super easy to be found. Communication with the host also without issue, although since everything was so perfect no further contact was needed. We would immediately spend another stay there!
