I would suggest shutters, blinds, or drapes for privacy since the loft is completely exposed to outside viewing. This would give it a five-star rating and the investment would be worth it for repeat customers and others they recommend.

My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights. Lovely loft in an amazing location. The wine, cheese and crackers was a very kind touch. Having washer and dryer access was great as well.

This property was perfect, all the comforts of home and decorated to match the surrounding area. A very nice view from the living room. Would definitely come back.

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. We loved the amazing location! We could walk right out the door with our morning coffee to take in the breathtaking views!

It is small but very functional and only steps away from the ocean and a short walk to downtown Pacific Grove. I would definitely recommend staying here (unless you are trying to book it during the same time we want to visit again).

The description is accurate. Check in is simple and easy. This place is clean, cozy and quiet. The views of the ocean without being on the busy main road are beautiful. It's a half block, if that, to the trail that borders the entire stretch of Oceanview Road. You can choose to walk the entire trail, part of it or just sit on a bench and enjoy the sites and sounds of Monterey Bay. The place is centrally located and you can easily walk south to the lighthouse from the rental or walk north where you can get ice cream or a nice dinner. Sanctuary Vacation management personnel were extremely attentive to our needs and checked in on us via text, email and one phone call. They truly wanted our experience to be a good one and they achieved it! The only thing I would say that would have given this place 5 stars would be a new mattress for the bed or perhaps a memory foam topper. All in all, we would stay here again.

The location was perfect for what I wanted to do this weekend. It was great to have a designated parking space for my car. The house was quaintly quirky and quieter than I thought it would be given close proximity to the main road along the ocean. The view of the ocean was an added bonus and it was great to be able to see the ocean from the main area. My only challenge was finding the sweet spot in the old heaters thermostats. Plenty of blankets available to make it cozy. Enjoyed my time thoroughly.

Well designed but very tiny. Does not have all the conveniences you desire for example no dishwasher or disposal. Great location and some view of water. Even on a tiny street!

There were a few things that could be improved, but overall I would probably return. Probably best for a weekend stay. The kitchen is not meant for meals in house! The stove is old electric with coils that are off kilter. There’s very few kitchen tools, but plenty of serrated knives! Obviously the kitchen is tiny.

This was absolutely perfect for my anniversary trip. Ocean views, close to a wonderful restaurant, and right near a walking trail. I also loved that there were black out blinds in the bedroom! The parking spot in the front was great. I would definitely recommend this place!

Everything was easy.

They gave me the wrong lockbox code. I did not appreciate being locked out in the dark/cold when I arrived. I was able to get it sorted out with the after hours number, was glad they had that set up. They sent so many pointless emails and phone calls but then messed up the one important thing. Otherwise the place was nice and as advertised.

Pros:
- Location: 1 block from the water and a few mins walk to Lovers Point. We walked the 1.5 miles along the path to Cannery Row and it was gorgeous the whole way! A 3 min drive to the heart of Pacific Grove and Carmel is only 15 mins.
- Sanctuary was easy to work with and checked in via text and phone, which was really nice. They were quite responsive with questions.
- Having the small kitchen was nice to store food in the fridge and they provide coffee/tea for the mornings. We didn't cook in the kitchen but it looked pretty well stocked.
-Parking out front is convenient and easy (if you only have 1 room for more than that.)
Cons (not much!):
- The mattress REALLY needs to be replaced. It's not supportive at all and folds in on itself. We called it the Taco Bed. As much as we loved the location and rest of the loft, I wouldn't stay here again without a new mattress.
- The lighting in the bedroom could be changed out. The sconce on the wall is much too bright/blue-colored for the evenings but the lamps are more like nightlights and you can't read by them.
- Be careful with both the blinds and the closet doors in the bedroom. Both are easy to get off track. Should be an easy fix and I mentioned it on the checkout forms so hopefully those are fixed up.
- While the washer/dryer is nice to have, there isn't any detergent, FYI.
